How in the hell does this not have a million views? I have been noodling around scales with no direction. You just made the light go on. Best lesson ever.
@ Lars...you are spot on. How the hell does everything this young man offers not have millions of views? His passion for growth and positive development is always heartfelt and genuine. I recently purchased his "Dissecting the Dead" series (all 3). In the series, he very cleverly presents what I consider a scholarly analysis of some of the greatest ideas of one of the world's greatest bands ever -- and all without being smug or talking down to the student. His way is always lighthearted and honest. He has a brilliant natural style that encourages a player to really listen, study and think through various parts of ensemble performance. If you only remotely respect the Dead, then his series will have significant impact on your overall approach to the instrument; if you are serious about the Dead, then this series is a must-have (he 'dissects' Althea, Fire on the Mountain, and Morning Dew). And while he offers a lot of example guidance, tabs, backing tracks, WAV stems, etc., his overarching style throughout is about encouragement to find your own voice. That is Jeff's true guiding spirit. Thank you, Jeff.
Hi Jeff, Your UA-cam channel is sooooo awesome! I am a lifelong guitarist and I learn new things every time I watch your content. Thanks so much for posting all the great content you do. Respectfully, Kevin
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar understood, your channel is a great aid as is... yeah Rob is nuts, sometimes I feel like he's a bit over my head- but he's a great teacher. He, like you, has a great way of breaking things down into small, digestible pieces

Hey man, do you do Skype lessons? I'm already taking lessons from Rob Compa but I want to supplement that.
Unfortunately I don't teach Skype or private lessons anymore. Man, Rob Compa is mind blowing!
