I recently picked up a Bose Sound Dock Portable from a Thrift Store for $4.99. I was able to test this unit and decided it was best to part out the unit and sell the components on eBay. Please join me as I show you how to disassemble this unit and remove the components. I will be doing a follow up video to be posted tomorrow showing each of the compents as they are listed. - Розваги
Tremendously helpful and can't get over how you sound just like Matthew McConaughey. I let my neighbor borrow it and she accidentally broke a Male AUX plug off in the port. Was able to disassemble it without any issues and got it cleaned out for the first time in its life. Thanks a million

I was wondering if the older versions have a sub woofer in the middle and it looks like an ear canal almost how it goes through the inside on the new ones

good video. minor error... The charge port is not standard, as they seem to use whats called dual rail supply so it has + volts, ground and - volts from the plugpack. Or at least the 2 I inspected here in Australia do.

Perfectly explained.....just one question. Does the base hold the bottom of the grill locked in, or can the grill be just eased off.
It doesn’t seem that the base holds the grill on. If I remember correctly there is some adhesive holding it in.

can you do a video replacing the cells in the battery pack. 1, getting the damn battery open is tough. they used screws that only tighten, cant unscrew them?!?! 2nd, i am ok at soldering, barely ok, i just would want to make sure i do it the right way

How to clean the grill part?
the grill is easily removed. im sure it can be cleaned with warm water and soap

How can I connect those two speakers into another board like a raspberry or something like that?
They have a standard speaker connection
Mind you this speakers are tuned to perform with bosis audio circuitry exclusive. I have tried connecting to normal but powerful amplifiers from China. Theoretically the works but nowhere near with original DSP and amplifier from Bose. Trust me it's not worth the time. If you can get out total working you out of the speaker I would say it's better value for money.

Yes. Very popular product. I did not have a power adapter so that is why I parted it out and sold the parts

@@MACESTechnologiesLLC I’ve seen those already. But there’s a small difference, as the ones for the portable edition which I have, those have the outline kind of like a spiral. I guess it’s where it bounces. And those I cannot find. What about the ones you took off? Sold already?

You’re better off buying a Bluetooth conversion kit. The converted unit sells for $500 +/-. The original 30-pin unit was best in class for a decade. They have a cult following.
These things as is sell for $2-400. Why part it out?

Do tell...I have one with a corroded 30-pin board that will never work again, so a Bluetooth adapter is not an option in my case. I have only seen a conversion kit (sold by Invebo) for the original Sounddock I, which has a different cable configuration, and will not work with the N123 Sounddock Portable AFAIK. There is also the difference in size between the PCB of the iPod dock of the V1 and the N123. The V1 PCB is larger than the N123, as it has more space that it can fill. Two strikes against getting it to work with the N123. If you have found a conversion kit for the N123, please share where you can get it from.
I haven’t really looked for one. I just picked up a sound dock (non portable) in white with remote and power adapter for $3.99
