This thoroughly cleansed my soul after that Bella Thorne video.
She’s a famous dermatologist and uses affordable products! 🤯
I have heard dermatologists have the “ABC” rule: Vitamin A (retinoids) Vitamin B (niacinamide) Vitamin C (l-Ascorbic acid). Dermatologists know that fancy products are just to make us feel better. They know skin is not a beauty system, is an organ system. Honestly if you have healthy skin the best thing you can do is cleanse, moisturize and protect (SPF) and that will do the most for you. Exfoliators, drugs and active ingredients (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, AHA’s, tretinoin, adapalene) come in handy when you’re having troubles with your skin, so you can go to the “healthy skin” category.
I almost forgot ! Niacinamide (vit.B3) is something anyone can benefit from.
Bubble Georges omg tell me more. I need so much help with my skin and idk how to start
Marie Antoinette Hello :)! Well, first off I must say that I am in no way a skin expert ; dermatologist nor aesthetician. I am an enthusiast, and I’d be more than happy to share my opinions and the UA-cam channels that I look up to. After years of being so aggressive with my skin I’m think I’m gettin in the right path. What kind of skin issues do you have? Is easy to get lost in the market with so many products lol, it is so overwhelming !
Bubble Georges I’m just a teen trying to figure everything out. I don’t want my skin to age quickly but if I don’t take care of it, it will :(
I think I have combination skin but I’m not sure. The area around my nose and the spot between my eyebrows is pretty oily, my forehead is sometimes very dry and sometimes very oily so idk and my cheeks/face seem to be normal/sometimes dry I guess ? I visited a dermatologist, they gave me some stuff I used for about a month but it’s all done now and I feel my acne starting to come again. My biggest issues are acne and just blackheads tbh. Idk how to take care of my skin or where to start since I’m always afraid of buying the wrong products with bad ingredients and making my skin worse. I feel like overall my skin is very dull, I want it to be super healthy/moist/plump but idk how to take care of it or where to start. Everyone recommends a different skincare routine these days and it’s honestly very overwhelming. Sorry I kept on rambling haha, thank you for taking the time to respond to me though 🥰
Best skincare routine so far. The celebrities are just so fake with it. This feels more genuine.
because she is extensively educated and actually know wtf is going on. lol you can tell with how she describes what she is using and what is happening on a scientific level!
I've never seen anyone using wipes so gently.
@Witch's Brew Sims She used eye makeup remover and washed her face with a cleanser and she is a dermatologist, she knows what she is doing.
I don't use wipes since they will force m/u deep into your pores due to the pressure you apply trying to cleanse your skin. A great choice is Ponds Cold Cream or Lancôme's Creame Douceur, either will melt m/u off including mascara by tissuing it off so there's no need for a eye m/u remover either.
I'd trust Sandra's skincare routine more than anyone 🤣
Riki Matsui same lol beside the wipes, I can’t allow myself to be okay with wipes
HOLY HELL, i was like her skin looks 'ok' for a mid 30 year old, then I googled her and she is 49!! She looks AMAZING
TheRikkuShak I was SHOOK when I found out her age. I thought she was mid 30s
LOL! What do you think a women in her late 40's early 50's is supposed to look like?
She’s so realistic and down to earth yet so famous and rich. She seems like she’s a great mom
“I’m ready to go to bed” but it’s deadass sunny in the background 🤣
If you work hard all morning, I'd be ready to go to bed in the middle of the day aswell!
Actually the way they film there production is, they first film a intro then they have time too practice what too say and stuff like that so they don’t mess up talking. Then I would assume that it’s night time by then
on the other hand, if you live in north europe (northern part of germany, scandinavian countries) the sun is still up until 10.00 pm in winter, some part even longer
i sleep daytime as well if i work over night or go to work early morning and super tired . it is normal, my mom also sleep in day time cause she have night duty ( doctor ).
Pulls out cleaning wipes *internally screams*
But then she lightly uses wipes
*awww that’s better*
Who uses wipes these days? Hasn't she heard of dual cleansing? Oil/balm cleansers? Wipes are so no!
@@jaackasss32 She is double cleansing! Removing makeup and dirt first with wipes and second with liquid soap :)
NIRAY NIRAY that was not a double cleanse. She just dabbed the wipes on her face. I’m sorry, but that doesn’t remove makeup. You must cleanse with a cleanser to remove makeup then rinse, then cleanse again and rinse which cleanses the skin.
I have to use these certain wipes as every other makeup remover gives me cystic breakouts
@@tiffanymichelle3130 she was removes excess makeup with the wipes. The residue was actually evident on the wipes in the video
FINALLY SOMEONE TALKING ABOUT DRY SENSITIVE SKIN!!
I was actually happy when she said she has eczema lol. Because wow, I've suffered enough.
@@lomsomthethwa5537 You need to consult derma asap to make sure what him/her recommend for you or you need help Hyram plls asap message him.
fun fact this woman, since i was about 11-12 years old, is the reason i am now majoring in biology in college to hopefully end up becoming a derm in the end. thx sandra lee🥺
i wish i could keep a syringe around to get rid of all my pimples 😂😂
I love that she uses affordable products! I use that cerave hydrating cleanser and it is amazing
@Wolfgang Arr I use vanicream and it didn't work for me. . It feels like your just using a petroleum jelly on ur skin .. Cerave still better
Mark Ryan I know to dermatologist that recommend that brand as well as Cetaphil in general. I know that’s a very broad generalization, but I still think it’s kind of neat that it’s an affordable product but still very good.
@Wolfgang Arr I'm pertaining about a personal experience .. that's far from being dumb
Wolfgang Arr CeraVe didn’t work for your skin, and Vanicream didn’t work for theirs. Why get so up in arms about it? Calm down. 😂
Please Cerave, don’t rise your prices 🙏🏻😭
Paul Vienneau I heard cetaphil broke out alot of people based on reviews. Cerave seems more natural.
Lukas Beacon I know right!? Cerave is literally one of the best brands when it comes to skincare
Her cheekbones are higher than my will to live 😂😂
@@Draftspike You can use both words let's just say its clear they're noticeable, she's lovely regardless 😊
🙄 when people swear they know more than the dermatologist. Everyone’s skin is different jeez.
As a resident, us dermatologists are not exempt from honest criticism and shouldn't be. The video is great and she says a lot of useful advice, but there's just one big issue I have which is her promoting the use of steroid injections. Most dermatology appointments aren't covered by health insurance, so you have to pay upfront, which is very expensive, even for someone from a middle class socioeconomic background. A cosmetic procedure wouldn't be much different pricewise. But my problem lies in how she promotes it to teenagers. Teens shouldn't feel the need to inject their pimples, just so they can have clear skin on their prom night. It's not a good and healthy mentality, and minors shouldn't have to fret about a pimple on their prom night, a party that's meant for celebration. But that's my only major critique. But yes, dermatologists know skin better than most aestheticians, however that does not mean we're immune to criticism, because as doctors, we learn from our past mistakes and present misgivings.
Right? Her routine would absolutely not work for me, but that’s because I’m actually quite oily. 😭
@@lycanite7886 As a 4th year med student, I feel the need to congratulate you on matching derm! I feel like I'm meeting a celebrity every time I meet anybody who matched derm lol.
(For those not in medicine, derm is extreeeemely competitive and only the top of the top med students with perfect scores and CVs get in)
i love that she’s so successful and uses cerave instead of some bourgeois product!! i use cerave too, cheap and good!
Tina Yael Severinovna M. I thought it was part of L’Oreal? 🤔 The empire bought Cerave a few months ago
that probably explains the change in formula cuz cerave breaks me out now :(
Dr. Dray got me hooked on cerave, before that I was using expensive brands like drunk elephant.
I can't believe she's 49! Her skin is amazing!
Wait whaattttt I thought she was in her late 30s😭 I'm 18 and looks older than her lol
Her cheekbones are EVERYTHiNG! Gorgeous!
* patiently waits for Susan and hyram to react to this new video * Edite : I generally just enjoy watching their reaction And also I never said Susan is better than anyone y’all chill out please, stay safe and far far away from coronavirus and most importantly; black lives matter
Pani Blue who is Susan?? I keep seeing her name in the comments section 🤓
Susan will not react to dermatologists or astheticians skincare routines. She'd never done any.
Acne is a youthful thing 😭 to bad all the acne scars have me looking older
Ik it’s very random but I have the same shirt as ur picture ....yeah I’m done ,bye!
I actually have the same skin condition as her! Super super dry, sensitive and eczema. It feels good to know a dermatologist that you trust have the same skin condition as you. Thank you so much to everyone involved in this video
Thank you Dr Sandra Lee lmao you make me feel good about my hormonal acne😆😆😆
i was scratching my eye aggressively & then u go “i wish i hadnt rubbed my eyes so much” i stopped so quick
すてきoownow hahaha! I can’t stop rubbing my eyes. It relaxes me 🤷🏻♀️
You can tell that Sandra understands her profession because when she explains things it’s really simple and easy to understand
The fact that Susan Yara had the audacity to critique a board certified dermatologist
@@camilagarciamolina9438 the video where she critiques Dr pimple poppers routine
@@riom.6091 I watched her video, I don’t think she criticised this routine other than the usual makeup wipe thing?
Loveddd this! And I love Dr. Sandra Lee! So sweet and knowledgeable!🥰🥰❤️
Since she applied deodorant at night did she insinuate she doesn’t apply it in the morning?
This is the simplest, most affordable routine as of yet (apart from the syringe).
I’ve learned some new information. More dermatologists please!
it works best when applied at night.. no need to apply in the morning then
why not u can, the deodorant already penetrated, just don’t scrub your armpits too much lol
Apparently if you use aluminium anti perspirant its best to put at night and by the time is morning it’s gonna work better
It works better at night because you sweat more at night. So, I put it on at night and a little more in the morning because I live in AZ.
I think you are one of the most compassionate and focused doctors I have seen. The care and attention to detail you give your patients is wonderful. You have a passion for what you do and it makes all the difference.
“At night when your sweat glands are more dormant”
_Sweats through pjs and sheets every night_
Idk why people try to correct DERMATOLOGIST!!! They went to school for this and obviously know what they are talking about! Take advice from them😹 not criticize. Her skin looks sooo good to😻
@@gfaruk272 I saw one comment about how the way she used the makeup wipes didn't actually take off any makeup. But I assume most of the other correcting comments have been drowned out by other comments since I know that often happens.
Literally the best/most informational “good night” skin routine
She looks amazing for her age! For a rich well known dermatologist I can appreciate how affordable and simple her routine is!
Uses Secret deodorant:
“I have a little SECRET to tell you”
Pun intended?
I love her so much - her caring, her kindness, her personality, her authenticity, everything!!!
Love this one... Her routine reminds me of Dr Dray’s... an awesome dermatologist who makes skin care YT videos...
Dr Dray is more simplistic and straight to the point. I don’t like how she’s using an over priced eye makeup remover and makeup wipes. I love Dr Dray!
Love Dr Lee! She's so down to earth, intelligent and beautiful - really drawn to her lovely personality and supreme professionalism. Also loved all the tips she gave us throughout the video!!
This is my favorite video by far. This woman knows what she’s talking about.
What I love about you is that you have all the access to all that fake Hollywood stuff but you keep it simple with your skincare routine and you seem to age gracefully and beautifully.
She tied her hair back.
So many do not.
Frankly fucking FINALLY!!!
Love from Miami ✨💦✌🏼
Literally daytime and blinding sun outside
Dr. Pimple Popper: READY TO GO TO BED!
This was definitely my favorite nighttime routine video so far.
I like that they showed her doing the injections as well as her routine. She’s just so blunt and honest about it, its refreshing.
This was actually really interesting, she’s so informative and actually understands skincare
Yaaass the DHC silky cotton pads!
Didn’t watch the video yet and want susan to react to this 😂
Edit: oh my god guys i don’t mean susan will criticize her..i said “react” to her great skincare routine and tell us that it was okay to use makeup wipes and why..not starting any wars here 🤭
@@ayishafarhana786 That particular person is totally unqualified to critique a Dermatologist. Please use some common sense
I’m so glad I watched this video, u can tell she’s a great dermatologist and her being genuinely nice is a plus👍
The BEST skincare video on this channel so far... this was WAY more genuine, REALLY educational, and demonstrated affordable products.
she is so right about the cleansers! cerave is amazing & a salicylic acid cleanser left on for a bit longer to penetrate is so effective! and moisturizing shortly after cleansing 💜💜💜 yesss transepidermal water loss is important to know as well
I love this! Hearing from a professional dermatologist about the same skin type i have, dry, sensitive skin, is So dope and helpful!!🙌👏👏
You and Dr Dray literally almost have a similar routine! Thank you for for showing as that less is more.
I love that I got to see a video of a PROFESSIONAL with dry skin!
Now I feel like I can take notes!
Finally someone who knows what she’s doing! Although wipes... we need to stop using them if no other reason than an ecological one!
I learned the application of deodorant at night trick last summer and it changed so much for me!! I now don’t use so much deodorant like before and it actually works!!!
she’s so realistic. i’m going to start watching the show. i used to go get cortisone shots from my derm too!
Babyganics healing ointment is my favorite for my dry spots!
CeraVe’s stock is about to go UP! Lol...
They totally deserve it too. Cerave is amazing I just wish they didn’t use plastic packaging
That title is iconic 😂 i think nobody calls her by her name
DR. LEE , the joy and relief you bring to your patients is priceless! Anyway ,, I hope people realize how Blessed they are to have you as their Doctor! AMAZING STUFF!
I thought I was only one who put the CeraVae Healing ointment on my lips, that is so cool know that Dr.Lee does it too.
Yes! More dermatologists PLEASE!!!!!
God I love her. I recently watched her videos and she has such a genuine bedside manner a lot of doctors seem to lack nowadays. She deserves all the success
This was like a dermatologist evaluation session. I loved this!
This was one of my favorite skin care videos y’all have made!! And I love how she uses some products that aren’t crazy expensive and that I’ve heard of! (Cerave, Lancôme etc)
wow, this woman is so beautiful, make up or not. i’m in awe with her skin and her radiance.
Damn that’s smart never thought of it that way! Alternating between SA cleanser and gentle cleanser! It’s all about prevention !
Thank you so much for the last bit of advise!! I think this is the first time I'm hearing something positive about acne
I can relate to her some times I need to put Vaseline on my skin and won’t break out. I put like two or three layers of moisturizer. The upside is I barely get acne. But always dry skin
I could listen to her talking about skincare for hours. The topic itself is very interesting and she has a great way of explaining things.
I just love her! Great tips and she seems so genuine
I want Susan to react but also I would trust a board certified dermatologist more than a skincare lover like Susan
i think it's completely different because dermatologists are not really about the upkeep and overall cosmetic appearance of skin. They focus more on helping you with specific skin-related diseases and/or problems (ex: pimples/cysts/rosacea)Whereas someone like Susan or an esthetician would be more focused on helping you get the most out of your skincare routine and really dive into what your specific type of skin needs and can benefit from. My dermatologists have always just helped with me with my acne or my rashes whereas my estheticians really make my skin look beautiful and as refreshed as possible.
@@teioyoko this is a bit of a misnomer. Just because their principal domain is not usually beautification (although there are cosmetic based fellowships) or making skin super pretty, that does not mean that it isn't included in their extensive training. It's a bit erroneous to suggest that a person who has gone through med school and done dermatology blocks, gone through 4 separate rounds of major examinations, the last of which in this case being focused pretty much exclusively on skin, would not know the factors involved in cosmetic aspects of skincare on a fairly deep level. Especially since the corollary from poor skincare being that which is frequently within her domain of treatment, and so to know the source is often to know the result.
DerpMuffin I'm not saying that a dermatologist isn't aware of what is needed for beautiful skin, i'm just saying that their focus points when they are treating you and recommending products is different. You wouldn't go to a dermatologist for the same reasons you would go to an esthetician in an ideal world.
THIS is the episode I've been waiting for.
I totally had to pause this and do a facial routine! Thanks Sandra!
I enjoyed this, but although she talked about putting on moisturizer, I didn’t see her put it on (or the Retinol she talked about putting on after the moisturizer). Or did I miss it?
Yall don't know how quickly I clicked on this😅
I have chronic eczema, like "really severe 80% of my skin is affected-type eczema" and I thought I'd tried everything but I haven't tried CeraVe Healing Ointment. Thanks for the tip!
Please try Avene Thermal Water spray. I know it sounds silly to be spraying your body with "water", but the water from Avene is so healing, specifically for eczema and other skin conditions. Look at their website and see their live examples of it. It's so crazy. I had extreme eczema on my skin (to the point where it burned to even move my face) and I used it religiously and my skin has never been, looked, or felt healthier. It's amazing!!! And the best part is it's only one ingredient: thermal water from their French springs. So it will NOT irritate you no matter what... because it's water. It has amazing minerals and a great pH which your skin will heal from. Please try xoxoxo
@taimi another good thing i've found is the aquaphor healing ointment. try that if you don't have the CeraVe in your area. I am not sure if appropriate for those with eczema, but it is really good for dry areas. I use a teeny tiny bit of it at the end of my skincare routine to lock everything in. It seems to do the trick, but I think it might be too heavy for those who break out
Finally!! A skincare routine that makes sense! Hope all the other celebs watch this.
I was looking for a new skincare routine and this was on my recommendation and lo and behold Sandra Lee have my EXACT skin type
Would’ve liked to see the moisturizer and retinol she uses
Jarielis Garcia in the video you get a peak that she uses neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer :) it’s on the sink
I could listen to her talk all day
Her skin looks really good. Still look good with or without. Love her and her pimple popping videos.
Favorite one of the series! And I’ve seen em all
I use the same Cereve cleanser, now I somewhat feel like I have my life together lol
Susan’s gonna cry cause this is so beautiful y’all
I literally can watch her talk all day with these all important knowledges that I wish I had known when I was in high school.
Omg when she mentioned being allergic to cats but still having them as one of her biggest regrets, I literally stared at my own kittens like shittt me too girl. Im just gonna pray that my mom's good genes do the same for me as her mom's did for her hahaha
I love Dr. Dray too. I learned from her a lot.
i love how you already use a lot of the brands/products i trust!
Sandra is so natural! Such a lovely person!
Watching her show is my guilty pleasure, even if it does make me squeal while 😂
This is amazing! Love a nighttime skin routine by someone who really knows what they're talking about. My skin is also very dry and I definitely recommend the CeraVe cleanser! Thankyou Sandra for making an information video with affordable products :)
So many genuine Skin Care tips in one video. I love this woman already
