It came out that he paid hush money to an underage girl that was his student. The Globe and Mail tried to break the story before our election a couple years ago, they Libs got an Ontario Judge to put a gag order on the story.
She was estranged from him from that moment forward, but stayed together for the image. Guess her patience ran out. Every Canadian who paid attention knew they were done.

The pressures of his job did not cause the separation, given how little effort Trudeau puts into his work. He has an enormous staff to raise his kids and run his household, and a bottomless taxpayer funded budget for his personal expenses. His smug, mean spirited, bullying personality probably had more to do with it. Maybe like the economy, his marriage will balance itself.

This is a person who is still prosecuting political prisoners (including a guy who threw a piece of pea gravel at him), seized citizen bank accounts, hounded female cabinet members until they quit, did the same to the 2ic of the Canadian Forces, created scandals by the dozen, flies on a private jet to lecture other countries about carbon emissions, and wore racist costumes more times than he can remember.
