Haze I just want to say how much I have enjoyed your videos a lot lately. You seem to be more relaxed and not spinning around with the camera as bad and I can actually enjoy watching them to the end. I also appreciate you stand on "Leave no trace". Life is to short not to enjoy it through the natural beauty God put before us to enjoy! Thanks Haze!!

Thanks for the vid Haze. I live in Canada and I also leave no trace even though there is plenty of places i could easily set up a camp. I also brought up my kids to respect the land and do the same by cleaning up, not only our garbage but also some that others have left behind.

Sometimes food should be special a bit more complicated!!! A treat like you said and if one loves to cook we do it more than most. I loved your expression on this one. I also love to cook and often I make one special meal on a trip and the rest are easy. Mostly I do it because it makes me happy!!! Love your work, thank you!!!

after 40 years of being a raging alcoholic it amazed me just how different life is without the beer goggles. I had to rediscover myself and those around me, it was quite an eye opener. 7 years dry now and not missing it one bit. I allow myself a couple of pints on Birthdays and high days but apart from that, It just messes with your head. I was amazed how quickly the depression came down by a huge amount too ;o)
I'm also in two minds about the whole permanent camp thing. I'm told by friends that you can hardly go anywhere in the wild these days without stumbling into some sort of structure or other.
So here's my personal conclusion,:- ... IF it's your own woodland, or you have exclusive permissions / rights from the land owner, then fine, crack on. I'd hate to deprive anyone of the great fun we used to have building dens and then adding to them a bit at a time, but like you, I do like the 'leave no trace' thing. So, ... I think that if you're doing it on public land, then take it down at the end of the week, weekend or however long you're there and take it down in such a way that you don't leave a trace and without making that patch of forest look like a bloody tornado's just hit it ;o)
Great vid mate, loved the look of that burger too :) ... love life, love those around yuo and be as kind as you can (y) :o)

I love bushcraft and wild camping and it's great to see that it's increasing in popularity but as guardians of this planet we have to consider others. Leave no trace so others think that they're the only ones who have been or go there. Massive respect to you Hazey for giving up the alcohol. As someone who suffered a heart attack back in June (2021) at the age of 49 I'm (thankfully) living proof that you just cannot be too careful. I eat healthily but I do like a drink or six at the weekends and I think it's probably that which nearly did for me. Keep the videos coming (We love them). All the best. Matt

well done on the not boozing Hazo chap! I have regular breaks from the sauce myself! the whole leave no trace thing is a marvelous plan! it's not a good look leaving empty bear bottles and a burnt out fire, always try and pick up some litter while you are out too! having said that I have a semi-permanent shelter set up in the woods near me, it started when I forgot my tarp one time when I left in a hurry then didn't return for nearly a month and it was still exactly as I left it so I started leaving more bits there. now I have a full bash shelter and gear! there's even a stream with crayfish so could go off grid anytime I like lol! alleyways keep up the good work chap!

You definitely turned me onto IPA's as well as coconut water. The liver is extremely resilient yet desires a break when it can. Highly suggest apple cider vinegar with the mother, dandelions, tumeric, milk thistle. I used to have moderately elevated liver enzymes due to the scotch and now I'm back to normal levels. Moderation is key!

Good call on removing the bench. It’s got nowt do to with me, and you definitely know more about all this than I do, but I think somewhere deep down it was slightly playing on my mine too. So it’s nice to think of that part of the forest being back how it was. And btw, I like the new, less giddy, more peaceful and calm Hazey (someone is obviously a good influence) :-)

Hazey Bushcraft Bar & Grill! I like it. Unless it's in your backyard, you should leave no trace. It makes it easier to get permission to camp on people's property. It only takes one or two rude campers to ruin it for the rest. I like throwing down a few pints but you have to clean out your mind and body once in a while for health and remind yourself that you control it not the other way around. Good job my friend. It takes a bigger man to do what you're doing. NIce smoke effect!

Totally with you Uncle - building a small village in the woods to make camping more comfortable is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Hiya Hazey, You have just made my day!...In Florida on holiday, I check the subscriptions every day, and when yours comes up, its a good day, and thats because i really enjoy everything you do. The serious ones, the mad ones, but I need to point out that you are always watchable and have an amazingly outgoing personality that is infectious, although, i also know that you are an extremely thoughtful and caring individual,
I’m going to save watching you until later on tonight, 1.16 pm here now.
Whatever you do, whenever you manage to do it, is good for me, i would hate you to put yourself under any sort of pressure, just be yourself.

I admire you for your "leave no trace philosophy". I wish everyone felt that way. Nothing wrong with taking a break from the booze but I do enjoy seeing what type of beer you are going to drink. As far as I'm concerned, you dont have to complicate your cooking for your videos. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple. I watch your videos because you keep it real. Thanks for telling about your Esse 3 knife in a previous video. I've been looking for a good knife and had it narrowed down to a few brands. After checking out the Esse brand, I decided to order 2 knives from them. Keep the awesome videos coming. Take care mate.

Great burger, great video. Leaving no trace is an absolute must for wild camping, totally agree. Do you think UA-camrs need to emphasize that they have permission to build more permanent structures or do you think they do and folk aren't listening?

Whenever I go out on a hike , I always carry a small can of petrol with me and set fire to anyone's camps and den's if I should stumble upon them . I too am also a firm believer of leaving no trace . Nice one mate

Well it is defiantly to my pallet, looked dam tasty to be honest. I have been lucky (in a way), I am alcohol intolerant due to a liver problem, so I can only have a couple of cans at a time, which I really enjoy but cannot take anymore. Good advice on the wild swimming, which I have done before but never jump in, even in the high of summer, that water is always dam cold, cheers Alan
