  • Originally written in 1993 by Irish American Immigrant Hamish O'Denim during the denim work-wear boom that occurred as part of the great depression. This song was recorded with a modern folk sound by Shamrock Selvedge, as a way of appreciating the importance that denim has had to members of the working class, and in particular to immigrants who often find harsh manual labor to be heir only option for income. While easily lost in translation, the lyrics are tongue in cheek, satirizing statements that the state of the economy was directly linked to a lack of effort from the working class, rather than from major financial institutions that had failed the country.
