New Delhi, January 19, 2024: In a spectacular display of speed, strategy, and skill, Team India etched their names in sporting history by clinching the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup 2025 title at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on a beautiful Sunday night.. The Men in Blue dominated the final against Nepal with a commanding 54-36 victory, led by outstanding performances from captain Pratik Waikar and tournament standout Ramji Kashyap.
The inaugural Kho Kho World Cup finals witnessed an illustrious gathering of dignitaries, adding prestige to this historic sporting event. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Supreme Court Judge Shri Pankaj Mithal, and Hon'ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju graced the occasion with their presence. Also present were Odisha's Minister of Sports & Youth Services and Higher Education, Shri Suryabanshi Suraj, International Kho Kho Federation President Shri Sudhanshu Mittal and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Joint General Secretary Shri Krishna Gopal ji. Their attendance showed the significance of this milestone event in Kho Kho's journey from a traditional Indian sport to a global phenomenon on its way to being an Olympic Sport.
Attacking first, an exceptional sky dive by Ramji Kashyap got Nepal's Suraj Pujara. Suyash Gargate then touched Bharat Sahu to give India a great start with 10 points in just 4 minutes. Sky dives were the name of the game for the Men in Blue, and this ensured a bright start for the side in Turn 1, preventing the Dream Run for their opponents. At the end of the turn, the scoreline was 26-0 in favor of the Indians - a perfect start for the side.
The team's journey to the championship was nothing short of remarkable. India showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, beginning with convincing victories over Brazil, Peru, and Bhutan in the group stages. Their momentum continued through the knockout rounds, where they outclassed Bangladesh in the quarterfinals before overcoming a strong South African side in the semifinals.

नई दिल्ली, 19 जनवरी, 2024: गति, रणनीति और शानदार दम पर टीम इंडिया ने रविवार की रात इंदिरा गांधी इंडोर स्टेडियम में उद्घाटन खो खो विश्व कप 2025 का खिताब जीतकर इस खेल के इतिहास में अपना नाम दर्ज करा लिया। कप्तान प्रतीक वाइकर और टूर्नामेंट के स्टार खिलाड़ी रामजी कश्यप के शानदार प्रदर्शन की बदौलत भारतीय पुरुष टीम ने नेपाल के खिलाफ फाइनल में 54-36 से जीत दर्ज की।
इससे पहले भारत की महिला टीम ने एक और बेहतरीन फाइनल में नेपाल पर दबदबा बनाते हुए 78-40 के शानदार स्कोर के साथ अपनी जीत पक्की की और चैंपियन का ताज पहना।

भारत के लिए पहले अटैक करते हुए, रामजी कश्यप ने एक असाधारण स्काई डाइव के साथ नेपाल के सूरज पुजारा को आउट कर दिया। इसके बाद सुयश गरगेट ने भरत साहू को पछाड़कर भारत को केवल 4 मिनट में 10 अंकों के साथ शानदार शुरुआत दिलाई। स्काई डाइव ही मेन इन ब्लू के लिए खेल का नाम था, और इसने टर्न 1 में टीम के लिए एक शानदार शुरुआत सुनिश्चित की, जिससे उनके विरोधियों को ड्रीम रन से रोका जा सका। टर्न के अंत में, स्कोरलाइन भारतीयों के पक्ष में 26-0 थी और यह टीम के लिए एक बेहतरीन शुरुआत थी।
