@@tqhr Same, it feels shitty on console after playing on PC for a while. Like I can't do shit with Mishimas on console but can do EWGFs consistently on PC. I wish they make PC as a standard.
It's very cathartic and humbling to see someone that plays at as high of a level be able to step back and say what the fuck was I doing in that moment, but the thing I hope many viewers agree with is that you should embrace the grappler nature of AK much more!
I mean it's true. Check the semi finals and grand finals. Do you often see a character that requires a lot of execution? Nowdays you see only fakhs, lidias, leroys, fengs, geeses. I think ease of charcter is quite important in tournaments (from tournament player perspective).
Yeah the input lag between console and pc are way too apparent, and I believe even more so with pad (though this part may apply on the ps5 using ps4 pad). Even playing simpler characters, like king, Josie, Shaheen, etc. has their issues. Just doing simple things like dash ups, you can feel the input delay. This is especially bad when you need to do things like microdashes or timing specific combos like kings ff+1 combo. Just a counter point as well, im sure a lot of these other players don't play on console as well anymore, especially the major US pros. Considering the history of competitive games in japan, such as street fighter, it seems more likely that gen may have the most experience with Playstation lag. I wouldn't be surprised if knee was frustrated with the lag as well.
Knee definitely was, he told chanel on a phone call that the monitor was really slow, and he just can't make it work with his dvj, hence he switched to steve even though he always used DVJ against Gen.
The title is slightly misleading. He said he is only quitting Armor King on console, not for PC tournaments. This is because playstation tournaments have more input lag, and it makes fishing for Dark Uppers and whiff punishes much harder for AK. On PC, he still plans to stick to AK. But likely, he will bring out another pocket pick for PS4 tournaments that are less reliant on macro play (Like Fahk, Dragunov etc.). Characters that are weak to option selects are generally stronger in PS4 tournaments, as it's harder to fuzzy them like Katarina, Miguel etc.

i am NOT trying to teach , but i have made several Anti-Akuma Videos WITH Armor King and he IS the ultimate Akuma kiler. you just have to play a little Different against him
Honestly I am 99% sure that Tekken 7 and PS5 was not optimized at all. The application was programmed for a PlayStation 4. The hardware and software wasn't playing nice because the PS5 is probably on a newer version of Sonys' Proprietary OS. I wouldn't be surprised if other players noticed a bit of latency as well. Because JD doesn't just complain about latency over nothing. Also, Super akouma dropping combos? Yeah that's shady. He doesn't really drop... In summary: a PS5 is MUCH faster than a PS4 and should be giving WAY LESS input lag. T7 is just not optimized for PS5 is my speculation.

@@markeffee thx !
you should watch lil majins reaction to your AK play. According to him you didnt use AK right
Main Leroy😀👍🏻
The whole stream was pretty difficult to watch. The production value was ass, it took way too long for the amount of players, commentators were horrendous, and why did they have to be in the arena right next to the players? Who thought that was a good idea? Also why were there so many of them? Three on the stage and two in the booth. Made no sense at all.
All that elaborate setup with the boxing ring and they go ahead and play on PS5 lol.
lmao that ending
I don't agree with this. I feel you'll end up switching back to AK again eventually.
i am NOT trying to teach , but i have made several Anti-Akuma Videos WITH Armor King and he IS the ultimate Akuma kiler. you just have to play a little Different against him
Don't Mind Me Here. I'm Just Waiting For Someone To Create A Spark.
23:31 you're welcome
@JDCR Absolutely no brain ..........you need FATHER LEE CHAOBLA to teach you xD
