I truly believe that when Serena is playing she is teaching as well because she shows the other players their mistakes and continues to do so....some learn and others don’t those who learn from the mistakes get better but those who don’t well......

That may have been true 20 years ago, when they brought their power game to tennis, which Seles, and Graff, had previously done. But for the last 15yrs., I don’t see other players being intimidated....at all.

after having watched many of SW games where her opponent won her, SERENA is an absolute winner even when she loses. She smiles congratulates is affirmative of the other..amazing how this young girl isnt grateful she had the chance to play againts a GIANT of an athlete...and still do very well...Its only a lesson to get stronger...SW is a GRAND LADY.
Suppose she was disappointed that she didn't win - but she did play very well. Give her some time and she will do well - just needs to learn how to lose graciously.

Giorgi can definitely hit the ball hard...but it goes out most of the time...lol
If she had a coach that could teach her to dial back the aggression just 10%, she'd be a top 10 player. She is an excellent ball-striker, can hit winners from anywhere and has the game to beat anyone. But she can also lose to almost anyone with her errors.
@@pomerlain8924 , I don't think so. I think she NEEDS to hit that hard to be successful. If she dials back, that'll throw pretty much everything else off. One's tennis game is a fragile thing.
Pomerlain89 shes got so much potential man. If she was just a bit more receptive to variance in her game she’d be a force, almost sad to see her just bashing every ball with no plan b.

i see no reason why she should (- or want to) change it.
also, it is important to remember that as hard as Giorgi hits - and she was going for it a lot, in this match - Serena can still hit significantly harder.
