- A beautiful wild camp on table mountain in the Brecon Beacons in South Wales.
This week i'm back in Wales, i had an overnight stop on table mountain as a stepping stone to my ultimate destination.
I was out with warren from @Linleys who once again planned a fabulous spot for a wild camp.
The tent i used was the Wechsel Exogen 1 which i was testing out.
i got this from Colin of outdoorgear essenstials.
he will soon be stocking these tents.
I also bought the Light tour sleeping pad off him.

I bought Light Tour sleeping pad (mummy - also highest R) an about 6 months ago. Since then I used this thing so many times even on bedroom for an about two weeks as kind of test .
I am so happy of this purchase. Pad itself is so comfy any quiet.
What makes my smile is the bag you shown because I am using that as the bag for my clothes- always dry and extremely small when press out the air.
I have to say the Costumer Service is very good- Mr James from Camperlists answered to ever single question I had.
On the end - about £100 cheaper than the biggest competitor.
Yeah, I'm well impressed so far. My only concern was its longevity. But your comment gives me hope! 👍👍
My last venture with a Frey bentas pie was possibly in the last century! Never again I vowed! I was expecting to see Mr Messner pass you by 🍄
It was nice to have something other than goo in a bag for supper.
We were in the Beacons for 4 days overall. Bumped into Paul and Darren on day 3 I think. Really surreal that was 😂
I bet you put the world to rights between you. What a beautiful sunny day, to enjoy the scenery, with good company. Loved the sound of trickling water.

That tent looks the goods for your trekking Dan. Are you saying you've got a big hezd that needs extra gead space mate .. lol. Real plus to be able to sit up and move about for sure. I don't think anyone else has got a friend like custard man to go camping with he's a real treasure and a wealth of knowledge.. so enjoy your vlogs together and individually my friend. 😂😂 it's a stunning country, you'll have to come on a trip there with me one day. I keep trying to tempt Lee into it. The 3 of us could have a decent camp out sometime xx

We could even sneak a last day in a B&B of my mums friends before heading home 😉👍🏼

It is and we did. Forecast was for rain the whole time. I was expecting an epic camping in the rain video 😤😂

Great little camp dan, I love Wales too, I haven't been to this particular location in the Brecon tho. Tent looked very well camouflaged up there but I'm not a fan of an inner pitch first tent. Steak and kidney pud looked awesome. I have wondered how long it would take to boil and now I know 😁 all the best mate
the water resistant inner makes the tent more usable in bad weather. its a good design idea.

their pathfinder tents are even more rock solid in high winds, although a little smaller than the exogen it is more for stealth its so stable its embarrassing

I've got that exact same sleeping-mat, except it's branded as a Naturehike.

Great trek and camp Dan👍👍 Beautiful scenery of the Welsh countryside and with Warren to enjoy the sights with you, this was a fantastic video. Tent looked worthy and easy enough to pitch, noticed the rigid set when the wind blew. Nice real meal on the mountain, makes a difference. Great place to camp. Love Wales but it's a ball-ache from here. Apparently it's called Crug Hywel in Welsh which means Hywel's Fort. All hill forts are Iron Age.

I bought a Wechsel Venture. Exactly the same dimensions as the Exogen, but half the cost and weighing half a kilo heavier. I had a look at the specs, but couldn't quite figure where the extra weight came from. (just had a closer look: it's polyester vs nylon).

It’s amazing the similarities between Great Britain and New England. The walls, pastures and hills and many other features. Vermont and New Hampshire are especially good examples. Love the CLB channel!
