Secondly as I said, although that may be true for the current time do you really think they will just stop producing more cocoa? Especially if it becomes more highly profitable due to higher demand.
And this is something called supply and demand, therefore when the supply runs low and the demand is high the price will be much higher meaning less people will be able to afford it, meaning in the short term chocolate is still available but at higher prices.
Secondly I can almost guarantee if there were shortages the crops would be genetically modified to be grown in different conditions therefore allowing more to be grown.
