This is how they can revive the game 1. Make it cross platform so games will actually have humans in it 2. Bring iceberg lettuce and make her unlockable by grinding or buying it. We want to make money but we have to make some f2p so players will respect the game 3. Release the scrapped outfits 4. make adds of the new changes, UA-camrs can't get everyone into the game. 5. Make competitions so pro players can have fun and have a tournament 6. Add another legendary ability like kernel corns shield but don't make it like branium basher 7. Add more upgrades to characters so pvps would be a lot more interesting 8. Competitive mode with ranking system but keep the normal rounds like turf and ect , we don't want the game to be to competitive 9. Fix bugs 10. After the games been revived make another pve and another character like a pult character for plants and for zombies a pop star. 11. Make the maps balanced when u are defending in turf u have a advantage 12. Add more spawn able plants and zombies. Like ice shroom and disco. 13. Make prize orbs purchasble but u can still unlock them normally.
As much as it would be awesome to see BFN get saved. It's definitely not going to happen since the games coming up to 3 years without any content. I do sort of agree with the comment The Buckeye Dolphin said in terms of BFN having more of a chance of being saved if another company owned the rights to the PVZ brand, and even if that did happen I personally believe they wouldn't see much reason in salvaging BFN at this point and would probably make a new shooter entirely.
Honestly this game wasn't that bad as people make it to be, though I think if they didn't announce it on the day it came out, that might have helped idk.
bfn is literally such a good game, it's sad the stupid whiny pvz fanbase loves to have something to hate on, i bet if the game was advertised better and had a lower price it could've been a success. crossplatform would REALLY help so much too
I agree. To me personally, it's fun being able pick online, private, or offline play. And the modes to me are pretty fun, whether it be simple get to 50 vanquishes or stop the storm machine that feels similar to TF2 with the payload, it has fun modes. And the classes are pretty fun. Attack, defense, support, or even swarm classes. Each character has their pro and con. While yes, no cross compatibility does kill a bit of the fun, it's still nice to be able to play against others nonetheless. I just hope that the next one is a bit better.
We can all wish for any game we enjoy to be saved. Believe me, I would have loved for BFN to be saved. But that era of PvZ FPS are gone. The games no longer seem profitable in the markets of today, and with Popcap Vancouver no longer functioning, the only thing we can really do is just enjoy what we have.

It basically split the fanbase in half with people who gave bfn a chance and others who were too stubborn to have patience. Based on the most recent events surrounding GW2’s so-called “campaign”, it looks like GW2 absorbed a lot of the toxicity and stubborn nature within the community, with the campaign having “demands” and lack of understanding that no one manages gw2 servers anymore, and just trying to ride off the coattails of the SaveTF2 movement. BFN players from my experience are legit just chill people who are willing to give chances, even during games where there is a clear loss. I’m not trying to say that anyone is toxic within the gw2 community, but just from a view, it’s pretty reasonable to see how aggressive some of the fanbase is and isn’t, and how that blocked some people’s vids from seeing potential. Either they see black and white, or they the greys in everything.

If it were ever possible I wish we could get this to work. I believe crossplay would be very interesting to keep the game alive. As for the bugs: I feel like they could do it in phases and tackle the more game-breaking glitches first like the Wizard soft lock glitch and the flying 80s, before moving on to lesser glitches and such.
A: The PVZ community makes a reflourished mod for this game. Albeit only playable with and against people who have the mod as well B: They buy BFN out of EA’s hands to hopefully dig this game out of the hole it’s parents shoved it into. C: They just make a fangame with similar gameplay to BFN.

i dont even want regular updates again. All i really want is the content that was almost near completion, and some of the switch features on other ports. This would def spice up the game without using too many recources.

The history of all the most inconvenient Bugs/Glitches/Features will be solved, especially that one game breaking bug allowing the wizard to softlock a Player/AI with ease. I was softlocked a couple times throughout playing giddy park. Just my advice, stay away from wizard players who are near character booths.
atleast a patch to fix glitches would be nice :c flying 80s, all speed glitches, a brainium nerf, removing the gnome buff in giddy, so many LITTLE things along with just releasing the unused/nearly-done stuff.. like cmon popcap, just get the damn janitor to do it and itll save bfn enough for you to come in and update it again like this video says
I had a friend group of 6 ppl. I am the last one to still play this masterpiece. I played the game for 300+ hours with joy and laugh.Every boss I do and did like year ago are still enjoyable and a big problem is that the game is paid at first place. New content will make game better 😔 🙏

Idk why they would bother to update bfn again when it did awful and when 99% of the fan base moved back to gw2 and gw1. I don’t think that PvZ will ever be popular again and definitely not the shooters. There’s not even a studio to fix bugs or add new content so there is no one to even do any of these things

I believe this game is a grave yard because in my eyes they made a bootleg overwatch/half assed pvz game that plays like garbage the glitches are funner than the actual game the players who play this game are just freaks and smile balls/corn balls and there biggest mastake is remove the variants
