Clear panels to let in light? We used them 30 years ago.
Good morning Al ,you said you were going to get an air compressor for your shop. I bought an ultra quiet Fortress air compressor a few months back and it really is quiet. My previous air compressor was so loud I didn't want to be in the garage when it was running this one you can stand in front of it and talk with someone. Mine is 26 gallon 175 psi vertical. They have larger and smaller.
Good morning, Al and Gina! Gina, I am grateful God has restored your health. You look so healthy and happy. Prayers for your continued healing and for yours and Al’s progress as you build your new homestead. God is good.
Good morning! The roof progress looks great. Ken and his crew work hard, at getting done smart!
Goooood morning Lumnah family and friends!😊🌄 Time for a fresh cup of coffee and watch the progress on the workshop. Everyone have an awesome day🥰
🤩🐶👍🏾
Morning Forrest ☺️🌞
Gooooood Morning Forrest. Enjoy that cup of coffee. I know I’m enjoying mine ☕️
Good morning Gump my friend

@@CCRider5312 Hi CC!😊
Goooood morning Lumnahs and friends, from David in Omaha, NE, USA. As Neil Diamond's song says, we are having some "hot August nights" with hot temps, day & nights. I dislike high humidity! Al, send me some of your cool night temps! lol I'm jealous! ha Everyone be blessed and I hope y'all are enjoying some good health! Cheers!

Gooooood Morning David. It’s starting to feel like fall here. It’s too early for that
Goooood morning and God bless David!😊🌄
Good morning 👍🛐
That is awesome. It’s nice to see that you’re moving right along. I bet you you guys will be so glad when you’re all over with the building. Awesome work.😊
Good morning Al Gina Olivia and everyone around the world!
Gooooood Morning Perry
Good morning Perry!😊🌄
I have been in -40. Going outside and working in that cold is last thing you want to do - walking to another building or a warm vehicle is hard enough. Starting a car or truck in that weather is a chore, especially if you have to clear snow first. So structures to cover you up in the winter where you live is job one.
G’day 😊 good to see the roof going on now. You guys are flying with the progress! 👍
We can’t wait till it’s all dried in!
G'day Agnes - they're getting there! Then it's on to the next project! Time for The Lumnahs to take some vacation!
@@samvalentine3206 G’day Sam 😊 yes time for them to go camping!
@@agnestakacs2059 - I know just the spot! (smile!)
The whole job is really coming together. Amazes me that the oldest guy on the job runs over the structure like a young kid. Stay safe up there Ken.
That’s all that amazing coffee they are giving him 🤣
I still remember when we had to nail all that by hand. Made for a very long day! Baby sitting a concrete pad way into the night to make sure it set up properly. Im glad those days are gone. Looks good guys! You should be very proud of yourselves.
Good Day Ginia,Al 🌞🌅Wow thats a really Big Building! Youll make Good use of all that Space 👍👌🤞✌️🙏🙌🇺🇸🌟✨🌄
Good morning, Lumnah Acres friends and family! That roof is coming right along. This whole build just went up so fast.
Gooooood Morning. It’s always a good time working wit Ken and his guys
Good morning nightengale10🤩😊
Good morning! Weather has been in the 70s this week. Loving it! Shop is coming along nicely. The red door definitely gives the shop a nice little pop of color!
Good morning Lumnah family and friends no messing that roof looks like it’s going on today gore sure, loving the progress .👍🏴
Gooooood Morning Al, Gina and Olivia! That shop is moving along and looking so good! Love those drone shots of a perfectly straight grid pattern of lumber on the roof! Great job! Can't wait to see all of the projects completed there!
So near, yet so far, the rain was as always a pain for interrupting play. Still, you were able to salvage something from the day, and build forward to a good start the next time the crew ventures out.
WOW Great JOB Guy's!!! It was so exciting to see the ridge cap being installed and almost done with that roof now enclosing the end gables will finish it all up. Of course those end gable panels have a ton of measuring for sure but you all are pro's at this for sure LOL. Love the color scheme it is awesome!!! God Bless you ALL.
Entire building is made with no local materials!
Couple of scoops with the backhoe will make that trickling little Brook into a nice little goldfish pond
They will freeze in winter, fish-sicles 🤣🤣
Workshop progress is amazing! Looking great!! Take care & stay safe.
Good morning Al and Gina, great job 9n the work shop, have a nice day. Have to say that roof install was scary. ❤❤
Yea the trusses were a little exciting. 😆
I sure do love ❤ that red door!😊
I liked the very short video from the drone. Beautiful but brief. I would like to see drone shots for all the area like a plan from above, to show all the buildings and how they're displayed..
There are no clear sheets, let the light in save on power, (there are E vents) for your gable lets the hot air out.
The roof & walls will all be spray foamed.
Beautiful job guys. This building will serve for a long time. We love watching the step by step progress on the whole property, and the lady's cooking tips are not wasted on me. Always looks delicious. Blessings to all and thanks, Ken and crew.
WOW you guys are killing it. That shop looks so clean in the tin. Nice colour choices
Thank you JESUS! That rainbow just brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad that roof is almost done. I prefer seeing you working on the ground! May God shine his light and love on all y'all!
Love the red door! Just a pop of color!
Perhaps add some poly carbonate clear sheets to the ends. Its nice to have some natural light
They are spray foaming the roof & walls.
I stay on the edge of my seat watching you all up on that high roof!! I can see why Gina doesn't like to watch!
Looking fantastic as always! Love the look, and the way its coming together! 😂😅 Love ya'll ❤
You and Ken’s team work so well and fast together!! Very efficient!! Roof looks great!! Can’t wait until next video 😁
You don't need 40 guys when you properly train a crew that works together. Everyone has a chore to do and doesn't need a babysitter to make sure it's done right
If you leave the door red you can tell if the door is open from the house.
That's good thinking! I like that idea. Have a great day!
Al, if you plan on getting more Cows🐂🐄 and some sheep🐏🐑 later on , you need to build them a nice insulated Barn for them to get out of the cold winter weather and stay dry and comfortable ! It wouldn't need to have a ceiling height of no more than 6-to 7 feet and you also need a structure to place all of your firewood for the outside boiler and your lumber supplies storage in for future projects.
I've lost count on what day this is. But it's amazing seeing what kind of progress 4 professionals can make on a building. You're flying through this.
Hmmmm loooooooking good...ever thi k of a small roof over doors ? Just to keep water and snow off tops
GM Family, very hot and humid today and tomorrow here in Wisconsin. God bless stay safe and well.
The Workshop is looking great, Al and Gina. The early walls and roof really give a sense of the finished building. I know there are a lot of extra interior and exterior details to add. Insulation, interior walls, etcetera. It’s still looking good at this point. I look forward to seeing it more complete, going into the first winter.
Working on a metal roof in the rain is the fastest way to end up on the ground. A young guy might bounce and get slightly injured, an older guy will get severely injured.
The building is coming long nicely. Too bad that the weather doesn't want to cooperate.
Stay safe up there, it's 12 feet to the ground.
They have the framing to work from if you're smart, but yeah, never get on a wet metal roof 🙂👍
@@colstace2560 My crew was trying to finish a job in a mist. My buddy started sliding in slow motion...16' fall. He grabbed his hammer and put the claws through the steel. I have never forgotten that potential life-saving measure.
Looking GOOD❤🙂
It looks good.
Are you gonna Spray Foam the inside Roof And Walls?, There must have been an easier way of getting those sheets up there. Coming together.
That was gravy. Grab the sheet and run to the top.
Looking at the quality of the build i would think Ken will never be short of work.
I realize it is a little late, but, as for pre-drilling the roof panels, you should have been able to pre-drill at least all of the top holes.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looks really good
Loved it.
The red door has to stay. I think it looks great.
Looking forward to seeing it done was wondering why you didn’t have the water line put in
Lumnah, please show us a sketch of your plans for the interior.
I'm impressed! Your building the shop without a generator or on grid power😊
Everything is looking awesome indeed. Keep up the great work.
Loved the 7 second rainbow clip. Great shot!
Once you get the barn done, what you already do is get you a small dump truck even if it's an older model and fix it up
Good morning from the hot and steamy mountains of East Tennessee! That roof is looking good!
-40 is the convergent point so C and F are the same at that temperature
Glad to see the build coming along so great . Can’t believe that you don’t have to wear a fall arrest harnesses in the lift or on the roof . Here in Ontario the workplace safety inspector would have visited the job site by now and all work would have been halted until everyone that is working above 5 ft. has to have a harness on . Ken would have been fined big time .
Last week in Quebec a scissor lift tipped over and 4 workers were killed . You never know when the boom could shift and you be thrown out of the bucket . Or the fellow on the roof could slip and fall to the ground .
No inspections where they are.
Good morning Lumnah family 💜
Liking the shop
This is your best filmed episode. Congrats to the videographer.
good luck
What a beutiful building, nice work
Hi Lumnah Acres from Adelaide in South Australia enjoy watch your show even I have to stay ip to watch them you are doing a wonderful job getting everything as you want it I hope I leave you all in good health love your sshow
Is the project going to be a green house or a root cellar?
Wtg all of you & Gina your filming is awesome 😊
Looks really good! Thank you for sharing!
Looking good! It’s going to be huge!
Love the background music! Gooooood morning from California!
Good morning from Flower Mound, Texas. Where it is a toasty 83 degree at 5:30a.m.
Paint the door the same color as your house,
Awesome video brother stay strong and God bless ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The roof looks great!!
Hi is the second building a barn for the cow? I've been wondering if they'll be able to get into the indoor area of the portable barn. Maybe they can if Al converts the goat door to a cow door.
If it's not that then idk and will have to wait to be told.❤
I'd love to see another build of the barn they bought on the internet and erected on their old property, I loved that series.
Another stupid lumnah secret build, it's just done to make you keep watching
@@colstace2560 Ken mentioned on his channel a couple months ago that he had 2 builds coming up with another UA-camr, the one that they are currently working on and one he estimated would start in September. So if the 2nd build is the barn, it has been planned for some time and not a sudden change.
Very nice looking building.
Good Morning! Too cold some winter nights to use propane tanks above ground. At -43 F, it has no gas pressure!
Gooooood Morning Guy
Howdy Guy!
Like your music
😊😊
Looking so good
Where's the safety gear / harnesses ?
Don't worry, Al has his ear plugs in, that'll save him 🤣🤣
😷@@colstace2560
I would love to just watch all the guys working for a few days.
Tell me.. why didn't you move the tractor with the roofing closer to the building saving all the walking?
Great job and worth it😂😂
You have to be careful not to run power lines to far from the Source to the destination or you'll end up with line loss ( voltage ). It doesn't take to much line loss for your equipment not to work properly. HAPPY TRAILS from 🇨🇦 to the 🇺🇸
Solar panels on roof! Obviously you have either not watched or listen to videos.
Good morning and have a wonderful day
Gooooood Morning Travus
@LumnahAcres, hey, have a wonderful day and keep up the great work
fun stull watching you young ins build a life
A 'fun' fact about temperatures. Of the 3 major temperature scales, only 2 go to -40, and in those two scales (Celsius and Fahrenheit), -40 is the same temperature. Kelvin does not go below 0, which is also known as Absolute Zero.
Minus 273.15 Celsius as I remember this from my school days. The .15 is important! lol
5 minutes and you know the old man outworks them all.
Just wondering how are you are providing natural light into the building?
No windows or skylights as shown already in videos.
Good moorning ❤. I sure hope it's cooler there then it is in Kansas
Gooooood Morning Jay I’ve heard Kansas has been pretty hot and dry
I would leave the boor red ny the way
@ 17:45 seems that you found a simpler solution to keep cow from kicking with the rear ankle straps
I saw that too, I would like to know if the kick-bar didn't work
Good morning Lumnah Acres hi everyone hope everyone is doing well and things are moving right along. Everyone remember to smash the like button for the hardest working channel on U Tube love y'all ❤💯❤❤❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍😉
Gooooood Morning Skull.
Good morning skull4663!😊🌄
Howdy Penny & Skull - does Penny do the milk bone on the nose trick and stay? Balancing the treat on the bridge of her nose, and then you let her get it?
Good morning my friend. I pray for you guys and I pray for good weather, prosperity for your farm. I pray for continued healing for Gina. Sometimes, even after the video is made and I’m watching it I still pray for you up on the roof lol even though I know the video is already over and edited.
When putting metal roof on i use to get a condensation protection under the metal. Otherwise there will be dripping at the same spot (where the condensation fall to the floor) and annoy you or damage something. Oil treted sheets or some fabric use to do the trick
They are spray foaming everything
There will be no condensation as roof & walls will be spray foamed.
@@tonygrimes13 they can still get condensation where the purlins are because there is nothing between the wood and the metal sheets, you will probably see stripes across the roof in the early morning. 👍🙂
@@colstace2560 How would water vapour get through the spray foam?
@@tonygrimes13 it doesn't, condensation forms when 1 side is warm and the other side is cold. Insulation makes the moisture form on the outside but there should be something between the sheets and the purlins. We used to use a foil-backed fiberglass batt over the purlins and lay the roof sheets over the top. 👍🙂🇦🇺🇦🇺
why not use one of the lifts you have to help you put the metal on the roof? it is coming together nicely.
Looks awesome.. I have to ask though ... How come you didn't put in a rear door , to access the back of the building ?
Al, what would happen if you allowed the pig pen to have access to all the fresh run-off water? Bet they'd stay in it most of the day....
Wouldn’t you be better to put felt over the roof, to stop the condensation dripping into the building. But it’s still looking brilliant keep on the good work.👍
It was said in Episode 1 of Ken's video they they would be installing spray foam.
@@tonygrimes13
people don't listen
@@colstace2560 So very true.
If you put felt on it, first, the water would run over the wood and drip outside. Putting snow foam in the inside is just holding the water in and rotting the wood.
@@wiggy5355 How would water drip outside? There is a metal barrier!!?
Whatever happened with the generator? Did they really stick you with that repair on a brand new unit?
I think I remember that year! Where I’m at (tug hill area of NNY), the average high temperature for that month of Feb was -5*. We had a lot of very cold days that year. Wondering if you’re planning on spray foam for the shop because I don’t recall seeing any rat guard on the bottom of the side panels.. good luck!!
spray foam has been mentioned several times.
Was wondering what he’s doing for it since I didn’t see rat guard. More of a question for rat guard then spray foam.
This was discussed on Episode 1 of Ken's video series at about 6:40.
@@all4glh
@@tonygrimes13 thanks. Haven’t watched his series yet. 👍
