I feel like Ultimate Spider-Man’s model seems off because the whole game is built around the cell shaded comic book, so without those effects, it seems strange. Also his neck being hunched like that is due to his idle pose being hunched forward in a sorta battle ready stance
That is still my personal favorite game. And yeah I actually love how they made it look very much like a living comic book style. I actually still have the Nintendo GameCube version.
@@joelcartagena953 I still have my PS2 copy somewhere. It was my first 3D Spider-Man game as a kid and it's still in my top favs to this day alongside the Insomniac series
no. spider-man is still his own character with his own personality. he's not a blank slate. like yes, you're supposed to be able to see yourself as spider-man. but he himself is still an actual character.
The way ditko drew him was absolutely unique and original, while every hero at the time was absolutely buff spider-man was drawn like a stick man dude was so slim and slender, yeah sure steve ditko and john romita sr buffed him up as the issues were kept releasing but spidey still has a unique silhouette, its tall, lanky but ripped and muscular picture an acrobat or an extreme sports guy and buff him up, that's spider-man.
The Marvel Ultimate Alliance model is really good. Nice colors, nice logos, nice lenses, just Romita Sr's Spider-Man brought into the 3rd video game dimension.
no, by the way marvel's future fight model is completely different from contest of champions, dunno where you took that info from, plus in an update they added a second classic costume for spider-man
The marvel ultimate alliance cg model is my favorite 3d Spider-Man model ever, it also looks like it was used on the Spider-Man universal ride and the Spider-Man,iron man and hulk short
5:33 - MUA was a top-down beat em up, you didn't really get that close with your characters as in USM and in cinematics they used super CGI models and stuff
I think the Ultimate Alliance model is taken from the 6th-gen version of the game. The 7th-gen model would have had a higher poly count. Also, if the Spider-Man 2 model is taken from the PC version, that is likely much higher quality than the console model, which looked pretty blocky in-game.
Neat video but major problem i see is that you inconsistently used models from other platforms, for spider-man 2 you used the pc version compared to the console one which does look worse then the 2002 movie game one
i like this style of video very much reminiscent of low poly from A+ Start keep it up but please try to look at other places than just models resource theres a lot of games skipped and just overall inaccuracies in this
You can do 3d models of the incredible hulk from hulk 2003 game, ultimate destruction, 2008 game, and the ds game model. Hulk from the lego marvel and the current avengers game or GTA mod.
You forgot spider-man web of shadows (2008) used the pc port of the spider-man 2 model instead of the ps2 one, alao forgot spider-man 2: enter electro (2001), you also forgot spider-man 3 (2007) spider-man: edge of time (2011) the amazing spider-man 1 (2012) also forgot about other models. For a video titled "the ULTIMATE Spider-Man model showdown" i expected much more, you didn't even cover the most obvious ones.
I do disagree that graphics don’t matter they do. It’s just matters how you stylize the graphics in the game. Also I assume the Ultimate Alliance model is lower poly because it was a multiplayer top down game with lots of effects. That’s why they lowered the number of polygons as you have a ton of other characters on screen as well as other effects
That Spider-Man 2 model is from the PC game, which is completely different from the console version. They're not even vaguely the same game, just based off the same movie. The console version was built on the Spider-Man 1 game, but the PC version is its own thing entirely, and is very, very bad.
@@ContentFreeTime okay that's good. And also about the Ultimate Spider-Man video game figure model, the reason why he looks very skinny and has a somewhat larger head is because in the Ultimate comics he's a young high schooler. I don't think he looks entirely weird.

True, 3D models that are supposed to be cel shaded never look good without it.

no spiderman 2 enter electro? that one had nice texturing.
7:45
Ain't that the whole point of Spider-Man?
The fact that it could literally be anybody, not having any iconic silhouette.
Yeah but these are video games and it’s not like the devs were marketing them saying “YOU CAN WEAR THE MASK”
@@SPIDERKN1GHT0327 Ye I know bro but still. It makes sense that Spider-Man isn't recognisable.

I can confirm that the sketchfab model is from the ps4 game, I found one model years ago , I checked it now and has the same amount of tris
The Marvel Ultimate Alliance model is really good. Nice colors, nice logos, nice lenses, just Romita Sr's Spider-Man brought into the 3rd video game dimension.
Oh hey bro wassup.
And yeah I agree, that model was always my favourite 3D Spidey, right next to PS1 and Ultimate.

No Dreamcast/PC model of Spider-Man 2000? It is different to PS1/N64.
As someone who enjoys cartoon-y art styles, my favorite has got to be the Disney Infinity one. I get bored looking at photo-realistic designs.

For me, Marvel Ultimate Alliance's Spiderman is the best, his physique, colors, suit and stance is so comic spiderman.

Insomniac's Classic Spider-Man model is my absolute favorite next to Amazing's from Shattered Dimensions, there's really no contest.
