Stat.........in a clean pocket, Luke Altmyer is #2 in the nation is pass completion percentage at, like, 89%. Number 1 is Dart from Ole Miss. Altmyer is good (and smart).
The common thread is no fullback, no misdirection, no QB with Frost/Frazier/Armstrong guts. It's the Big10. It's gonna rain, snow, blow and Satterfield's YMCA Flag Football offense is going to be exposed.
The reference to Favre and lack of touch was spot on. Similar to Tommy Armstrong. Cannon arm but the same velocity at 5 yards or 55. Rough game Friday overall but a lot of bright spots.
The reason why the 3-3-5 usually works against the run, is because it hides the LBs from the OL. Illinois and UNI were successful running because the runners were patient, and they ran RB draws. That gives the OL an extra second to find and get to the LBs. NUs LBs are struggling to get off the blocks and getting caught inside
as an illinois fan, your huskers offense was tough to defend all night and your QB is a great talent and I look forward to seeing him develop. I think nebraska is a very talented team but they just ran out of steam in the 4th quarter/OT. I think if yall can bounce back from this you’ll be an 8/9 win team. good luck the rest of the season!
Year 2, not many mistakes by the offense but the defense and defensive play calling was very poor last night. Guess that’s gonna be the focus on the next episode of chasing 3 lol
I appreciate how no matter how bad a game goes you two always find a way to joke about it and be silly. I wish I could do that instead of cursing at the TV blaming the refs lol...
The defense blew NUMEROUS plays.. that cost us the game! I know some want to say, well, if we didn't miss that field goal... Yeah, well if the defense hadn't allowed the tight end, on two different plays, to be wide open IN THE END ZONE, we wouldn't have needed the field goal.
Correct me if I'm wrong- 1st and goal and the OC throws the ball 3 times? Guess the O line is not as good as advertised. No play action no fullback and no misdirection to make the LB's eyes move. That D effort was abysmal. Ohio State may hang 70 on that D. Questionable play calling continues to derail another wise Great effort from the QB. 6-6 may be a real possibility.
It was a hot night... the Nebraska defense was 'gassed' in the 4th Q... and both offense and defense were really gassed in the OT... Look at the tape again, you'll see...
Rephrase the second one. Getting embarrassed on national TV. We’ve handled TOs We didn’t get embarrassed We lost a close game vs a very game opponent Additionally. We shouldn’t discount the let down of the overthrow and the missed fg. Either of those would have won the game for NU
Take pressure off Riaola take the ball in overtime. Out coached especially after halftime adjustments. Riaola enters portal if wins and playoffs don't come soon😢
All these fans that said they just wanted a bowl game all of a sudden are calling for rhules head after the first loss. Yeah the defense looked porous, but we knew after last week we had issues. I still say we are a 7-5 team. I am ok with that, it shows improvement
If we keep playing this good Rutgers and Indiana are going to stomp us. Might be able to make a bowl but probably not. Our DB scheme is horrendous. The only reason they were decent last year is know we played had a qb.
You're the OC and the crowd is chanting "Go Big Red!" You're in control of your destiny to win that game with your decision making. It's third and three. You only need three yards, not a touchdown. What play do you call? Satterfield IMHO lost them that game with the call he made. That same mentality lost them the game against Minnesota last year when the QB threw an interception. Nebraska won't ever be an elite program until that mindset changes.
What was wrong was not going for it on 4th that's on Rhule. The play Satterfield called got our TE wide open. Dylan over threw the TE. You don't know that we just get stuffed. Especially when we were down to our 3rd string LOT and 2nd string LG. It is nuts to put this loss on Satterfield.
Actually they didn't call that play it was suppose to go for a short pass Dylan saw the tight in and tried to make that play. Which makes sense if the pass was just a little better
@@HuskerPower97 It's not about if the receiver could get open, it's about the percentage of success on third down and the downside risk of not completing the play. "Moneyball". If you watched the LSU vs UCLA game, LSU had a third and three and threw a high percentage three yard pass to the sideline for a first down. That kept the drive alive, LSU scored on that drive and won the game.
Interesting. You crunch the numbers looking at Nebraska in OT and logically there's only one conclusion. Pelini cursed the Huskers. Statistically, it's the only thing that makes any sense. /s
Best recap pod out there. Keep it up!
Thank you for the therapy today. I needed this.
You guys are seriously the best podcast. Thank you for posting in good times and bad! GBR!

Dylan played great. Hopefully we can learn from this one and come back strong. I agree with you guys, think we are still on the right track. GBR!!
Best pod…
Best break down…
Bahe & Rudd Podcast ….in Da Club …let’s go
The common thread is no fullback, no misdirection, no QB with Frost/Frazier/Armstrong guts.

Complaining about your QB is silly. He will be a first round draft pick the year he is eligible. for a 19 yo freshman he is amazing.
He did fine it's not the 90s not many have fullbacks no major power uses them for sure
Tell me you didn't watch the game without telling me.
always look forward to our therapy sessions
Best husker pod out there.
best postgame program. others were too emotional and disappointed. better here.
Need you guys today.
The reference to Favre and lack of touch was spot on. Similar to Tommy Armstrong. Cannon arm but the same velocity at 5 yards or 55. Rough game Friday overall but a lot of bright spots.
OK, OK, OK everyone is saying this is the best podcast. I just subscribed. get off my back.

I was at the game and NU defense and offense was off. Hands off to Illinois they literally did what they wanted
This loss is on the defense and special teams. Satt wasn’t perfect but the offense is the only reason we were in this game.
teach dylan to kick - his punting was fine! He's a natural with the arm! Why not the leg too.
Great content!! Love these cats

I think the main thing was we got severely out coached. I wonder how much was brand new, bilema held a lot back the first 3 games
Year 2, not many mistakes by the offense but the defense and defensive play calling was very poor last night. Guess that’s gonna be the focus on the next episode of chasing 3 lol
South Louisiana Tech had a 3rd and goal from 93 yards away

(Having only seen it live) That first play by Illinois in OT they motioned right and our safety didn’t roll down to the force.
Missed assignment

Satterfield is clueless about how to win in The Big 10.

I see us winning maybe 3 more games to get to 6-6, at least that beats 5-7 and a bowl slightly sweetens the 6-6.
Rephrase the second one.

We’ve handled TOs
We didn’t get embarrassed
We lost a close game vs a very game opponent

The comparison Nick was looking for with his crush on Dylan is Molly Ringwald with Jake in 16 candles movie lol

Thanks for the insight. You mentioned someone named Stu who puts Husker stats on X. What's his last name?
@stewmanji

That was a great play call. Should have went for it on 4th. Everyone knew we were done when they put the kick team in.

Yea, we don't want a throw to a wide open TE in the end zone, worst OC ever
Matt Ruhle looked like a worried plumber on the sideline
If Uncle Donny can't get the line playing better. DK is going to be the QB next year
Dragon glass could kill the white walkers in GOT.
Just gotta get 6 wins and a bowl game before we get ahead of ourselves. 3rd & 42 😂😂😂😂😂

Hate to you boys this but your defense just isn’t good. Tight ends will eat them alive going forward in the big ten
Nebby sucks
