she is an amazing woman and a true inspiration
I 've always liked her! And I am so happy that's she's happy! She is an amazing example of what GOD CAN DO!

So happy to know even if I never got to meet her in person on earth I'll get to see her in heaven. Way to go Denise. So many stars die and I always wonder were they saved. Was a big fan when I was also lost and followed your career. Am even a bigger fan now.
This is the third time I have watched this and her passion for the Lord always inspired me!
I'm glad she's happy now. Maybe she realized she was living the wrong life and she saw that it.
When she sang...I was surprised..she sounded better as Denise than Vanity.
she still looks pretty but reminds of my aunt ! One extreme for the other she quit drugs and found god!.. She looks pretty !
Wow, this is a very touching story. Just like the story of Kevin Thorton from Color Me Badd, he had a story very similar top this. My God is real and here is even further proof!
You can live without kidneys but you have to get dialysis treatments. She is my inspiration; although, I never was on drugs. I can relate to her being a woman and dealing with God and the worlds temptation. She is a minister now and not on drugs anymore. She was so beautiful I admired her. And still is beautiful its weird how I am almost finish with dialysis school and her name came up in conversation and I asked the same thing about not having kidney's. Its possible but only with dialysis care.
I would venture to say Christ turned her life around. Thank you Jesus!

Wow. I had such a huge crush on her in the 80's as a teenager. Now? I would be so blessed to have her as a wife. God can do miracles. What a beauty. Just a doll! I had no idea she found our Lord until tonight. God Bless Denise, With much Love.

Praise god denise I am so happy for you I have 17yrs clean..I know. The power og god. I wanted to be in the entertainment business at one time but god had other plans. I am a grandmother now.mother. Blessed me. With health. I have 17yrs clean. Nothing but the grace of god I was Africans a gonner . Believe me I tell this to Aa newcomer believe in god. He will changed your life. I love u denise. The bible tells us that Satan is the author of sin. All those things you see comes from the enemy, but they must come to pass in order that the universe may see sin for what it is. But the time is coming when all that will be swept away and God will create a new heaven and a new earth and all tears will be wiped away.
Everything that she is saying is true. We ALL can learn from this beautiful woman! It is amazing what we are blind to when we are in the world existing without keeping ourselves fed with God's word. Amen!!!

God is soo real
I too was lost in all my self-righteous beliefs until I met up with truth. It didn't condemn me but it convicted me. It gave me to see who I was & for what it was worth. For my sin I should've died but by Jesus' death life has become new. Life now & forever more! Glory to The Most High God!!!

People need to stop worrying about other peoples walk and stop merging their evil judgements with Gods. if God chooses to save someone does He or anyone else need are opinion. when u undermine someone's faith and validity when they are obviosly walking upright you play into the enemies hands. You are basically undermining Gods work and questioning His moves and discouraging others in her situation from coming to christ.
I love her and I'm happy she is happy and blessed..
People need to realize that everyone is not going to agree on everything about religion. If Denise Matthews wants to spread her word about being a christian, Let her do so It's her life. All she is doing is spreading love. Why Can't people agree to disagree or feel that their way is the only right way. People can ya'll be glad that Denise alive.....DAMN !!!
If she found her way through her beliefs and faith, and spreads it which might help others, why would anyone talk down about it? If you don't agree with them, then just STFU and keep it to yourself or take it to a forum where you can talk about it with people of the same mindset. Live your own life and follow your own beliefs. Everyone's going to find out in the end who's right and who's wrong when it comes to God, or whatever name you prefer. But respect people's beliefs and passions.
I love watching her, she is amazing. I remember her as Vanity back in the day, that just shows you how Jesus can transform your life if you put him first.....she gets it. Good for her, she is beautiful....One thing, it's funny that Prince chose that name Vanity for her.....

Huh?? She came out of that life when she was younger like 18 years before this.
not to take anything from her but im kinda sick of ppl who live full glamorous lies full of smiles and partying coming to Christ 50 years later..like forreal? its just kind of annoying hearing it and seeing the same thing happen continuously.

Yet so many people still die in the name of these "saviors" and primitive beliefs....and still we wait around with the whole "he will come save me someday" mentality. If everything negative that happens to us in our lives is "satan" and everything positive is Jesus, where do our choices fit in? I do believe in God but i am not religious. She just started to finally really love herself and thats why she feels this joy and happiness now. I believe all the higher power needs is appreciation :)
