I hope you realize what a absolutely wonderful gift that you gave your daughter. While the geodes are beautiful, the time and attention and love you lavished on your girl is priceless. 🎉❤🎉❤
@@midwesttraditions4375 its a total scam . 25 dollars per person .owner encouraged my to bring 10 lb hammer and 5 gallon bucket . two hours later fetched 6 marbles,
My great, great grandparents bought some property after the land run in Oklahoma took place. There were red rocks with white veins in the middle of the rock. We used to go to the old home place and pick up rocks and break them with a hammer. I still have some to this day.
Loved seeing that you let your daughter have a hands on experience with this - it's so important to allow them their inquisitive process. Some parents have to "do it right".... but then there's you really doing it right!!
That looks really fun and a great family activity being outdoors we find a lot of geodes here around Bloomington Indiana Lake Monroe almost all the Creeks have them
I have been there several times. Really good if you know what layer of rock to dig in. There is an 18 inch layer jammed packed with geodes. It is just above the hard grey shale layer. We filled several buckets in 4 hours.
Nice! We plan to go back soon! We will likely do a longer trip and hit 2 or 3 different mines while we're up there. I'll get the video up after that trip. Thanks for checking it out!
I got to admit you did the right thing cuz I was thinking how are you going to do do it without hurting baby girl you did it the way I crushed ice there's more to share God bless you
Awesome, about the same concept with digging for thundereggs here in Oregon... Love the huge Geodes, but can't find any that people want to sell anymore. Looks like you all had a blast, thanks for sharing this video.... May I share your video on my f/b rock site group? PS: Nice haul 😁...

So well said and I think the feeling was mutual for both of them.

@@midwesttraditions4375 , thank you ..
I used to be able to find crystals just about any worse but here of lately we haven't seen anything like that
It's a really good time!
What part of Missouri is this?
Northeast
I collected them on my Grandpa's farm
It would be so cool if we had them here in mid Missouri.... We're already planning another trip to the Iowa border!
Gadis kecil yang bersemangat🎉
Thanks for watching!
cracking geodes is like eating potato chips.
It's a good time.
Do not trust a kid to hit with hammer unless you want a broken hand or finger
Well, she swung the hammer... and no broken bones here! Raised her right!
Everyone who searches for geode crack them right on site
If you spray the mud off before breaking them, it's a much easier process!
