I'm really enjoying your videos and love taking your mini-tours all over the world! I'm so glad you made it my neck-of-the-woods! Victoria and Vancouver Island is a great place to call home. Cheers!

I recently started watching your videos. I am a fan of ships of all kinds. As a young man I worked for the BC Ferries Corp on the run up the inside passage. I am retired now. If you are ever in this part of the world again you must take this trip. It is very scenic and will be a trip you will not forget.

I've been to Victoria twice, once by cruise ship and once by ferry from Port Angeles. Beautiful town, lots of fun to visit.

My cousin took me there in 1979 on the S.S. Margaret from Seattle. It was a beautiful trip. She to the gardens. We were at the Empress hotel for high tea, which I still do today.

Nicely done. The two "Spirit" ships (British Columbia and Vancouver Island) where built in time for the 1994 Commonwealth Games held in Victoria that year. The three "Coastal" ships were in service for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The "Spirit" ships are single-ended, so you were actually standing at the stern at 5:58. The 1500 sailing for the "Spirit" ships is crew change from days to afternoon shift. The mob of people at 6:36 is the afternoon crew waiting to board. Sorry the weather wasn't a bit nicer for your crossing. :( Some beautiful photos in the summertime.

What a really cool video! The ferry was pretty bland, not much to see of great interest, but the city more than made up for it. What neat buildings, the shops, Chinatown, lots of colorful nooks and crannies to explore. I would have a great time photographing the architecture and other sights. Nice coastal views of the wooded islands along the way.

I like to stand outside up forward while she transits Active Pass, The highlight of possibly one of the most scenic ferry routes in the world.

I have always been fascinated by that part of the world including Vancouver Island. Sadly I will probably never be able to go there. So thank you for this video, and your many others. You bring the world of sea going ferries into my home. Well done!

$50 seems very reasonable. That's always seemed like it would be a nice place, even if the weather is sometimes rather dull.

AndreiTupolev It’s spectacular in the summer. And it’s 50 Canadian, so not as much in USD.

The (foreign-built and foreign-flagged) cruise ships stop in Victoria on their way to Alaska in order to help comply with the Jones Act.

Vancouver Island is huge with many beautiful places on it. Victoria is only a very small part of it. The Island doesn't revolve around Victoria.

You can take the SkyTrain and Translink bus on the Vancouver end and then BCTransit (usually a) Double-Decker on the other and save money.

TubeBrasil The $50.50 is the ferry plus the bus ticket. It's almost $20.00 (Canadian) for a foot passenger ticket.
