THE ROSARY AND THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL PRAYER CONNECTION - Oct 13, 2012 I wish to share an observation I made years ago while reciting the rosary during a First Friday evening devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. For some reason I was prompted to count the number of letters in the Miraculous Medal Prayer. At first I used the digits on my hands and came up with two different answers. Something told me to use the Rosary beads instead. The result was that there are 54 letters--the same as the number of beads in the main body of the Rosary, fifty Hail Marys and four Our Fathers. A few years ago at Easter, I was thinking about the apparition and realized that the Blessed Virgin was most likely speaking to Saint Catherine in French. I looked up the inscription in French, and it also contains 54 letters. Since then, when I finish each decade, I recite the Miraculous Medal Prayer along with the others. THE ROSARY AND THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL PRAYER ENGLISH-- "O MARY CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN PRAY FOR US WHO HAVE RECOURSE TO THEE" FRENCH-- "O MARIE CONCUE SANS PECHE PRIEZ POUR NOUS QUI AVONS RECOURS A VOUS" 54 letters in the Miraculous Medal Prayer in both languages. Exactly the number of beads in the main body of the Rosary--4 Our Fathers and 50 Hail Marys. I sent this to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal and received this reply. Thank you Laddie. is our faith the only one that allows us to question our faith openly by stating it in the bible? Others say they don't question it, but even we continue to question GOD, we even get angry and tell him to show us who he is. God does show us who he is. He clears the paths and takes care of us each and every moment. Even when we question him he always answers, sometimes the answers are not to our liking. But his plans for us are much bigger much greater and much more beautiful. Right now i'm going through a lot of confusion about my life and my future but i don't know why i'm not anxious, mad, or victimizing myself like other times i had been. I'm at peace and trusting. I am wearing the miraculous medal and its a reminder to me to ASK Mary for blessings, to ASK God for answers, that asking is the one sure way to get an answer. I am proud to be a daughter to God and a sister to humanity and that HE will direct my path to a life where i will be of great service and love, HE will supply me with each and everything i need and even that for which I want. I can be certain of my faith because even Jesus gives an answer to those who do not believe in him. That's how great my God is, that's how much love he has for everyone beyond our belief's. I once read that "FAITH Refers to a matter not of the head but the heart. It implies an orientation of Trust and love-for-no-reason. Just because" in a book about living without a religion. Isnt this how Jesus taught us "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" regardless of who they are we must learn to love Jesus also said "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind" I want to learn more about Jesus and the bible who to me is such a beautiful book.
