You show more than one tribe in this video. If u are wondering about the Anasazi, they were all killed off by Navajo shamen because they, the Anasazi, were evil. They were ruthless slaves traders who capture and sold off people from all surrounding tribes except the Navajo, were too numerous to fight. I've even wondered if this was the reason for the Cliff Dwellers living in the cliffs, made it impossible to be taken prisoner on the Anasazi raids.

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊 It's fascinating to delve into the history of these ancient peoples. The Wupatki area was primarily inhabited by the Sinagua people, who lived there mostly between 1100 and 1200 AD after the main eruption of Sunset Crater. Several structures in the region were inhabited before the eruption and were vacated when the volcano erupted.
While the history of the Ancestral Puebloans (often referred to as the Anasazi) is complex, there's no evidence to support the idea that they were all killed off by Navajo shamans. If you have some sources that support this, we'd love to check them out and research them for a future video! The tribes/structures shown in the video were for reference to the structure's design, and it's amazing how closely all the designs changed and matched across the region throughout different time periods. Chaco Canyon really is the best showcase of this, but Wupatki has several that can be seen as well. They don't highlight this in the National Monument text but in several of the documents we borrowed from our local library.
It's always great to learn more about these ancient cultures and appreciate the diverse history of the region! 🌵🏛️

They were cannibals and slave traders, part of the Chaco culture. The Dine finally ran them out

That's a good theory. Another one we recently heard is that the farming ground went bad, and they moved for better soil.

“Just the lack of water” was a huge thing. A necessity.

At this site, They lived 10 miles from the nearest river, which is strange in general. Water, of course, is extremely important, but many believe it wasn't the main reason they left.

End of an Ice Age? Do you mean the one that we have been in for 2.6 million years and are still in?
Make no mistake -- this is an interglacial period. We don't know when the next glaciation begins, but you can count on it happening sooner or later.

The landscape had changed a lot sine the end of the last ice age. Who knows when we'll have another one.
