    Yes, Cameco tractors are American but sadly no longer made. They were built in Louisiana. The same guy that designed this tractor is now CEO of another company called GAME EQUIPMENT company and they are built tractors similar to this. I hope to have their 755 horsepower model by next year doing precision landforming in Mississippi.

      ***** indeed it hasnt been seen around for some years... Even when they still had it, they didnt use it on peat soils for the risk of sinking it... theres no chance to get that 23t monster back above the surface once its sunken down.. And when operating all over the Northern Netherlands its not exactly practical to transport either...

      CAMECO INDUSTRIES "CANE MACHINERY AND ENGINEERING CO INC" WAS FOUNDED IN THIBODAUX LOUISIANA USA AND WAS A SUGARCANE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING COMPANY. John Deere BOUGHT HALF THE COMPANY IN 1998 AND THE REST IN 2007 NOW John Deere HAS ALL THE RIGHTS TO CAMECO'S EQUIPMENT DESIGNS AND MANUFACTURES THE SUGARCANE HARVESTERS IN THE SAME FACTORY. THEY DROPPED ALL THE OTHER EQUIPMENT FROM THEIR LINE UP LIKE THE TRACTORS CANE LOADERS ETC. BUT A SMALL COMPANY CALLED GAME EQUIPMENT FOUNDED BY A FORMER CAMECO ENGINEER IN THE NEIGHBORING TOWN OF NAPOLEONVILLE BUILDS TRACTORS THAT ARE BASICALLY CAMECO TRACTORS BUT WITH MORE TECHNOLOGICAL UPDATES.

      I believe the tractor was first purchased by a Dutch contracting business that specialized in deep ploughing. It turned out not to be all that suitable on account of its articulating chassis to steer it. It has however instead been used to assist their Fendts doing the same job. I would assume, but that is all it is, that they still have it in their fleet. They are Van Werven; farmers and contractors. You could ask them if they still have it.

    660 HP means what? How about some torque numbers. Torque pulls implements.

    • @royj8549
      @royj8549 7 років тому +1

      Torque at the wheels pull implements, a turbine engine making barely any torque can generate massive wheel torque with enough gearing (union pacific big blow).
      Each to back calculate torque: assuming 660hp @ 1900 rpm, 660*5252/1900 = 1824 lb-ft @ 1900. Assuming 30% torque rise, we have 2372 lb-ft @ 1461 RPM.
      Again, replace that engine with a turbine, 237 lb-ft @ 14,610 rpm, and the tractor would pull exactly the same with a 10:1 gear reduction.

    • @royj8549
      @royj8549 7 років тому

    660 horsepower and pulling a 26 foot cultivator? Meanwhile, in America, a 525 horsepower big bud is pulling between 40 and 60 feet and a 620 quadtrac can quite possibly pull 80 feet in the right conditions. Seems kind of wasteful doesn't it? She is a long way from home

    • @TheAgrotechnik
      @TheAgrotechnik 6 років тому +3

      In Europe, we often grow the soil 1ft or moore deep. For example this cultivator had 18 working teeths, each foot wide and wokring maximum 1,5 foot deep (sometimes teeths are bigger). Thats why comparing to US or Aussie, European toys looks smaller and wasteful.

  • @NorthEastSaskFarmer
    @NorthEastSaskFarmer 9 років тому +2

    That thing needs to go back to North America where it can actually pull an implement big enough to match it and where it can have dual or triple tires. Pointless to have it anywhere but North America or Australia. Stupid that it even ended up in Europe. Australia would be a great place for it too, no width restrictions of any kind.
