I’m not sure how I missed these, but I’m so happy this video turned up on my YT feed today! I’ve started watercolor painting in the past 6 months, so this hits a perfect “chord” for me! I’m going to save it so I can put it on a loop while painting 😊. Thanks!
I hear something new each time I listen ❤. Still love these pieces. Maybe one day I’ll actually be able to play them! In the meantime I’ll enjoy listening to you play, Anne
Oooo these are awesome. I really enjoyed Rose Madder and love the rhythms. I’m also an artist, and I will never look at color quite the same now that I have songs for so many colors!
@@annecrosbygaudetmusic I’ve never spoken to anyone who has this, but I’m an RN and I find this very interesting. So does each note produce a different color for you? Or is it more like a certain mode gives you one color such as Alizarin Crimson, or Rose Madder?
i bought a cheap harp for Christmas 2020 with not so good levers. if i can learn these delightful pieces by next Christmas. i will buy myself a new harp thankyou Anne for giving me inspiration
These are absolutely beautiful arrangements and are such a delight to play. I also like how the pieces take advantage of the range of a small harp, and show just how much you can do with 26 strings. Thank you very much, Anne!
Thank you, Holly. This was the first set of pieces that I composed back when I was starting with a basic little Harpsicle. Yes, a 26 string harp is filled with possibilities!
How can these be so beautiful! I actually changed my mind and order an 26 strings harp (instead of 22) after watching your channel so that I can play these beautiful pieces ;)
Thank you! I think it's easier to feel like you have enough strings when you are working with 26 instead of 22 strings. So glad you like the Watercolor on White pieces. I wrote them for myself to play when all I had was 26 strings and no levers.
Hi Anne! You mentioned this collection last week so I thought I'd check them out! I absolutely adore each and every one of them. I've listened to them several times! They're like short musical poems, maybe like "musical haikus." :) My skill level probably isn't quite up to playing them yet, but when I get to mid-intermediate level I will learn every single one of these. :)
It's interesting that you would assign a color to pieces that you composed. I have a strange question. When you listen to music, do you see different colors dancing around? [I forget what this is called} Your "Cerulean Blue" has splashes of yellow to me. And Andreas Vollenweider's CDs are a virtual rainbow. Listen to Caverna Magica.
That's synesthesia. It's more like I "feel" a color within the music. When I was little I definitely saw color when music was played. Color and music have always been closely related in my mind.
Hi Nicki, I used these pieces frequently in my harp therapy practice since I could play them easily on my small Christina therapy harp. I also made a UA-cam playlist of my favorite harp therapy sheet music selections: ua-cam.com/play/PLsxlgHIsMMzmAeN0sn7QSiSWbgcY-fNXH.html
Hi Srade, I always felt this was a good collection for elementary players to learn how to solve their own fingering. At one point I included suggested fingerings, but the current download has no fingering indications. I would recommend writing in the fingering and brackets. Let me know if you would like to check anything with me.
Thanks, Anne. I’ll purchase it and figure it out with my teacher. We are working on your Queen of the May. We are both so in love with it. And then First Snow

@@dianeb95 Nice! This was my first set of harp pieces that I wrote when I just had a small harpsicle 🥰 I love the music and color connection.
Love the 4ths harmony in Cobalt Turquoise! With a little touch of Asian flavour. Great !
Glad you like it! Sounds like you'd enjoy Indigo Cove as well! Here's the video link: ua-cam.com/video/7MhfXwZXKSg/v-deo.html

Just beautiful pieces! I have been playing these for several years and have used them for many occasions. Thank you, Anne!

I have synesthesia so color and music just fit together for me.

I'm going to post this in my Watercolor group! They will love it.... Great idea!
Nice! I have synesthesia so the idea of music and color working together just makes sense!

I actually composed those pieces on my very first little harp and it had no levers at all. That sounds like a wonderful goal!
Stepping back in time today. I like this very much. Beautiful
Stunning! I love them, well done Anne.

Beautiful. soul awakes, I can feel my heart a life.
Lovely, thank you so much!
Nice songs, fills a need for so many.
Thank-you!
Such a nice collection!
Amelia Gerlach Thank you, that was my first set of original pieces 😊
@@annecrosbygaudetmusic I love how these can be easily played on a therapy harp!

I love the harp! 😊💎
Me too!
I will definitely be purchasing this set!
Thank you, hope you enjoy them!
I have just purchased this. I’m Nancy from Spain. Thank you! Looking forward to playing them.
Srade Farras Thank you! I have always connected music and color so these were fun pieces to create. Enjoy!
No way, hahaha. I am Nancy from Spain! 😂 I can't believe there are two of us

Ah yes, they are like little poems! I love that thought!
Sooooo schön
Thank you so much!
So beautiful ❤️🌷
Thank you, Kristine!
Just purchased these, love them. I will have fun working on these.
Good for those reading skills! Here's my synesthesia at work!
Gosh I got these three years ago, I am so happy to return to them with improved skills.
Thank you for beautiful arrangement. Are they for 22 string harp?
You're welcome, these pieces fit 25/26 strings (bass C should be your lowest string).

Hello Anne
How can I get these music sheets that you’re playing call him orange?
Thank you 🙏
Sincerely Linda

Are these pieces also suitable for harp therapy? Maybe the slower ones? I am Nicki from Greece. Looking forward to your reply.
