  • In this video, Chris comes over with a new hot tent and sets it up in my backyard to see how everything works before we take it out on a winter mining trip into November. This thing with the wood stove looks like a game changer for those winter mining sessions!
For those interested, this tent is a "Preself" brand Tipi Hot Tent size Large, and can be found on Amazon.

Don't lean on the outside of your tent when sleeping might get a brain freeze . Understand too you've rigged the jet boat up as an ice breaker as well 😂😂😉

I have the same tent. Be careful make sure you buy better stakes. . I had mine set up with a stove going inside and the wind pulled the stakes and collapse the tent and olmost melt the whole tent with me inside of it... Definitely get better stakes your life depends on it.. maybe not your life but your skin from having melted plastic on it.. i have a vidro on my channel where we camped oyt and gold mined in mine. It was fun. But the tent blew down while we were out mining and again while we were sleeping. The stakes dont stay in the ground very good

That's good to know! Better stakes would make for a nice add on! How warm was it inside with your stove running? We're taking it out tomorrow for a 3 nighter on the river... Hoping to find some thawed ground to dig! Or maybe build a fire to thaw some :)

I have 1/4 inch rebar 20 inches long now & no problems since modifications but before I have had the same problem as Kris did. Use pine bows or even snow or rocks around the border to keep the wind from catching it if necessary.
