Even if you are an atheist and do not believe in what you consider this "nonsense" it doesn't make any sense to take a gamble. Blaise Pascal posited the "Pascal's Wager." I know that atheists "refute" this as nonsense. But I can't see any downside by considering the POSSIBILITY that you may be wrong. it is not difficult for atheists to try to avoid major personal evils and sins. It makes sense in terms of logic: Just try to avoid them. It usually costs nothing. If you are wrong and God DOES exist, you will be on the "good side." Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
