Thanks for the videos and love learning new things, industry has come a long way in a short span. The community has lost a lot of people that were instrumental in building modeling to new heights! Need to replenish with youngsters doing these as we that are long in the tooth have a limited shelf life so to speak. Boyd was the Bob Ross of Star Trek modeling!
Not just Boyd Don Matheny was a god amongst the SciFi community as well. And I bring this up as Lake Monster has taken up the torch and Don's original masters and brought his incredible resin aftermarket parts back onto the market.
Absolutely, I don't think we would have the aftermarket community that we have without Don and DLM and thankfully Cass has picked up that torch with Lake Monster!
@@theensignschair I'm glad I knew Don. We were both in the old Starship Modelers Forum back in the day. I have the Original Reliant kit that I was starting on detailing before assembling 23 years ago and all the resin parts I have for it other than the Shuttlebay I bought directly from Don.
Looking forward to your build Will. The add-ons are going to be really cool to see.

This is great information here,you're showing a lot of great aftermarket add on parts to improve the build.
I like the paragraphix photo etch parts,back in 2018 I was able to purchase a bundle of the 8 window Seaview from the film and season 1 of that series. As part of the bundle I received the paragraphix phote etch and it really added to an already nice kit,making it nicer.I am looking forward to your progress on all of the builds that you mentioned, take care Will!

I actually do like Garry's decals from G-Cal I ordered 2 sets of Ambassador class decals for the USS Yamaguchi and the USS Excalibur for my builds of the Yamaguchi clear kits. And a custom Galaxy class set for the Opaque Enterprise kit so I can model the New Frontiers USS Excalibur A.

Not sure what focus issues you are referring. I manually focus my camera for close-ups.
Is this the version with the saucer section to thin when tge halves are put together?
No, this is the current re-release!
@@theensignschair Ah the one where they erased the window indents when they reworked the saucer. Kenny Conklin had a major rant when he saw that. LOL

I looked at multiple pictures of the studio model.
@@theensignschair My fault I didn't explain what I meant , Years ago I did this kit & I found the details to be soft & some missing such as panels & panel lines , I was wondering if they had corrected such mistakes , as yet here in Australia we haven't received the kit yet.
I made these upgrades and printed them myself
