My dad was a heavy smoker. I saw what the booze and smoke made of him. I never touched the stuff, but the time near him did leave some damage on me. Second hand smoke can still hurt after all. Seeing this reminded me of that. That attitude of 'one more couldn't hurt' is one that always hurt him. But this mod was nice... A good tribute to abuse of a substance. There's a nice little secret where if you exit back to the main menu after you finish "Fading", it plays the instruments for that song. The reason it crashes is that the song ended and since the game doesn't have anything to repeat it just does. Crashing was unintentional but it fit so well they left it in.
I don’t think Garcello was trying to have us smoke on his own will, I think he was being hired by Daddy Dearest judging from a few lines of dialogue. Especially, “Better me than you.” Seems like the same stuff he was smoking was going to kill Boyfriend but instead he took the hit to save him.

@Mikeeey a little backstory on Garcello here: He was hired by Daddy Dearest to kill BF with some special cigarettes (the ones in the mod) but after the first rap battle ended he decided to take the hit and let him live out of pure respect. In the end it killed Garcello, but Daddy Dearest would have done much worse if he failed, so he had no regrets when he died. He even smiled when fading. Dude is a goddamned hero in more ways than one
My headcannon for this mod's story is that Garcello was hired by GF's dad to kill BF by luring him into the alleyway and getting him to smoke from the cigarette Garcello's got throughout the mod; but Garcello is a heavy smoker and ends up smoking it himself before and during the first song, when afterwards he realizes he likes BF and thinks he's cool, so he doesn't want to kill him with the cig so he just powers through and smokes it himself. The cigarette ends up killing him, but he's just happy it didn't happen to our little beebop boi.
this is probably the most official looking and highest quality mod on fnf rn. the cutscenes, charting, music and dialogue are perfect and it feels like an actual week
