"What I'm looking for is progress, not perfection." So many golden nuggets from Francisco. After you watch, I'm curious, what resonated the most with you?
I really love that you are featuring experts from different fields where they show how they use Obsidian. Sure, we might have our own personal workflows, but these demos give us ideas how we can make our processes better. I always pick up something new from these videos. Thank you, Nick!
I'm impressed by the "focus" part, and the use of W's and principles to avoid dispersion. I took note ! I'm quite new on Obsidian but start to see the power of the tool. Thank you for this interesting case story.
I truly resonate with Francisco when he says how he feels a mess, and gets easily distracted. I am easily distracted too, oh look, a bird... and I am only just beginning to realize the power of documenting my thoughts in this way. I feel the insight into your Obsidian structure has truly inspired me to overhaul my Obsidian workflow, I've used it for a while, but to nowhere near it's potential. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
What a great set up. Having the next step for projects in the preview is fantastic. Also, I've been saying "focus" all wrong. Francesco's way commands more attention!
Fantastic system. I love that Francisco starts with high-level structure that includes life principles -- to focus himself not only on projects and tasks, but on a much bigger picture vision that's well-defined. Thank you for sharing!
This presentation is pure gold! Everything is perfect, well timed, clear and concise. I've been looking for decades for something like this, both on the software side, as well as on the whole setup Francisco shared. I came accross obsidian just 4 days ago and I'm sold. Binging on videos, blogs and thinking about it all the time! Francisco's presentation did it for me. Cheers to this awesome channel. Totally subscribed!
Thanks to Francisco for sharing, and also for being transparent about his challenges trying to keep himself focused. I do identify quite a lot with him as I am love learning about tech, psychology, economics (and the list goes on). I have been transitioning from Notion to Obsidian and Francisco's PKM has given me some additional tools. Thanks for your content, keep it up!
A very inspiring set up. I really liked that he incorporated himself, his principles and values as a sort of starting point of going into a project. Thank you for sharing, Francisco and thank you NickMilo for doing these videos.
How... How does it get better than this? I only heard about Obsidian about a week ago and have systematically been going through Niko's "For Beginners" series. I was awfully overwhelmed on how to put it all together... And then this. I am not even going to pretend that I am going to "modify/improve" on this. I want exactly this. If there was a Francisco Bricio template that outlined this layout, I would be all over it. I have a question. Does he use one vault for everything? And what was that Plug-In that he said he used as his primary entry place? This is all so new, and fascinating, and overwhelming, and cool
I agree that this looks super functional. It reminds me of elements of the Strategic Objective and Operating Principles documents from the book "Work the System" by Sam Carpenter, which I have already spent some time with. I look forward to blending the two and customizing this for myself and the context in which I work. Thank you for sharing this recording!
Excellent presentation from Francisco of his distilled workflow and experience, as well as the usual high-quality production from Nick. Thank you both!
Omg, there's so much possible with obsidian. I am sort of overwhelmed as many things I thought I'd still need like productivity apps like notion,to do lists ,etc. seems to be possible in obsidian itself...
Can you shed light on which plugin is being used or query system to create Francisco’s master task list page, along with the plugin that keeps the completed copy at the bottom of that list?
I too find myself using Drafts for initial capture, but right now my process for adding things from there to Obsidian is manual. I’d be curious to see more about the integration Francisco has implemented between the two.
Thanks, Zach! I'm doing a simple integration with an Action that appends my ToDo.md text file. Please share your email account and I'll forward it to you.
@@FranciscoBricio Hello Francisco, your presentation is really inspirational. Could you please share your integration with Drafts somewhere online, so that more of us could benefit from your great idea. Since watching this video the first time I have started using it and learned more about obsidian. I have not figured out how to to do the "next step". Is that automated or manual ?
Thanks a lot for the video! Very interesting method, I particulary liked the Focus page with the use of the 7 W's. He unfortunately skipped the "Why" section of that page, I wonder if you have more insight on that particular part?
No extra insights into Francisco's personal "Why" section. You've piqued my curiosity though because I'm sure it would be valuable to know. I'll eventually hopefully ask him when the timing is right
@@linkingyourthinking I am also interested, whould be also great if Francisco can show us all his Obsidian plugins. Maybe you can create one more episode with Francisco, this one is really great. Thank you for all efforts :)

I am struggling to get the Plug In Tag Wrangler to "appear" in my vault...any suggestions? I need to restructure my tags but I am still new in the game so I can create a new vault but would prefer not to...

I watched this video. I'm a new obsidian-er...I Just want to thank Francisco. I saw in these 13 minutes that he is a great person.
Your voice, the classical music, the short but solid explanation from the guess, everything is perfect in this video. Loving it
Wow, thanks!
The classical music is by Mahler, author on whom Francisco is an expert. It's Mahler's 5th symphony's Adagietto.

What theme is that? I love it
I liked the structure of the 7 W's... the one I didn't see is "Why?" as in the Golden Circle by Simon Sinek.
He has the Why section, but just skipped it for the presentation
Injoyed
Thanks for the idea to add I or P etc. to tags to denote Interests or People. One more level or clarity :)
Soooo valuable and interesting! Thanks for this and keep them coming please!
It is very useful and inspired me to make the similar work flow.
Hey There? Anyone knows what is the theme that Francisco are using on the video? Thank you!
Can you share how to create a master tasks list?
Would love to know what theme he's using if anyone knows. I searched all the community themes available and couldn't find it.
Excellent. :)
How does one create these notes within a note (referring to the purple highlighted words)
Which is the plugin that he talks about at last that moves compleated task to last
It's a community plugin called "Completed Area" by Daha
@@linkingyourthinkingtotally new to plugin. Is there one able to show all open task within Obsidian?

big sur aesthetic theme is best for this

Really weird choice of music, that Mahler one :-)
Ahá! Around minute 9-10, there's a to-do linked to the Mahler foundation. Riddle solved.
I'd suggest his 1st symphony (around minute 5) as the background for this video - that's way more cheerful than his adagietto.
amazed and kind of depressed
Your poor. mic makes your video challenging to watch. Nice work otherwise
