hi i'm from germany i love your channel. this is what we need in this crazy carp fishing time. all new anglers are blind with big Companys and no one thing back to the roots. but your channel change this thumbs up i hope my english is right and you all understand it ;-))) greats from germany
This is even more evident in somewhere like here in NZ where everything has to be imported and there are next to zero local suppliers! so making your own stuff like this is essential.
I've used this as a spod mix, exclusively with your strawberry/corn attractant this season. Caught every session, with several mid 20's. A very cheap, successful groundbait. Highly recommended.
Making my first batch as i write this. Very simple way to make your own particle mix and its a hell of a lot cheaper then the premade stuff at the local fishing store. Gonna make some feeding spots with the spod rod and hopefully catch some nice fish.
@baitvault @carpers Great vid to give anglers ideas. Used bird mix/chicks/corn as main bulk for many years now cheap& efficient just use your imagination & make it even more individual be different. Tip:- Molasses carp love it On your venue how many anglers use it?
used this last weekend and it worked wonderfully and much better then I thought I had a couple of low doubles and a mid 20 mirror and then 6 small ones about 7 to 9 pounds thanks heap this will be one of my most used baits from now on and can you do a pva stick mix and more bait vids thanks
+patrick woodworth Glad to hear you had sucess with my recipe. Adding garlic powder to the mix gives it an edge too. Yes I will do some pva stick baits for you soon as I have 2 that are very productive. I have been under the weather for the last week hence the delay in the vids. Hopefully I will have another ready to upload in the next few days.
+Bait Vault yet again another great and cheap way to make Ground bait !!! i'll be doing this tonight but once i'm on the bankside i will add hemp and red maggots to the mix :D
Don't poor the juice away, use it !!! After cooking I always poor the "juice" in a water-canister. I always cook about 10 - 15 kg particle at a time so there is always a lot of juice left. When I go fishing and use my boat to put the bait in place I not only feed the particles, and boilies, but poor the juice from the canister into the lake. This gives a really big, atraktive cloud which brings in the fish from bigger distances and keeps them longer on the spot. Try it, you'll see. Greetings from the Cech Republic.
Great video!! I am from the USA. How can I use the mix you describe? Pre-baiting? How can I use it as a packbait on a method lead. How do you use it? Thanks!
That looks good. As a beginner, I’d be interested to know what hook bait you’d recommend to compliment the mix, and also how you get this stuff into the swim.... can’t imagine it will work too well with a method feeder?
I use near enough same chick pea as hook bait but to mix I add 3 good pinches fine Himalayan pink rock salt as this is natural leave for a few mins and it's pva friendly also preserves mix longer
This looks great... Do you think cooking it in salt would make it PVA friendly? Would the saltieness take a way from its effectiveness/put off the carp in any way??
I use a small baiting spoon + adj landing net handle and spread my bait(5-10spoons 2 start depends on area/spot chosen)using a side cast action. I always rest my swim 2-4hrs still baiting (time of resting & how many spoons/how often you will work out)
Hi would love it if your could reply I'm looking for a little advice. If I made up a particle cloudy spod mix would it still work as well if I hand throw it into the margins. I've never used a spod mix or spodded before so clueless as to weather I'm wasting my time making one up to throw in by hand if it's not going to work. Thanks in advance
Depending on how much liquid is soaked up into your bait. It will add weight to your seed. Best to make a kg up and weigh the finished mix then if you keep using the same seed you will know how much to add for your desired weight.
Soy de España, y mi pregunta es la siguiente, al incorporar el aroma de fresa no estás matando el aroma de todas las semillas?? por lo tanto no sirven para nada las semillas ya que todo huele a fresa.
+Joshua Stripp Yes its fine!! As long as its prepared properly. Soak and then boil. Pigeon Conditoner is a top particle bait. Just google pigeon conditioner or seed for carp to see other anglers sucess story's with this bait.
That's problem a lot people don't prepare as video suggest. I prefer to soak my baits over night or longer and boil for at least 30 mins with couple garlic cloves in.. I make lot garlic hemp so much more cheaper..
Putting salt in before cooking will result in the seeds taking longer to cook. Put it in afterwards. Although there's probably enough salt in the corn and chickpea water.
Salt may toughen up the hulls of the seeds like beans when cooked ......also important to note One shouldn't use chlorinated tap water for such a bait.
Hi I've just made this but it's gone quite lumpy and hard it's doesn't run through my fingers like your does any advise on why this has happened thanks in advance
@liambrookes mate easier than you think!!! Take out some mix put in tub/bucket and simply add SUNFLOWER OIL. I also add some to feed mix(not as much). Great thing is when fish feed on bait a oil slick rises to surface great indicator. Little tip use as a glug to
Hi yes you can. Boilies that you are using as hookbait is a good addition to compliment the mix. Also boilies that have been left over from a previous fishing trip will help bulk up the mix too.
I done that with my ground bait mix the other day, lol it was too plain so I crushed 4 of each pop ups and some boilies, they were squid and octopus, strawberry, coconut ice and vanilla something. baited up again and cast into the margins and dashed what little I had left of my ground bait around where my hook was and I had a bream with in not even 5 minutes shame it wasn’t a carp but oh well better than blanking I guess lol 😂 EDIT: did not see this was 4 years ago and also I wasn’t using this ground bait mix that’s why it was too plain
Salty water helps. I've dried tiger nuts with a towel and then coat them in a salty water before putting them in PVA. I guess you could try a salty water in this seed mix and see what happens. Worth a try on a small batch. ua-cam.com/video/DwwI321xUIQ/v-deo.html
@jimmytwogunz Put some in separate tub/bucket & add sunflower oil. PVA friendly & when fish are feeding the oil rises forming a slick....great indicator mate
Hi! it is a great video, and it looks to be very good product. My english is not good enough, so... Can you please write the ingredients you used? Thank you!
Hi made up a mix and put it in the fridge, how long will it stay fresh? I added strawberry milkshake powder during soak and boil. Will this compromise how long it stays fresh? Can I freeze it. Thanks
20 kg sack of pigeon feed ,20 kg sack of vitalin ,a few tins of chick peas, 20 kg sack of hemp and a 5kg sack of maples, all of which can be bought from a seed merchant. Initial outlay will cost a bit but will last a long time depepending on how many times you go, I forgot to add a 5kg sack of maize on that list. You also have a few different hookbait options
Bait Vault+ think I'm going to do another batch of this but i'll add 2 Tins of Tuna to it when it cools down! might work a treat also some Help oil and Garlic ... tho i won't add strawberry to it Lol .. What i'll do it make two lost of this! one Tuna Base Mix and the other Tuti fruity based and spod it in to places and put one rod on each spod and see how it goes :) might blank but worth a try.

What would you use on a hook alongside with this spod?
@@mrsage4489 I mostly fished a 14ml mainline impact boilie, with a mainline pineapple topper as a balanced bait .
@@richardtofts4977 Thanks
A good all round mix, I add hemp, and a good glug of salt. Works for me and so cheap to make.
Used this the other day and I could see how much the carp LOVE this bait! Thanks for the tip! Caught 2 double figures carp 👌
I used this bait a few weeks ago works well cheers....
Making my first batch as i write this. Very simple way to make your own particle mix and its a hell of a lot cheaper then the premade stuff at the local fishing store. Gonna make some feeding spots with the spod rod and hopefully catch some nice fish.
Excellent 👋👋👋👍
I im going to try this is it ok for pva bags thanks
Yes but Only if you boil it in salt water
@baitvault @carpers

What did you use as a hookbait?
Nice bait for carp fish. Nice video.
I would add some flavourings with the boiling water perfect time for the
particles to soak it up,,
Amino or betain with a few handfuls of salt
cheers mate!

Great vid got to try this sometime, what's your carp pb?
If you want hemp thought this could you add raw hemp with the birdseed to cook/soak though or do you have to cook/soak separately?.
This looks great... Do you think cooking it in salt would make it PVA friendly? Would the saltieness take a way from its effectiveness/put off the carp in any way??
Super
Hi Bait Vaul.
I can only find parrot food in Vietnam that are big enough. But they have sunflower seeds. Will it work with this recipe?
Hi mate love the video. How would you turn that mix into a method feeder bait so its nice and sticky?
Let the mix sit for 24 hours after cooking and it's basically good to go.
Nice
We can put some garlic powder instead jelly?
have you or gonna do a vid on amino acids and how to make them mate
How are you supposed to put that on a hook ???
Is it just Powder to make jello?
Can I use this is pva bags
How would you feed your swim if your to close for spodding but to far to throw them in
+Shaun Bone You could use a bait catapult ;)
I use a small baiting spoon + adj landing net handle and spread my bait(5-10spoons 2 start depends on area/spot chosen)using a side cast action. I always rest my swim 2-4hrs still baiting (time of resting & how many spoons/how often you will work out)
Could I cook in a pressure cooker
Good vids mate, can we expect some new ones soon?
I'm working on one to be published for this week.

Yes it will be fine
is this good for all round fishing for course fish?
Can you recommend anything other than bird seed as the base as my lakes don't allow seed. Cheers
@Dave Reeve the seeds are boiled so they don’t germinate so the lake shouldn’t have any problem it would act as any other bait
good video, if i boil 2kg of bird seed will that expand to like 3kg or so? thanks
Depending on how much liquid is soaked up into your bait. It will add weight to your seed. Best to make a kg up and weigh the finished mix then if you keep using the same seed you will know how much to add for your desired weight.
OK thanks
can i add some vanilla sugar into it and when is the best part to put it ?
Soy de España, y mi pregunta es la siguiente, al incorporar el aroma de fresa no estás matando el aroma de todas las semillas?? por lo tanto no sirven para nada las semillas ya que todo huele a fresa.
Do more videos 👌
Great video, followed the steps, mine did not come out as sticky and shiny , any ideas why
+Simon Hedges It could be the jelly or even the water content. You can fix it by adding a little hot water and some white sugar.
Thanks
Thanks
I've spoken to a few people in tackle shops and they've advised me against using bird seed. Is this mix safe for all fish if prepared properly?
+Joshua Stripp Yes its fine!! As long as its prepared properly. Soak and then boil. Pigeon Conditoner is a top particle bait. Just google pigeon conditioner or seed for carp to see other anglers sucess story's with this bait.

Possibly saying that so you don’t make your own dirt cheap bait and instead buy their own expensive stuff?
I have a bunch of questions about winter carp fishing on location I have a waste water treatment plant near by please help
+Unknown What questions do you wish to ask. I may be able to help!
if i added salt to this which part would be best put it in at
I would put it in at the end or whilst everything has finished cooking.
Putting salt in before cooking will result in the seeds taking longer to cook. Put it in afterwards. Although there's probably enough salt in the corn and chickpea water.

Can this be frozen after? If not how long can it stay in a bucket :)
Yes i freeze mine and alls good with it .

Just part of the cooling process. Just adding water will lossen the mix up 👍

What can I add to this to make it sticky. So I can roll them in to balls?

try some horlicks thats what i tend to use in some method mixes 👍
Could I freeze this after iv made it?
You sure can.
Hi! it is a great video, and it looks to be very good product.
My english is not good enough, so...
Can you please write the ingredients you used?

Bird seed, chick peas, strawberry jelly powder, sweetcorn (all contents of tin)
I hope that helps
How can I use it?
Hi made up a mix and put it in the fridge, how long will it stay fresh? I added strawberry milkshake powder during soak and boil. Will this compromise how long it stays fresh? Can I freeze it. Thanks
+mark boundford It will keep for 2 to 3 days. Yes you can freeze it ;)

where do u get ur seed from
In this video I got mine in a supermarket, however it is just a standard bag of bird seed which you can find in garden centres etc
Ok cheers
How can I colour my luncheon meat thanks
A good natural colour for a lot of baits is beetroot powder! That's if your looking for a bright pink/red colour
