A huge thanks to you Fern for providing some interesting tidbits and visual perspectives of Far Eastern University (FEU). I’m a Filipino-American who graduated from high school and attended college in the Philippines. I was a student at FEU from 1978 to 1981 before transferring to a university in the United States where I finished my college degree(s). The one thing unusual with my experience in FEU was my admission process. I submitted my High School Report Card (Form 137) and National Collegiate Entrance Examination (NCEE) result to the admissions office. Then they told me to proceed to the registration office (to enroll for classes) and I’m not required to take FEU entrance exam. Looks like they didn’t want me to get away! Thank you once again for this video! Very informative and an awesome journey to the various academic institutions!

Same thing happened to me and modesty aside I was offered right away one year scholarship. I'm 2 years ahead of you.First place I'm gonna visit given a chance to be back home is my Alma Mater FEU and all the places in Manila that had been a part of my university life😊
Same thing happened to me...i was supposed to inquire only coz as a newly high school graduate..i start to scout around ...after i took the entrance exam in mapua institute of technology ( MIT) then..now Mapua University....i went to FEU..same thing.. they asked me to submit my report card and NCEE results...and they told me to enroll already..no entrance exams needed..so with no problem encountered..i chose FEU....i took up Architecture....and no regrets .though after i enrolled..the following week i passed the entrance exam in mapua institue of technology MIT....and even if i want to take back all my credentials.. the registrar won't allow me and that's it....anyway..FEU .is still on the list of accredited universities here and abroad....i finished my course... work for 4 yrs here...and went overseas.. Malaysia and Singapore..now a retired ofw here in my own country...
@@teresitafernandez6502 Please do visit FEU when you get the chance! I actually went to the campus back in 2014 and was amazed the college students were wearing school uniforms during that time. I think FEU has changed the school attire recently so you can differentiate the college students from the high school pupils. You’re scheduling your “trip to memory lane” at a good time since the students and faculty are heading back to face-to-face classroom sessions!

i attended college at Philippine College of Commerce (lepanto, manila) from 1968 up to 1972, the year i graduated. now, its known as PUP and the campus was also moved to sta.mesa manila.
FEU was established in 1928 as the Institute of Accountancy by Nicanor Reyes. It became the IABF or the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance in 1929 before merging with the Far Eastern College in 1933. This is the reason why FEU celebrates its founding year as 1928.
Hay naku … halos bumalik ako sa college days ko. Nag start ng BsAero Engineering sa Feati U , naging Piloto at nag retire sa ating flag carrier. Napaka ganda ng Part 2 na ito kasi dyaan ako dumataan , sa pang araw- araw na buhay estudyante. Mag lalakad para malibang at maka- kita ng mga kolehyala ng ibat ibang eskwelahan sa University belt. Naghalong lunkot pero masaya ang feelings ko Ka yutubero. Mabuhay ka at keep up the good work. All the best! Good day to you.

Ang laki ng pinagbago ng university belt. Ang linis na ng paligid di tulad dati makalat at maraming vendors. Dyan ako nag college sa FEU from 1980 to 1985 i was a working student pang evening class. One day bisitahin ko yan pag na ligaw ako ng Manila😃 maraming salamat sa mga alaala ng nakaraan 🙏😌🐈
Lalo na ho sa FEU. Major renovation ho lahat ng facilities and interior satin.
Sobrang salamat po syo Idol... Na i tour mo ako sa U belt ang laki ng pagbabago.. it's far from what still in my mind. Gusto ko sana malaman kung buhay pa ang small carindiria dyn sa may Lerma coming from the front gate of FEU..( facing underpass ) Nadaanan mo xa pero hindi na focus ung camera sa right side... sobrang sarap ng porchop dyn at un lang ang tinda nila grill porchop..kaka miss sana pag naka uwi ako maka punta uli ako sa aking mahal na FEU.. more power and more videos of great memorabilia.. PNC is now PNU,PCAT now called TUP, they are still in Ayala BLVD

My Greek Relative was a former owner of Adamson University i think they sold it but not sure. My father attended Adamson. Iyong mga school ko sa Cebu City are also very old. I never went to school in Manila only in Makati iyong school ni Mayor Isko Moreno ang I/AME pero close na siya.
FEU is a merge of Institute of Accounts 1928 (first accounting school in PH) and Far Eastern College 1919 that cater liberal art courses (at present time, this is JRU system). It was originally located in calle san sebastian and achieve its university status year 1933. FEU also considered to be the first university that offers night classes for the working student since most of them are in to business. It all started with 44 student unfortunately no record found because during the World War II Japanese garisson settled in NRH Building and make it as their headquarters they burn all university files. it is also the building where Escoda murdered (the mother of girls scout Ph).
FEU co-founder Dalupan and Fabella are the founder of the University of the East and Jose Rizal College. likewise two of its distinguished alumni are the current president of N.U and U.E.
And also, FEU is one of the first UAAP member school.

Hello, Botong Francisco was an UP alumnus. But number of his masterpiece can be seen sa FEU.
Our buildings was also designed by another national artist. And our auditorium considered to be the first PICC of the Ph. Also, our hymn was composed by a national writter.
We preserve culture and we do care for environment. And I think that symbolize what Nicanor Reyes envission to our school.

Wow you featured my alma mater.. Laking kaibhan talga noong late 70s to early 80s ng Recto at Morayta. Siguro dahil lang sa pandemic kaya wala gasinong tao at less lively ang areas. Miss those days wherein we used to hangout in Laguna eatery along Morayta for cheap and student meals that were really affordable plus the second hand book stores . Ang isa pang tambayan namin ay chef and mugs and also Cartimar cimema and its shops.
Sana you have pictures sir. Wala na ho yung mga yan eh only cartimar yung vissible in our eye now.

A. Mabini Elem. School nasa likod lang ng Cartimar noon. Tapos sa Emilio Agulnaldo High School sa Arlegui St., Quiapo, then University of the East sa Recto Ave. Paborito kong lugar na tambayan yung Ever Emporium at Gotesco, sa likod is pasok ng Matapang St. ( may bakanteng lote at duon kami umiinom after ng klase.

sir from FEATI pagdating mo sa intramuros andun na ung mga schools na PLM Letran, Mapua, Lyceum tapos sa may mehan garden may isa pang school dyan CCM (City College of Manila) kung di ako nagkakamali pero hindi sya old school medyo mga 20 yrs pa lang ata sya (correct if im wrong) unlike sa mga schools sa loob ng intramuros talagang luma na din
sa loob din ng intramuros ang unang bldg. o itinayo ang ADMU limot ko lang kung saan banda kung ung letran ba ung lumang ateneo bldg.
Original na Ateneo defense Manila at same Intramuros din. Nasira Ang building Nile going WW2.

When you go inside FEATI you will be shocked at the rooms and facilities, in fact CHED-Marina is using it as training for Maritime graduates for shipboarding, there is a full scale simulator for ship as if you are inside a real bridge of a ship. There is even a japanese train inside. Very far from what it looks outrside.
