Nice fishing Dave. The rod looks great too and the reel certainly sounds smooth. Be nice if I could get a similar set up. Managing to get a few Atlantic mackerel and wrasse here on the jigs but not much else. Hopefully the changing season will bring in fish that are more prone to taking the jigs I'm offering aye.
I am that bud. Just waiting on delivery of some assist hooks and cord plus some kabura lures. I'm hoping to get amongst the cod this winter here on the calm days. Thanks for watching too. 👌
What an epic setup i bet i would struggle to spj with a spin rod & reel setup but you make it look easy! That snap was massive too, took some huge runs. Looking forward to seeing the part 2 when you show us what happened with the jetski 😬😬😬
Thanks mate! Let me know how you go with SPJ. In 20-30m its not super restrictive on weight, it all depends on what weight is needed to get to the bottom and hold vertical for the jigging motion, drift speed and current comes into play too. I use a range between 30g-90g in that depth depending on condition
😀Thank you for watching the video
😱Here is Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/FHhW6UOWWC4/v-deo.html

Awesome content Davo 👌 keen to get into SPJ!
Quick question, if your fishing in around 20-30m of water whats the Max jig weight you would use?

@@FishoDavo awesome Davo, thx for the tips I'll give it crack! I'll report if any success!
How much is the rod and reel?
$499 rod, reel around $700 I think
I bet you were clenched on the way back 😂
🤣🤣🤣
that rod and reel cost more than my first 12 foot tinny and 25hp jonny....
It's inflation
