I am a 78 year old retired vocal teacher, musician, singer/songwriter, and performer. Discovering Dimash a couple years ago resurrected my old musical Spirit. His life story has been amazing from child prodigy to pop & opera master at 26. When you combine his breathtaking vocal skills & performance skills with his honest humility, kindness, and dedication to his art & craft, it becomes like a miracle of art, love, and, the beauty of human potential. I'm sure you've learned by now that he is both unbelievably gifted as well as very highly trained. Dimash can do anything you wish to hear, from Opera, pop, raps, Jazz and many more. He is the only singer I've known that can arrange same song in many different styles. This is a birthday bash for Igor Krutoy who is the pianist. Igor is a great composer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash & his 6+ octaves. Igor is famous throughout Russia and the world. He wrote this composition specifically for Dimash. (I can't imagine anyone else being able to sing it!) They have collaborated on many songs with spectacular results. Dimash sang many songs at this event along with Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, and Aida Garifullina. Dimash sang a duet with Aida and also a song with both Aida & Lara at this event. He can use all capability of his voice.. from Kazakh folk songs to opera, pop songs, rock, rap.. he is quite different from other vocalists. So he deserves all attention and popularity.. hitting high notes is his signature.. some vocal coaches say this is show-off. If the others can do this.. do show off and we applause them..
There are several different venues and performances of this song. My favorite is from Dimash’s concert, but this one from Igor Krutoy’s 65th Birthday special is very dramatic as well. This is wonderful with its performance arts. In reference to your comment about dimash singing in the style of early opera singer, also note Dimash matches his voice to the venue, size of the Bldg and the occasion. This was written for him for the European Olympic Games where he sang at the opening before an audience of 100,000 people. He also sang it at the closing. Each time it sounds different. He sings different each time. You need to watch the one at the Olympics for the staging and the production. It was a rave light show with dancers a full orchestra, kettle drums and percussion. You just have to see it because Dimash is different. This production is ok, but it looks like a nice party compared to the other one. Nothing wrong with this reaction, you’re great, but check that one on you’re own.

I agree that if you liked OLIMPICO, you should check out WAR & PEACE. But also listen to Aida, Lara, and Dimash sing TI AMO COSI together at this same 65th bash, fantastic! By the way, did you notice that the platform Dimash was standing on in this video started at a high elevation and slowly lowered to the floor level as he sang? I have a theatrical background and advanced degree, so I notice staging, and I loved that. Dimash standing at that height at the song's opening adds to the whole grandiose effect. At some other venues where he sung this song, he was elevated as well.
This concert, which I believe was in January this year. was to honor Igor Krutoy, the famous Piano player / composer. Even Andrea Bocelli sang a few songs at this concert, but Dimash was the Headliner.
This was a concert given in honor of Igor Krutoy (the pianist); for his 65th anniversary. He is the man who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash; this is the first one he wrote for Him. Dimash had 5 songs in this concert; the other 4 are; “Know”, “Ti Amo Cosi” (a trio with 2 huge singers, Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian), Passione, and Ulysses, a duet with Aida Garifullina. Dimash has had Lara Fabian as one of his idols since he was a small boy; Igor made it happen that they would sing together, so “Ti Amo Cosi” is a. very touching song besides being beautiful. During this concert, Andrea Bocelli also sang; so it gives you an idea of the level to which Dimash has risen. There is a quick clip of Bocelli and Dimash singing for fun before Dimash goes in scene. It is an epic song written by the bald man at the grand piano, Igor Krutoy (legendary Russian composer), epic operatic performance by Dimash (Dimash received an offer to join The Kazakhstan National Opera 4 years ago), in an epic setting.
Surely I am being repetitious, but Dimash was trained in opera and offered a spot in the national company. The pianist is Igor Krugoy, a well known Russian composer who has come out of retirement to collaborate.

I wouldn't react to any selection done with ice skaters that's also performed without them. I haven't read one commenter who misses the skaters if they're not on stage with him. It's like putting Dimash in a circus ring because the animals "add another dimension." LOL. Your "planes and banners" comment is actually congruent with the song's original staging and purpose (see below). Skaters distract from the full power of Dimash's presence, especially with Olympico. The fan cam version, or the official European Games opening video, with the choir on the revolving stage, were the superior productions. Try to read the lyrics before reacting. This was composed specifically for Dimash, to open the European Games. This song exhorts the athletes that they're strong! They can do it! The very earth supports them! The vastness of the rink detracts from the focus on Dimash delivering this message to these athletes in their prime. View either version to see something amazing: emotional intensity beams outward from his face. His mother says that sometimes he transforms so much on stage that she doesn't recognize him. How can twirling skaters enhance Dimash's spectacular staging? Was Igor paying back a favor to one of his entertainment business associates? Reaching out to a new audience? He can use all capability of his voice.. from Kazakh folk songs to opera, pop songs, rock, rap.. he is quite different from other vocalists. So he deserves all attention and popularity.. hitting high notes is his signature.. some vocal coaches say this is show-off. If the others can do this.. do show off and we applause them..

Dimash is basically singing the baritone, tenor and soprano parts of this song.
This is wonderful with its performance arts. In reference to your comment about dimash singing in the style of early opera singer, also note Dimash matches his voice to the venue, size of the Bldg and the occasion. This was written for him for the European Olympic Games where he sang at the opening before an audience of 100,000 people. He also sang it at the closing. Each time it sounds different. He sings different each time. You need to watch the one at the Olympics for the staging and the production. It was a rave light show with dancers a full orchestra, kettle drums and percussion. You just have to see it because Dimash is different. This production is ok, but it looks like a nice party compared to the other one. Nothing wrong with this reaction, you’re great, but check that one on you’re own.

I agree that if you liked OLIMPICO, you should check out WAR & PEACE. But also listen to Aida, Lara, and Dimash sing TI AMO COSI together at this same 65th bash, fantastic! By the way, did you notice that the platform Dimash was standing on in this video started at a high elevation and slowly lowered to the floor level as he sang? I have a theatrical background and advanced degree, so I notice staging, and I loved that. Dimash standing at that height at the song's opening adds to the whole grandiose effect. At some other venues where he sung this song, he was elevated as well.
This concert, which I believe was in January this year. was to honor Igor Krutoy, the famous Piano player / composer. Even Andrea Bocelli sang a few songs at this concert, but Dimash was the Headliner.
This was a concert given in honor of Igor Krutoy (the pianist); for his 65th anniversary. He is the man who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash; this is the first one he wrote for Him. Dimash had 5 songs in this concert; the other 4 are; “Know”, “Ti Amo Cosi” (a trio with 2 huge singers, Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian), Passione, and Ulysses, a duet with Aida Garifullina. Dimash has had Lara Fabian as one of his idols since he was a small boy; Igor made it happen that they would sing together, so “Ti Amo Cosi” is a. very touching song besides being beautiful. During this concert, Andrea Bocelli also sang; so it gives you an idea of the level to which Dimash has risen. There is a quick clip of Bocelli and Dimash singing for fun before Dimash goes in scene. The lyrics are very powerful and motivating! The pianist, Maestro Igor Krutoy, is the composer. If you see Igor on piano, he composed the song! 💞

It is an epic song written by the bald man at the grand piano, Igor Krutoy (legendary Russian composer), epic operatic performance by Dimash (Dimash received an offer to join The Kazakhstan National Opera 4 years ago), in an epic setting.
Surely I am being repetitious, but Dimash was trained in opera and offered a spot in the national company. The pianist is Igor Krugoy, a well known Russian composer who has come out of retirement to collaborate.

I wouldn't react to any selection done with ice skaters that's also performed without them. I haven't read one commenter who misses the skaters if they're not on stage with him. It's like putting Dimash in a circus ring because the animals "add another dimension." LOL.
Your "planes and banners" comment is actually congruent with the song's original staging and purpose (see below).
Skaters distract from the full power of Dimash's presence, especially with Olympico. The fan cam version, or the official European Games opening video, with the choir on the revolving stage, were the superior productions.
Try to read the lyrics before reacting. This was composed specifically for Dimash, to open the European Games. This song exhorts the athletes that they're strong! They can do it! The very earth supports them! The vastness of the rink detracts from the focus on Dimash delivering this message to these athletes in their prime.
View either version to see something amazing: emotional intensity beams outward from his face. His mother says that sometimes he transforms so much on stage that she doesn't recognize him.
How can twirling skaters enhance Dimash's spectacular staging? Was Igor paying back a favor to one of his entertainment business associates? Reaching out to a new audience? Maybe singers performing in rinks is a Russian thing.
