Let's be realistic - only real simracers use a real wheel from a real car. If you don't use a real wheel from a real car, are you really simracing at all? That's just the reality of the situation, be real.
It's really wonderful to read about all the envious people in the world. Basically everyone wants this wheel, no one has to tell me. The price is too expensive??? Seriously then buy the Porsche Gt3 Cup 992 Wheel for over 7,000 euros. Best regards from an owner of this steering wheel, which has been in use for a very long time without a wear indicator :-) Great Video Thanks .
I get the novelty but the price is definitively too high to just say "I could use this on a real GT4" without all of the features similar-priced wheels have PS: nice shirt 👀
The price is too high for what you get as a simracer. However if you're a passionate (and wealthy) collector, I could imagine this is a must-buy because it's basically a piece of simracing history with it being the first and so far only homologated racecar wheel that can be bought and used by a simracing hobbyist. Kudos to Fanatec and BMW for making it happen. However there's no way in hell I'd dish out this kinda cash when I could buy a a Moza R16 plus GS Wheel for less than that.
I'm sick of waiting for the QR2, and by the time it's released its going to be grossly overpriced and yesterdays news. Simlab, and VRS have quietly made QR2 like quick releases, and priced them in line with the QR1. Fanatec couldnt have picked a better way to screw up all the hype they generated wirh the QR2 announcement.
@@FunkySkeet yeah same i dont see the point aswell. I have a DD1 and using 13-16 nm with almost no flex. I have 6 Fanatec wheels so it will cost me alot 🤔 The only good thing I can see is that its a quicker thing to swap wheels and maybe it will give more power so they can make a screen in the wheels. But that will cost asmuch ad a gsi 😀
Just too bad Fanatec, on release of the missing part to this wheel QR2, us BMW M4 Wheel owners have been forgotten for new revenue over old, we must wait it seems for new sales, to get the product before us loyal customers who have paid for the QR2 more than a year ago.
Nice wheel no doubt but I prefer the total opposite, round and as light as possible with the superior, wobble free QR1 Lite. Tbh I find that the €550 Porsr wheel by Fanatec deadens the feel of the CSL DD 8Nm wheel base, but I don't expect the BMW wheel will be used by many CSL DD users. Forged carbon looks gorgeous tho'. Make a nice studio decoration for your backdrop.
Hi, i use this wheel with the CSL DD 8nm and it works really great! There is a tiny little bit of dampening because of the weight. But you can still feel all the details you need to feel.
It's literally a real racing wheel! You just a hater. No one else in sim racing can say they have a real life racing wheel in their sim except this one.
i really want a Moza R12 but dont wan to be restricted because its such a new company but that seems like the wheelbase I want. so im handcuffed right now
This wheel is the biggest gimmick in the history of gimmicks. I can think of no more useless feature to overpay for than to be able to use the wheel in a car that less than 1% of people who buy it will ever get close to.
the whole sim racing wheel business is a gimmick. But if you can afford one then why not? similar to saying that a lambo is a gimmick and you could just drive a Citroen saxo. Both get you from A to B right?
this is a real wheel from a real car (TM). feel the realism by subscribing to the channel
Love it! 😂👏

bro, be real bro
All the people with the 3d printed adapters on their g29s
The wheel is cool in concept but I could buy two simagic fx pro wheels and have some money left over for the cost of this.
But can you use the fx pro wheels in a real bmw gt3 and gt4 race car???
@@farquaf.4417 😂😂😂 IKR my racecar is sitting in my driveway without a steering wheel, how ever will I drive it🤦🏾♂️🤷♂️
They should have made a wheel around 800-1k. 1,5k for a Fanatec feels pretty pointless :/
Do the rotary dials and thumb dials work in GT7?
havent tried it in GT7
The right rotary controls brake bias or fuel mapping if the car supports. Can't be mapped, annoyingly.

I’ll buy two and the ability to Chuck it on ( but actually not) my gt3 car parked outside is super handy .

i mean yea thats the point of it, it's a real racing car wheel so the price is based on that, not any kind of functionality

They are so slow with everything, Nothing new and its the biggest company. Idk what they are doing :/
You know this includes QR2? They'll send it out when it's available.
@@FunkySkeet yes but its been like this for year
@@KuSQ3N yeah, and that sucks. Personally, I don’t see it as that big a deal but I know lots of people do.

Way overpriced compared to brands like cube controls and gsi. Guess the people locked into their ecosystem have no other options

QR1.......it's an inferior rim.
Belíssimo vídeo parabéns!
So does the car use a different quick release?
Yes
the actual car uses the QR2
How comfortable is your noblechairs?
Confortable. No pain using it. No numbness.
@@randomcallsign great! Thank you! I've been thinking of getting the same one you're using.
Adding one thing. The seat is a bit harder than normal. It'll take a week to get softer.
@@randomcallsign Great! Thanks for the information! Your channel has also been a great help for me starting my sim racing journey!
Is this wheel compatable with other wheelbases besides fanatec? let me know!
No
do any fanatec wheels work on non fanatec wheelbases?
i really want a Moza R12 but dont wan to be restricted because its such a new company but that seems like the wheelbase I want. so im handcuffed right now
You'll have to convert them. Might as well go to something else.
Ah dang. Ok I’ll have to research again. What are your personal top 3 DD systems. I guess I’m gonna have to pay more but that is fine.
I could buy one but I don’t wanna
Can the buttons "face" and labels be modified/customized?
Yes, it comes with a small pack of replaceable button caps with a variety of abbreviations and some blank ones.
The wheel better be made from pure gold if it wants to replace my t300
It can not replace your T300.....because it is just a rim. lol
@@labpong7562 I meant with an entirely new setup + the rim
Imagine if your real car was as unreliable as Fanatec. Oh, it's branded BMW? I see.
Powered by a n55 :)

Either click bait title or paid review
The title is Fanatec BMW M4 GT3 Review
It’s a sim wheel that costs 1500 euros… video is doing exactly as it says on the tin at this point. 🤷🏻♂️
@@randomcallsign How dare you title the video exactly what this video is about.....
