Hi, do all the different ILS fixtures go through the same channel on the ILS command or do the ILS pars, derby ect have their own channels. I'm planning to do this wireless. cheers,
Each ILS fixture has a dfi USB in them. Pars will work when you select pars, no matter how many you have, they will all do the same thing. The command will know if you are talking to a moving head or a derby fixture. BUT you CANNOT have multiple par lights on different channels. That would fall into the dmx world where you address each light to a dmx address. ILS is all on one wireless dfi channel.
it is weird when ILS was released the creator of the concept called it Integrated Lighting System, and that is how Chauvet marketed it for years, now they call it Instant Lighting System.
Not fond of the ILS system when used in the ColorBand series, it's channel hungry when using DMX. Best example is the ColorBand H9. What I can do in 11 channels with the H9 USB now requires 18 channels with the H9 ILS version. If I use 10 ILS H9's I loose 77 DMX channels, which means I lose the use of 5 15 channel movers. While the ILS system has it's uses for quick and dirty programing, when programing in DMX and trying to stay in a single universe that can be a game changer.

Didn’t Martin do something similar 20 years ago with the Freekie?
Maybe, seems similar to an extent
