    Thankyou Bas, for clearing up these myths in the church. Jesus Himself clearly defined in John 10:10 that it's the thief (satan) who steals, kills and destroys. Then Jesus clearly states that He came to give us abundant life😍😄😘

    Thank you. Some how I am of the view that we have been misunderstanding the bible...I always wonder how could a moral God permit evil having the willingness and power to end?It must be another answer than we have been given. And so far this is the best the closest to my intuition. God is Good period. But the world of flesh is subject to both good and evil(tree of knowledge of good and evil). And God being good cannot arbitrarily abrogate the laws that govern life and reality. He has to take another route. One subtle, but powerful. He has to save not buy might or power but by his spirit and spirit must find a body and to become flesh the person must accept and cooperate. This is precisely what happened in job. Job fears and self concept made him a candidate for trouble in the flesh-a law of human existence.
    Time and Chance happens to all. But the laws that govern fleshly reality can only be superceded by grasping higher spiritual truths. Job realized in a word, suffering is companion to covetousness and lust. When he rose above those petty human instincts he was made free from the law of sin and death.
    You get the picture.

    @Bas Rijksen, thank you for clarifying some things here. The part I was questioning is when God asked the adversary if he has considered Job, the faithful servant. God was not turning Job over to the adversary to tempt him but rather God was asking him why he was so set against Job or rather 'was he setting his heart against Job because of his unwavering faith in God'. As to why God allowed him to provoke Job with afflictions, from what I understand, Job had fear and therefore when you fear, your lacking in faith and are tyherefore oepning yourself up to being tempted.

    Thank you brother Bas Riijksen! Very good video especially about that fact that in hebrew has another meaning that God doesn't provoke Satan and not quwstioned him "have you consider about my servant Job "-it's only Satan that "set his heart against Job ". Have you any idea why Satan asked God to "stretch out His hand toward Job "? I also notice one good point aganst tradition that God gave permisson satan in God's words " you incited Me against him to destroy him for nothing" . So God reject Satan's plan and if God allowed Satan to afflict Job it would be "destroying him for nothing " .

    Job was a man of Faith. He feared God and belonged to him under the Old covenant. I think you have a lot of passion. But God did make some kind of deal with Satan, he promised the devil to Crush his head and that Satan would bruise his heal. I believe that is why he hurled him down to earth to let him torment and cause pain and suffering to all mankind, including Christians. Christians suffer and Christians all around the World are suffering greatly now. Satan knows that his days are short and the deal with him will soon be over for 1000 years, Satan will be chained for this time and another deal God lets him loose once again to tempt all mankind one last time. (more suffering and pain for mankind) God does allow us to go through hard times. I do still trust God, God has taken some of my loved ones to heaven. Death is not the end to a believer but a Wonderful ushering into his kingdom! The pain of our losses are great but God is my comfort. I know he could have stopped there deaths but his is God we are not. God is greater than the Devil and he is in control Heaven is wonderful and a blessing we have to look forward to! God caused many people to die in both old and new testament. Death of our bodies is not the worst kind of death, only eternal hell.please look at what is going on in the world. There is Great suffering of the body of Christ and innocent children are being abused and killed, MIllions of Christians are being killed for there faith in Jesus and God is still in Control, Allowing it to happen to bring about HIS purposes. ONe day He will wipe away all of our tears, there will be no more death, no more crying, no more sickness , no more pain. but for now we have to live with all of this. As believes Jesus gives us daily strength to endure even in deep suffering and pain. to say God does not Allow bad things in our lives is not true. He is my Lord and I love him, He is God and greater than the enemy, greater than death, but he knows what he is doing and I do trust him to heal us all!

    So does this insinuate that God is not Sovereign over the devil? I beg to differ. God could grease spot satan if he really wanted too or merely speak a word and the devil would vanish from existence. No i believe our small minds just cant see from his perspective. "He worketh all things after the council of his own will".
    "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgement. A God of truth and without iniquity. Just and right is he." Deut 32:4
    He is a consuming fire that operates from a position of holiness. He is also perfect Love and Grace through His Son Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
    Jesus satisfied Gods wrath. "And he will look upon the travail of his soul and be satisfied".
    Also, what about Ananias and Saphira in Acts. I believe they were saved, but experienced Gods temporal judgement for lieing to the Holy Spirit. God took them early.
    Jesus Christ...the same yesterday, today, and forever.
    Love is not just sweet honey. It's also a firm hand of discipline from our loving Father. Even in his judgement, there is mercy and grace. There has to be balance.
    We must concider all of Gods council. I love His grace and am growing in it every day. May the Holy Spirit lead all Gods children into a fuller knowledge of the truth.
    -Grace and Peace

      Darkness is automatically created by the absence of light, calamity also. God cannot mix with darkness because that's impossible, so he withdraws and darkness is formed AUTOMATICALLY

      Shamiso Mutasa you took this out of context. Gen 1:5 “God called the “light” day and the darkness he called “night”.
      You’re trying to use light and dark in terms of good and evil here when this verse simply refers to the creation of day and night. Read the book💀

  • @howardkitchell5549

    Very good Job. I like the way you have the script on the screen. One thing to mention as well before Job said "the Lord gives and the Lord takes away" is that he 1st said "naked came I out of my mothers womb and naked shall I return".... This again (even though it is true that Job said it and it was recorded for us to read) it is not a statement of truth . Also, I believe the point that you mentioned about Job not having a mediator or someone to Judge the matter for Him.
    job 9:33
    Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
    the wod (daysman) means : Yakach (yaw-kahh'); Verb, Strong #: 3198
    to prove, decide, judge, rebuke, reprove, correct, be right
    (Hiphil)
    to decide, judge
    to adjudge, appoint
    to show to be right, prove
    to convince, convict
    to reprove, chide
    to correct, rebuke
    (Hophal) to be chastened
    (Niphal) to reason, reason together
    (Hithp) to argue
    Jesus became our mediator between us and the Father God. Job didn't have that available in his day.... The whole purpose of Job was to show us what it was like to not have an advocate with the Father.... Jesus Christ the Righteous who is the propitiation for our sins 1John 2:
    ANYWAY!!!!! I LOVED THE VIDEO... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! GOD BLESS.

    I must say I'm a bit confused on the subject. I'd like to know what you think of Exodus 4:11:Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?
    And many thanks for uploading a video on this topic :)
    Also you mention that God never gives and take away, but what about people who are in Christ but who actually lose for example their child at a young age, or those who get into tragic accidents, deal with mental illnesses, physical disabilities...
    these thing DO happen.

  • @RubyRobbins88

    So far most of your videos I agree with. I can not get on board with this one. It is clear Job was God's servant as in someone who honored God. There is no way for God to not be allowing Satan to do bad things. This does not mean God did bad things to Job. God is love God is also sovereign and all powerful he can stop Satan at any moment. He chose to let Satan do what what he was going to do. Also, people are not healed all the time and telling them that they are not healed because the don't have enough faith is a legalistic thing to say. I believe that can be the reason sometimes. God's true healing comes in heaven with him and not on earth with our earthly bodies. We all will end up in the ground at some point, but our souls will be eternal and that really is where the true healing is promised to those who know Christ.

    • @paulkmaster3231
      @paulkmaster3231 5 років тому

      Kingdomgirl 3333 I also agree that most of his videos I agree with but this one and physical healing 100% of the time is not the gospel. God didn’t test Job he already knows if someone has faith without works. Romans 4:5
      He allows suffering he did with his own son for us. He allows us to be persecuted it is incense to his nostrils if forget where in the scriptures. He allow painful chastisement even death but our souls are forever sealed and secured.
      1Corinthians 5:5
      Ephesians 4:30
      I love this mans preaching on anti legalistic issues as well as a deeper love and intimacy with Christ by being ourselves and resting in him. But I never heard anyone so far I’m 100% in agreement with. Maybe Renee Roland until she says something I’m not on same page. Anyways God Bless you and Bas Rijksen

      Faith is the only answer. Jesus healed ALL. When the disciples couldn't cast out that demon, Jesus pointed to their lack of faith. It always points back to faith. Jesus never said, "I'm not going to heal this little boy because the Father wants him in heaven." We don't like to hear this because it offends our emotions but it's the reality.

    • @paulkmaster3231
      @paulkmaster3231 5 років тому

      Stephanie Weston I’ve seen many Christians suffer in sickness and not healed and on top of their suffering they have the guilt of a lack of faith. Something is not right with this God heals all the time. Paul was afflicted with whatever it is whether disease or something else three times he asked but God said his grace is sufficient. If I suffer and die isn’t God grace sufficient for me. Gods plan for my life is whatever he has laid before me and will work together for good. Even in suffering and death the believer will be used of God for his glory. If we don’t see it that’s our problem not his. Whatever suffering we endure is nothing compared to what God will give to us when we are truly home with him.
      There is a promise of eternal life. Not a promise of good health and prosperity for that matter. If that were the case why did all Christians die? Not even one had enough faith to be healed and stay healed forever?
      Let me say that I have seen miracles of healing by God but not every time. Jesus healed people without much or any faith as well. The cripple at the pool of Siloam how much faith is there? Not any yet Jesus healed him. Or the pool of Bethesda ? Again I don’t see any faith yet Jesus healed.
      Salvation is a promised guarantee ....healing I don’t see any promise. I don’t see a declaration of healing like the declaration of the gospel for eternal life. That’s like the resurrection has already come?

    • @evangelizarEC
      @evangelizarEC 8 років тому +3

      +Shelly Francis Thanks for sharing the comments brother Shelly. Here are some things
      that stood out as I was going over your comments:
      1) It is so interesting that we always seem to insert an evangelical
      concept (a post resurrection truth) of being saved into the OT
      scriptures... and even further that there is a notion of one being saved
      without being born from above... and in the video that is the point
      that Bas is making: when he's saying Job is not saved would mean Job is
      not born-again
      2) When you go through the OT you will find that the notion of 'being
      saved' is not related to what you point out (a result from fellowship,
      worship, obedience), but rather is only mentioned as related to or in
      the context of 'deliverance from evil or adversaries'!
      3) The only concept that in the OT scriptures is mentioned around what
      you are calling 'being saved' is in regards to a covenant being
      established. Only under that is that fellowship, protection, etc is
      presented as terms in the covenant. Now, the interesting thing is that
      nowhere in Scripture will you have any mention of Job having a covenant
      with God! It's simply not there... but it is quite clear that now post-resurrection
      we have a better covenant established on better promises (Heb 8:6)! If
      we say, well Job was addressed as a 'servant'... well, I guess
      Nebuchadnezzar was 'saved' according to what you mention (Jer 25:9,
      27:6).
      Neither Job, nor Nebuchadnezzar are our models to show us what God is
      like... but instead Jesus, is! So we ought to let Him explain to us the
      Father: Jesus is the radiance of the glory and the exact imprint of the
      nature of God (Heb 1:2a); If God would take human form, what we would
      see is EXACTLY what we've seen in Jesus (John 1:14; 1 Tim 3:16);
      If we would know Jesus, we would know the Father (John 14:7a); From
      when we've seen Jesus, we DO know the Father and HAVE seen him (John
      14:7b); If we have seen Jesus, we have seen the Father (John 14:9); What
      Jesus did it wasn't Him doing it but the Father through Him (John 14:10);
      Jesus didn't do things of His own accord BUT it was the Father doing
      them through Him (John 15:9a); Jesus did ONLY and EXACTLY what the
      Father would have done (John 15:9b).
      If we don't see it in Jesus, and we are attributing to 'god' something
      contrary to what Jesus, said, did, or didn't do... then there is
      something we DON'T understand and need to continue growing into the
      Truth of what He's shown us so clearly! Keep shinning your light.

      +evangelizarEC Thanks for your reply....this discussion will increase our spiritual knowledge,,,here you tell job had no covenant relationship with god,,,,then why god call job as ''my servent''?,,,why god protect job,,job's family?job's property? even satan admits god protects job,,,,at the end of trial why god gives double blessing to job?

    • @evangelizarEC
      @evangelizarEC 8 років тому

      +Shelly Francis Thanks brother. Correct, I do not find a Scripture that specifically states that Job had a Covenant... I do find a covenant established with Noah (Gen 6:18, 9:9); with Abram (Gen 17:2); through Moses (Ex 19:5); with David (2 Sam 23:5); and through the new covenant (Jer 31:31). So to say that 'Job had a covenant and that's why x, y, z' is simply not stated in Scripture. Please, go through the Scriptures I provided and then share with me if I missed the one that pertains to Job.
      And to answer your question, of why Job was called servant, I would have to say it was for the same reason that Nebuchadnezzar was addressed as servant (same Hebrew word). Here is a key thing that we seem to lose: the Scriptures point to Jesus (Luke 24:44-45) not to Job nor ANY OT saint. So we ought to be asking, what is it about the book I'm reading that shows us in shadows what the reality of Christ is for us that live in the New Covenant... I can assure you that with that perspective, many awesome truths begin to arise (escapetoreality.org/category/job/)... such as: God is a good God (because Jesus demonstrated us that) and that what Job had received was simply Him showing His goodness...
      You are blessed in Him!

    I'm sorry, but what you have said still implies God is not omnipotent because you said God couldn't stop him. God could have stopped the Devil, but he always has a divine purpose for suffering. Please read Romans 8:28 and Ephesians 1:11. Don't be loosey goosey with your interpretation of those as well. It means what it states. When it comes to being wrecked by God and still trusting God, Job not only says that, but David did in some of his Psalms (I can't remember all of the citations) and many prophets did like Jeremiah in Lamentation. Were those people, who were saved, have a messed up theology? I don't think so. Please understand that God does whatever he wills.

      God didn’t say that satan moved Him to destroy Job. He did say behold, he is in your hand, because satan was the god of this world and had legal right to kill, steal, and destroy. God is the good One. Although satan had legal right to destroy Job, God wouldn’t let him kill Job.

      The world had become corrupt and evil because men had intermarried with fallen angels and God wanted to clear the corrupted offspring and only Noah and his family had honored God by not intermarrying with the offspring and people borne out of that wicked union. He wanted pure human beings who weren't tainted and could live out His original purpose for the world. You can listen to Pst Joseph Prince's message called Noah-The Real Story

  • @nickapostolopoulos8792
    @nickapostolopoulos8792 5 років тому

    Friend, you’re wrong. Not only does God allow evil to interfere but without God’s permission no devil can afflict you and after all is it not you that afflicts yourself, is that light and darkness not in you? Is it not God who is Jesus, and Christ his wisdom and glory who is in you? Joel references Job. Job knew the truth of God and prophesied it when he said: is his spirit not in me? Is Elihu not Christ when he said he has yet to speak on God’s behalf? In Deuteronomy does God not say; I kill and I make alive, I wound and I heal; and none can deliver out of my hands? In Kings do not the sons of God present themselves before God and a evil spirit says to God that he will put lies in the mouths of the prophets, and God agrees, not only that, but assures this spirit he will succeed? After the flood did God not say that his spirit will not always dwell with man but only for a short time, 120 years? So if the spirit of God was known to man since Noah is it not realistic to say that the Holy Spirit of God was in Job and he knew God and walked in God? For God counted three men righteous in reference to the Old Testament; Abraham, Noah, and Job. And did Paul not say that Abraham was an allegory? Therefore all the stories of the Bible including the New Testament are all allegories. Do not overlook Isaiah: I created evil and formed the darkness. Beloved; God is everything and all there is in the world. There is only God in the world, murder suicide, all the atrocities of mankind that is God killing God. This is why Jesus said Love your neighbor as you love yourself and forgive him who sins against you because we are all God, or God loving God and God killing God or God hating God. The devil is nothing more than doubt, fear, anger, wrath, pride, begrudging, boasting, etc..and anyone (human) that does not believe that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, which means, in you and me and every single one of us to whom the word of God is revealed.

    • @ashitanoame7598
      @ashitanoame7598 4 роки тому

      Good question! Same for 2:3. ;-)
      But wait...no! God never causes hard things to happen; Satan does. While God is watching. Like in Egypt, way back when. Remember how Satan worked plagues against.. well... Or were they God's magicians who tried to imitate things...? Well, never mind. Never God did have Paul write about "him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will", did He? Could those things of Eph. 1:11 somewhat be those same all things as in Rom. 8:28? Kind of like Gen. 50:20 and 45:5-8?
      This video is alll the more surprising since the right answer was there at hand: on screen at 7:25 with Job 42:7 (“as my servant Job hath”), and then at 8:06 with the words of Job attributing the whole thing to... God). But of course, God didn't know as well as we do.
      You see, it's always God's will to heal us. Ring a ding ding. But hush! don't wake Trophimus up. Given his condition, we deemed it preferable not to tell him anything.

      @Fountain of Truth Sounds like you are shaming someone for being sick and not having enough faith. It sounds like you are trying to be encouraging, but I know I would be discouraged hearing that someone thought I didn't know who Jesus was. God uses everything for the good of those who love him. God uses the bad in order to do good. Tod White, who is blessed with the gift of healing, his mother had cancer and the cancer remained even after trying to use his gift with his own mom. One boy he tried to use his gift with died and then the coroner who came to pick up the boy was saved. We all will die on earth, but we will not die eternally if we know Jesus.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to there work."

    God proved that He was above Satan; He created Satan. No matter Satan's plans, God's purpose prevailed. Romans 8:28. God allowed this to happen. God created all. God allowed Job to depend on His grace alone. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Could God's purpose have been to show Job's faithfulness through this? Did Job know why God made him suffer, and yet he still endured? His love endures forever. Psalm 136. Exodus 14:14. Jeremiah 29:14. God allows suffering for you if it is according to His will. Then you are given The Way to prove your faith by depending on Him, and He will reward you. Jesus died on the cross through God's will. I am not proud of my sin, and I don't want to boast except to write in the name of the truth.

    David a man after God's own heart wrote this; "I know, O Lord, that thy judgements are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me." (Psalm 119:75) God is faithful to discipline those he loves. Many times David thanked God for the affliction because it brought him (David) back to God. READ the PSALMS over and over again.
    If the Lord does not punish (afflict) a person it is because they are not his child. A loving Father disciplines his child and God is a loving Father. The most loving Father.
    A man teaching others heresy can lead others further from the truth and cause a lot of damage to one's walk of faith.
    Please do not teach bad doctrine. You are doing more harm than good. A new babe in Christ can and will get really confused. Caused to stumble. That's not a good thing. Because they do not know the word of God yet like they should by years of studying and walking with the Lord.
    Pray for wisdom and understanding. We all need more of it.

      He still is who He is, incl. omnipotent. In His sovereignty He has chose to 'limit' Himself by handing over the government of the earth fully to human beings by commissioning them, blessing them, given them full authority and power over the earth...He wants us to rule under His leadership but because of our free will it's up to us to do what 'we see fit in our own eyes'...understanding this bring you to the conclusion that it's not God who allows good or bad things to happen, but WE allow good or bad to happen....religion has this turned upside down and says God allows good and bad....

      +Bas Rijksen If I have 2 children of which one is a harmless sweet boy and the other is a wicked child, I would ensure that the wicked one doesn't use his "free will" to harm the good child. Being the one responsible for bringing them onto this planet, that would be my moral responsibility. Do you see God lifting his finger to do that ? When Satan was striking Job with disease, losses and miseries, what would you suppose stopped God from saving his child Job from the clutches of the evil one? Was he helpless or was he letting the drama reach a climax before he makes a heroic entry?
