    I think a shoulder holster like this is best paired with a very small pocket pistol.

    A western snap shirt is the perfect answer to this gentleman's concealment access issue. One can rip open the snaps rather quickly.

    Good Video!! I often use another one very much the same. I have no idea what Co it is since the label is worn. I almost always ware western shirts so they snap shut. Easier to get to on the draw. I think it was originally a belly band style that just has the shoulder straps velcro on. Only issue is I live in Az and they get very warm in the summer.

    If not velcro and modified buttons, you could always use a snap button shirt.
    They even make some where the snaps are made to look like regular sewn on buttons.

    Also, using plaid, or some other type of print can make a big difference over just a plain solid colored outer shirt.

    Great review! I just ordered the Deep Conceal. I plan to use it in warm weather when I wear loose t-shirts or my favorite bowler shirts. For tucked in shirts, I MIGHT wear the Deep Conceal but most likely wear my ThunderWear. You can't tell that I'm carrying with ThunderWear and it's easier to draw.

    Would be nice if that could incorporate a thin kydex shell to retain the gun. That would eliminate the need for Velcro retaining strap.

    I like the shoulder harness also. You get to carry your favorite gun rather than a micro I guess. If I was an operative I might try to fashion a slit in the shirt seam that sits over the gun that can be pushed/pulled to reveal the grip. I would soon get fed up with a chunk of metal inside the waist band. My jean button is only just managing to cope as it is. I like those leather shoulder harnesses though.

    I also hate IWB holsters. I feel like my belt no longer is able to hold my pants up with such holsters and feel like I'm wearing football pants (remember how the pads would attach by your belt?) I've resorted to man purses and fanny pack style systems. I've been trying to find a system that works with someone with a 66" jacket size.

    Yep with western style shirts you already have the snaps in place. Whereas I would be ripping my shirt open and losing buttons and tearing the shirt - those wearing western shirts will have no such damage.

    What are your thoughts on the T-Shirt Carry systems (undershirt with a sewn in holster)? Do either the Kanagroo Carry or the Deep Conceal give you bra lines on your overshirt?

    Please advise me of your face book name, also I have a question about your AR15 hand guard that appears at the beginning of a U-tube video about Deep Concealment, Mar.13, 2013. It appears to be a free float type, but you still retain the standard front sight.
    Is the hand guard a two piece drop in, or did you cut a forward slot so you can retain the sight assy.

    • @tireiron
      @tireiron  10 років тому

      Mike K - my facebook name is "ACPS LLC" - which is my training company. The handguard I used was a Samson Evolution 7 EX. It will fit a carbine length gas system with OEM front sight tower and still extend around the sides and bottom. Thank you for watching and for posting!

    Good video examples and review. Thanks. I shared your video on Defensive Carry Forum and subbed you.
    I've been wondering about using a plain ole Belly Band - Large enough to wear high on torso like what your wearing and if needed maybe modify some plain ole suspenders to help hold it up. Anyone ever think about or do that?

    • @tireiron
      @tireiron  10 років тому +2

      Thank you Tom - I appreciate you watching, sharing and commenting. I have tried the belly band, even wearing up high - but it always was trying to slip down. So I would doing weird motions with my arms trying to keep it up where I wanted it. Ultimately these rigs I am showing are really nothing more than belly bands with shoulder straps. Again - thank you for the kind words, shares and comments.

    Had anyone tried using this holster type for jogging

    • @tireiron
      @tireiron  7 років тому

      I have used it for jogging and with the arms moving back and forth a lot more than just walking it a little problematic. You need to keep your arms slightly extended away from your body or the arm will keep bumping the gun. Thank you for watching and posting.

    • @r0d1tub2

    So that's basically a shoulder holster that will get you killed because you can't get to it in time. You might as well just wear a shoulder holster underneath the shirt and not tuck it in. That is a horrible way to conceal carry in my opinion. If you can't reach your weapon fast enough to save your life there's no reason to carry it. Excuse me sir while I unbutton my shirt to save my life please don't shoot yet...😂

    • @tireiron
      @tireiron  4 роки тому +2

      You are 100% correct IF you plan on unbuttoning your shirt......HOWEVER when I carry this way I just plan on RIPPING the shirt open. Which is about the same as opening a jacket, but this way I don't have to wear a jacket.

      Apparently not listening. And apparently you have never, ever made a mistake - good for you. I make mistakes on a daily basis. If that bothers you I suggest you find a different channel to watch. If you can overlook simple mistakes (I pronounced the wrong artery - but that does not negate the fact that there is an artery there) then thank you for watching.
