28:48 There is a whole entire history behind the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Extremadura, and the statue was actually carved by St. Luke, and brought from Constantinople to Pope St. Gregory the Great who gave it to San Leandro in Sevilla. When the Moors invaded, it was taken and hidden for many centuries. There are many many miracles associated with the miraculous statue, and Guadalupe in Extremadura was a place of pilgrimage. In fact, this is where Christopher Columbus , Colón, went to pray before his voyage to America!
I am sorry but the people shown in the eye of Quadalupe is NOT PEOPLE! ! But it is the Brush Strokes from painting the face and eyes when they made the painting of Quadalupe!This is a close up view and it looks like it was painted on Canvas! When other parts of the image of Quadalupe are looked at close up you can see the Brush Strokes also!Let us be real here! The image of Our Lady of Quadalupe is actually a pretty Painting! And that is all! Just a pretty Painting! ! !
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is certainly open to debate. However, the image is not on canvas, and most people would agree with this assessment (this includes those who had the opportunity to study it). Most people agree that is on a tilma, which is made mostly of cactus fibers. The coloring of the image does not resemble brush strokes -- Dr. Phillip Callahan, a University of Florida biophysicist, who studied the image closely, said there are no brush strokes and the coloring does not resemble paint so much as it resembles coloring we observe in nature (such as butterfly wings).
