  • When I have crossed a boundary in sexual sin, it is hard not to give up afterwards. My mind tells me that I have already failed, so it doesn't matter if I try to be pure in that area of failure in the future. It feels like there is no going back with sexual sin. I know this is a lie, but it feels like the truth. Even though I believe God forgives me, I still failed.

I think what hurts women and some men too is that you can never give yourself to your husband and wife for the first time after having premarital sex. Like we know that God forgives in the confessional, but people can never truly say they are “virgins” no matter how dignified we are in Christ. It hurts that God can forgive but He doesn’t take that experience out of their history.

Comments like this make me proud to be a virgin! (all women look at me with disgust)

Sometimes it's just biology. Our hormones aren't fine tuned for modern life to say the least!
