As a guy whose been a bedroom DJ for 20 years, Umek is probably in the top 3 producers I've played overall across the years. Just absolute bangers, adjusting with the times, never stagnating. Massive props, saw you at Digital Dreams in Toronto back in 2016 and back then I wasnt a techno dude yet so I didnt realize the privilege of seeing you live - cant wait for next time

Me, coming from the classic techno aera, still interested in techno though, I hear so well all these tracks are composed based on the same (or very similar template). The sets are more boring than they have been like 15-20 years ago. Personal view only.
As someone who loves this modern stuff, I see where youre coming from, but also as a clubber, this shit can keep me dancing for 10 hours in some dark basement afterhour I think techno is a state of mind. Find the variations between artists. Typically when I play modern stuff its a mix of Umek, Enrico Sangiuliano and Spartaque (with other artists peppered in)
