Your explanation alone of how the inclinometer is affected by slipping and skidding turns helped me to confirm my understanding of slipping and skidding turns in general. This is another awesome video! Thank you!
Thank you for the excellent explanation. I’m not a native speaker in English, but I still understand every word, because your explanation is very clearly plain-spoken. Greetings from Austria a pilot from MS Flight Sim 2020
Nice video thanks. But it is not the centripetal force. Its the horizontal component of the lift. Centripetal force has always the same magnitude as the centrifugal force but opposite sign: Fcp= -Fcf
Thank you very much! I've been hours trying to understand why there were some contradictory images where they showed the ball moving left or right, it was called differently, (viceversa) skidding or slipping. I couldn't understand that it would depend on whether it was a Right or Left turn!
Good video! I just have a quick question. When they say the indications presented by the miniature aircraft of the turn coordinator is indirect indication of the bank attitude, what does that mean? Especially the indirect indication part? Thank you!
The miniature aircraft on a turn coordinator only tells you how fast the aircraft is turning. Turning is not a direct result of banking an aircraft because you can actually turn an airplane without banking at all, using rudders. Also you can bank an aircraft a lot without even turning, using rudders. However, as long as you keep the ball in the middle, staying coordinated, the miniature aircraft will accurately tell you the direction of aircraft bank or wings level.
The turn and slip is mounted horizontally not vertically. This video wasn’t helpful in explaining how the 30 degree cant measures rate of roll in the turn coordinator.
Thanks for useful videos. I have a question! Let's say turn coordinator indicates standard rate of turn, and inclinometer indicates slipping or skidding turn. Would the rate of turn still be the 3 degree per second as indicated by the turn coordinator? or does it indicate standard rate of turn only when the ball is centered?
what would happen if I am flying in a straight and level flight and all of the sudden I apply rudder only? how would the airplane would behave and what does the TC would indicate? thanks!
That would induce a strong yaw, and since it is not accompanied by the respective roll required for a coordinated turn, it will cause a skidding turn. This way in the TC, the miniature aircraft will indicate a turn in the direction of the yaw, but the ball of the inclinometer will move in the opposite direction, indicating a skid.
@@AviationTheory But as you said TC would show the rate of roll through the miniature aircraft, why would the miniature aircraft still moves if there is no roll but just yaw turn? My second question is very similar, can i refer to the angle of TC as an accurate reference of the bank angle? Thank you very much,.
Aren’t the magnitudes of your centripetal and centrifugal forces supposed to be opposite for skid/slip? It’s acting on the dial, not the ball. The ball wants to remain at rest in the liquid.

Finally a great example of how precession works on the turn coordinator. Thank you!
Your explanation is very easy to understand. Thanks from Taiwan!!!
Sir I am a big fan of urs. Please upload videos as much as possible I learn alot from ur videos. God bless u
I watched all videos of your Gyroscope series, really helped me a lot, thanks

Brilliantly explained. Thank you
Honestly one of the few who explain very well, thank you. You got a new subscriber, keep it up!
best video on gyros out there!
Yes sir, it is useful, thank you
Thank you very much as always!
Thanks man👍
Great editing!!

That is true if the turn radius remains constant. If the forces become unbalanced then the circle increases/decreases.
The “senses also banking” part was quite short.
Thank you 😊
Very very excellent 😍

Please lmk if you find a good explanation for this
did you ever find a video that explains this?
Sir, are you going to upload videos about vor procedures?. Your videos are awesome and really helpful. Keep them coming!!!!
Hi Mauricio, I'm planning to deal with IFR procedures in the future, first I´m going to cover the basic subjects!
@@AviationTheory Good!!
Thank you

Pls more video 😍😍😍😍👨🏼✈️👨🏼✈️✈️✈️
Can anyone provide a moving plane animation of skid and slip so can see the full picture?

Can you please explain why TSI over reads with increase in rotor RPM?
❤
I watched the whole thing just fro information on looping error. Could you edit this video to incorporate that? Thank you
Rate of turn 3 degrees/sg. What is sg stand for?
Hi! Sorry, it should be "sec" which stands for seconds. I forgot to modify it, since it was in spanish originally.
@@AviationTheory Thank you so much.
Goooooooodddddddd
Why is the gyro moving right when the plane is moving left and vice versa?
plz explain AFCS chapter in helicopters...
can i get the ppt of it?
why is second sg not sec?
Que máquina tan buena
Excellent but this AI software or speech generator should include a dictionary pronunciation database as part of its reference. In- CLEAN-ometer 😂

the InCLEANometer 😂
why does this instrument use electric power rather than vacuum?
In case the vaccum pump fails we will have one system that gives us bank information in imc
