I am 76 years old. I’ve heard this song sung by thousands of folks throughout my life. This is without a doubt the best version I’ve ever heard. It gives me chill.

Dan’s been on UA-cam for over 12 years. In fact, he has his very old videos still up so people can see his progression, and how his hard work has paid off. He wants to be an inspiration to people, that if you work hard, you can achieve the things that you’re working to achieve.

It shows the journey of Faith that goes from the reverent shyness of the newly converted to the joy of seeing oneself as a son - recognized and accepted - cradled in the arms of the Father.
Dan is a musical genius - who takes the song he wants and transforms it into something much better... His fans define this as "Dan doing Dan’s things". 🤣
He commented that as his Faith grew stronger, he began to choose his covers more carefully - so that he gave people only ideas of joy, power, hope and gratitude.

I love watching people react to this, but too many times this song is interrupted so many times that the full affect is not felt as deeply. Dan’s rendition of this song reached into my soul and reached the very core of my being! In a week, he has become one of my favourite singers of all time! His duet of Seal’s “Kissed By A Rose” with Violet Orlandi has become my earworm! His range of vocals is amazing! ♥️🎶♥️🎶
People might pause a lot for a couple reasons. They don't want to get copyright claimed and they don't want to miss anything if they have some thoughts they want to say. I do prefer the ones that don't pause though or keep it to a minimum

Yes, I just happened to catch this the day it released and I have watched it once a day since then! It is inspiring and, at this point, the best rendition of this song ever, IMHO! My kids are going to flip out that I want it played at my memorial!! I am 66 and I'm not close to going yet, buy I ain't that far either! I have had fun watching the different 'Reaction Video's' & I too am glad you just let it run!!

I know it is probably hard to choose what to listen next, without actually watching it, and not spoil our impression with you. I can recommend "fairy tale" latest one, as the song he goes absolutely insane, and almost rips himself in half for the delivery he strikes us with.
I just watched your reaction to this for the second time. I loved the look of awe and disbelief on your face the entire time he was singing. My first time hearing this or him was right after he released it. I was alone in my home and I was completely stunned the entire song and my mouth was open when he completed that last, sustained note. I had to play it again immediately because I couldn't believe what I had heard. A LOT of Metal musicians can do a lot of things that nobody suspects. Vocals like this, set to songs such as this one, are prime examples. It's really because Metal goes un-appreciated because of erroneous information and a pre-conceived notion;
The public in general believed it when The Church labeled Rock and Metal as 'The Devil's Music' and satanic, etc, DECADES ago. Hell, Centuries ago. Beethoven was actually a rocker and if he was alive in this era, he would get a real kick out of Metal. Mozart as well. They were 'bad boys' back then.
To be sure, there ARE some Metal bands that are satanic. But that can really happen anywhere in the world to any group of people, where there will be evil people among whatever group you can name off. It's a fact of life.
But you don't see the church absolutely VILLIFYING those pastors who are caught embezzling massive amounts of funds or cheating on their wives, do you? Nope. Just everything outside of the church being demonic, as if the people of the church are perfect. We KNOW that's false anyway.
You won't catch the church exposing the Bankers for their evil ways, either. Nope. Not when it can benefit the church for the Bankers to keep doing all that.
So, they pick on Art, they pick on Freedom of Expression. They don't like anything that allows people to be individuals. The church wants dumb, dull-witted sheep, just like every government body. So miss-information is wide-spread.
