Be I’ll literally the only listenable track the rest is just there to sell Physical copies. Your "God" Rakim just fucked yall over with them high priced pre orders 😂😂
Bro I think you are not smart or you really lack intelligence. Sometimes before you come talk as a reviewer which we believe you are, do your research. This Album by Rakim is an album of him as a Producer, they specified on the cut! Not on the mic. Later on, there's an album by him as an emcee coming out. When you are not knowledgeable you should not inform, because it's just misinforming. I think those beats are great and the bit if verses he layed are awesome. We all want bars fir Rakim and Rakim only in a Rakim album. But once again, he said, he wanted to produce an album from a perspective of a producer, meaning cooking like dre and primo to showcase that side of his talent.
@peteyalyanak agreed, it was mumble rap but with bigger words, they sacrificed every other essence of the music just to try to fit as many words in as they could
Y'all reviews ain't computing. The name of the project is called "The God's NETWORK". And clearly stated on the press run that it is to showcase HIS production skills/scratching, and a particular type of HIP HOP (boom bap beats, lyricism/wordplay), via FEATURED emcees in his NETWORK. Since that was the assignment he NAILED it. That's like your name is Chance Jolivette and you featured someone on your platform to offer their thoughts and opinions, but your audience is like why YOU not speaking and why are THEY there. Reading and comprehension people. Apply that.
@CharlieChopizi well my brotha everybody didn't follow a press run, and I just seen the project and listened and my ears still work, I wanted to hear rakim there was no rakim and a lot of the features were wack it was so many mc's one or 2 might be nice and the other 2 would be terrible and keep it 100 he not dr dre or kanue so the production wasn't the greatest so I stand by my rating, and my name is chance jolivette and I'M THE ONE doing content on my channel sooooo I really dont understand your metaphor but thanks for watching i'm happy that you enjoy the project, i'm not going to say you wack or stupid for that, I do not like it, I want to hear rakim on a rakim project but thanks for the input
@@ChanceJolivette Respect to your channel. Some things are not for everyone and that's all good. There has simply been a lot of mislabeling of this project on your platform as a Rakim full album with him emceeing. This is FALSE and the only discrepancy. But I appreciate your time.
My personal opinion is he should of used multiple old school producers. Premier, Havoc, Q Tip etc.. no features unless it was Eric B. LL Cool J upgraded Rakim kinda fell off.
@ChanceJolivette Ra is working on a full project with DJ Jazzy Jeff with production from Premo, and I believe Pete Rock as well dropping later this year or next year.
@AmariMarvelous that's what's up, if he drops it I'll be sure to check it out, probably do a other review, as long as he rapping it should get a better reception from me
@angrykidmedia9213 I would hope not, no matter if it's rakim that would be wack as hell, I think they're real because he has connections to dre on the west and he a God in the east so I'm sure he got unreleased verses
@DjEgyptE or at least 1 verse per song, he didn't even deliver that and it's only 7 songs, u can produce and rhyme, Dr dre, kanye, j cole, etc showed its possible
@righteousshadowsdojopt.3979 lol for real, these oldschool hip-hop heads coming here cussing me out like I'm tripping, I wanted to like it but the shut just not good, nobody wanna hear rakim beats, we came to see if he could still spit 🤷🏾♂️
@charlesbrown3056 I was born in 82 I know what HIPHOP is I didn't grow up listening to Kodak Black, I'm judging it off my ears, do I want to hear a 1980's beat in 2024.....NO, if rakim was rapping on it MAYBE, but no I did not like this project but if it makes u feel any better I don't like dj mustard, or dj Khaled type projects either I don't like to hear a bunch of shit cluttered together, I rather listen to a j cole album with only him than an album with 30 mc's so sorry my taste isn't the same as yours or I'm not fanning out over the sheer fact that it's Rakim
@charlesbrown3056 I just now mentioned, beats and half of the guest appearances, IN MY OPINION, my opinion isn't the only one that matters but that is my review u not gonna change my mind and I'm not trying to cha get yours I hope you love the project and u can listen to it on repeat, I will not
@charlesbrown3056 I wear em all I have 1-13 15-19 and 30-38, my musical taste from 88 to 2024 is not the same I liked Mc hammer, im not jamming that now I like j cole etc. And if rakim was rapping I might have liked the project if he still was rapping good but I don't want to hear a lot of the other mc's that were on this project my brother
Nigga u talking about articulate u talking a bunch of mumbo jumbo, yes I LOVE Sade music it's timeless, u act like I'm dissing paid in full, no I'm not dissing rakim's timeless catalog, I do not like THIS project and a 60 year old brotha learning production trying to recreate 80's beats with a bunch of wack mc's
I was going to hear this project but after seeing all the features...i'll pass. i guess because ra hasn't rapped in a long time he's probably rusty so he needed all these group of active rappers to carry the album for him...bummer. what a shame cuz i was excited to hear ra after all these yrs but i guess it ain't what we thought it would be.
@@ChanceJolivette yea i just finished hearing the project, awful, by far his worst project. far too many features, medicore dated production and more of an EP in disguise rather than an album. i hate saying that cuz it's taboo to talk bad about ra but it is what it is, it's his worst project. to me, ra's first 5 were his best wit the first 2 being his magnum opus.
Rakim has nothing else to prove. The album is hot

@JMji23 that's your opinion, even judging this off the emcees rapping and the beats this shit mediocre but have a great weekend
every beat on this album was fire from rakim. this ep was dope.
Absolutely
those Canibus and Chino XL verses are legitimately terrible 🤦♂️
@peteyalyanak agreed, it was mumble rap but with bigger words, they sacrificed every other essence of the music just to try to fit as many words in as they could
Ummmm……….No
Chino was alright 🤷🏾♂️
@rodscott7360 terrible that shit was cluttered up, but just my opinion glad u like it

@daviddenham8147 that's fine, album still not good
I like short albums but wanna hear the main artist a lot more than I did on this one.

For sho I didn't mislabel it that, that was my expectations, other than that I just spoke on what I actually heard
This isn't traditional boom bap. This is slick modern production, heavily layered with various instrumentation.
My personal opinion is he should of used multiple old school producers. Premier, Havoc, Q Tip etc.. no features unless it was Eric B. LL Cool J upgraded Rakim kinda fell off.
@stackmosayless-1669 well rakim produced the whole thing he wanted to show off his production, that's cool but his ass shoulda rapped too tho

Check out his interview with TMZ it will explain everything about this album
I think the nipsey hussle and prodigy verses are ai. Rakim said it's a producer album.

The verses are not ai generated. Those were verses that were held in the vault that the a&r M80 collected
@@ChanceJolivette Yeah, I agree.

Rakim did all the production beats scratches on the album
@rodneycarnes1509 that's dope, I don't think many rakim fans came to a rakim album looking for his production
And it felt super dated, ra should stick to rappin not producing.
