I am from Brazil, and have more details to tell about this case. Bare with me.
Back in 2002 I was a student at UFPR, a federal university in the South of Brazil, and we had a class with a visiting professor from Unicamp, a university of São Paulo , to where the creatures were taken. He told us students , after his class, that none of what he was teaching us had any importance (veterinary medicine, he was a phisiology professor), but that we pay close attention to what he was going to tell. He said that the whole story of the Varginha case was true, that he was at the university when the creatures were taken there, that Unicamp was closed, the whole floor of the pathology department was used to try to keep one of the creatures alive, that they tried to feed it with all different kinds of food. It was a period of final semester exams, and all classes were cancelled. The American military came right away, and took over the operation, and took away the bodies and wreckage of the ship. I was in shock to learn that, because I did remember the incident back from 96, but it was so heavely mocked by the press that everyone just forgot about it, or wouldn't dare talk about it for fear of ridicule. The girls who saw the creature were very naive and innocent, they said "we saw the devil". The young man who captured the criature with his bare hands died a few days later.
Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the visiting professor, but I am sure he was telling the truth, there is no way he would risk his reputation if it weren't true.
He was so serious telling us to learn about things that were hidden from the public.
And that was the day aliens became a great interest of mine.
I hope Joe Rogan gets Marco Petit on the show to talk about another huge , huge case in Brazil, the Colares case from 77-78, in the Amazon jungle.

Also, i remember he did mention that prior to the crash, an enginneer was travelling by the road ,like autobahn, and saw the silver cigar shape object apparentely damaged and losing altitude, and drove to the local of the crash. He got there and saw the paper thin silver material, grabed some and wrap it , and the material return to its original shape. He said the military came right away and rushed him off the site.

I remember when this happened. I was a child in 1996, Brazilian, and living in Brazil, so you guys can imagine how excited I was when the TV reported that a real alien was captured in a nearby town. At the time, I lived a couple hundred miles away from Varginha.
I always tell people that the one thing I'm sure about Varginha is that, whatever it was, the military itself also thought it was alien at first. I remember vividly a hot summer Saturday, live TV footage of military trucks loaded with dozens of soldiers rolling into a small random town. Police, Fire Department, and military crews pacing back and forth, closing down streets and an entire hospital floor.
Years later, they'd say the investigations concluded the girls had actually seen a local mentally disabled homeless man crouched in the grass, but then what was all that fuss about? The entire country saw the heavy military presence in that small and unremarkable town. Something very extraordinary happened that day, or at least everyone believed so, including the authorities.

I'm brazilian, something really happened back then I tought this event was internationally recognized already. It deserves more attention. The problem is people started mocking around about it, so nowadays very few people compreheend how real it was. I guess this is due to intentional misinformation propagation by media. It is the most important ufology story of the world, ever. Look out for ufologists whom investigated this here in Brazil: Marco Antônio Petit (still living) and Claudeir Covo (deceased already).

I witnessed The Phoenix lights. It's a real phenomenon and it's out there. To this day people still call me crazy. My whole immediate family and tons of people on the street we lived on saw the aircraft come overhead. We all stood there speechless and terrified until it passed then the whole block freaked out. Nobody will ever convince me it was flairs. We all saw the outline and structure of the craft clearly. It was so big and slow it was amazing it was staying in the air. My hair still stands on end even thinking about it right now.
I stopped caring if anyone believed me a looong time ago. Unless you're one of the 15 or so people in my neighborhood who watched it with us, your account is probably going to be a little different than ours. Most people saw it from a distance and from different angles. We saw it directly overhead and dead on.
This thing was absolutely massive it did not look like anything man made. it was a least a mile wide. It could have easily been miles wide. The underside was covered in structural parts that looked bigger than buildings. Like hundreds of them just from our perspective. It's wasn't smooth and sleek like a typical aircraft.

The 1952 Washington D.C. UFO incident was wild. There are very reliable and plentiful eyewitness accounts and tons of radar tracking from the east coast all the way to the Midwest. Several craft hovered above the capital building in formation. They violated the most well-protected airspace in the most powerful country on earth with impunity. The fighters sent after them described the UFOs fleeing at impossible speed and acceleration when they approached. They were tracked on radar from DC to the midwest by various airports and military bases moving at incredible speed. Then they went straight up and out of our atmosphere.
I think it was their attempt to make contact or at least say, "Hello".
If you are unaware, look it up. It cannot be debunked and that technology was most certainly not available to humans at that time(nowadays, who knows what kinda black budget reverse engineering programs governments have going). For those reasons, I consider it the most important UFO event ever.

When I was a kid, a group of us use to play near a wooded area that was being cleared for a shopping center. We saw brown bears with white patches and reported it. They told us that bears wouldn’t be in that area, especially the color that we described. The developers had people threaten us kids that we would be arrested for trespassing and are parents would be sued if they had to stop their project. The sheriff came to our school and urged us to recant our stories, and our parents were advised us to keep us away.
Years later after the shopping center and condos were built, residents started having issues with bears targeting trash cans and cars. After a close call with a mother and her toddler, they discovered a significant number of bears living in the uncleared area.
My point to this long story, if this is how they act with a bear, imagine if it was an alien.

I'm from Brazil too and wouldn't believe those stories until I saw a ship from my apartment back in 2021. I lived in Laranjeiras neighborhood at Rio de Janeiro and its a highly populated area. One night I was talking to my friends on Discord and noticed something weird from my window, when I got to the balcony I saw 3 lights over the hills. I kept staring at it while chatting and suddenly a light string came down from the original spotlights. The light just started dancing (just like old sound systems that the bars go up and down). At that moment I started screaming because I couldn't believe my eyes. I noticed two things at that moment, one was that my neighbors were all astonished locking at the windows too and the second thing was that I could see the side of the ship. Its seems like polished silver or a mirror and the whole airship can get translucent in a moment. The metal part just would appear and disappear at the blink of an eye. And it disappeared completely after maybe less than 10 minutes. To make sure I wasn't crazy I called my neighbor and he saw it too. I took some photos of the light but couldn't record it properly because of beeing in panic (maybe thats the reason why most people can't register the sightings) and also the lights are difficult to capture. Also from the photo I used Autocad to estimate the size of the ship comparing to the building bellow it, so it shoud be at least 50 meters high (could be way bigger because of perspective). And one thing that made me think is why a ship this size cant be seen, and its because they donr make a sound and can get invisible. Also I started searching for references online to understand a bit more and those 3 lights have plenty of sightings worldwide. They have been widely shown on some History Channel UFO episodes. Thats it... for sure there are more on this existence than our daily routines and a lot of people already knows it but probably cant comprehend further just like what I report here.

@Atlas79115 I believe Dan Akyroyd's episode stands as one of my top 5 all-time because of how prepared he came and how enthusiastic he is about the paranormal and UAPs. I said to my dad about 8 years ago, when I first read about the whole Zimbabwe 1994 elementary school kids who all saw the same flying space crafts land and take off from behind their school in a field. I said "I think in the next 10 years the US government will release some of the evidence with these UAPs and UFOs sighted by US government agents and officials."
He just shook his head and said, "Probably not even then."
Well, I was right. The government has been releasing stuff. However, while it could be alien in nature, it could also be the US government gearing up to announce that they have been the ones producing some of these aliens flying crafts. Imagine if we see these kinds of flying crafts in the public in a few year?
Also, Two of the older girls have never gone back on what they said they saw that day.
They were the two closest to the things.
They said they saw a large, tall, big, black-eyed greyish alien (aka The Greys) come out of a bush limping, and talked to them telepathically for a short time, with them being frozen in their spots. It then was aided by another flying saucer-shaped object and another one came out and got the hurt one out of there before turning to the girls and telling them, in their minds, to run away.
Dan also said that the former Harvard psychologist John Mack was there and interviewed the kids and said that they were being very open and honest about what they'd seen.

The most impressive ufo case in Brazil was the operação Prato " plate operation" where militars were sent to investigate mysterious lights that were supposedly attacking people in a small village in the Amazon. Some of the people who are at risk to their reputation if they come forward. I really really love this case as every Brazilian do but it's basically a meme here because the reality is 3 kids saw a very weird looking guy trying to not get wet by the rain lol, NOT in broad daylight as he said but through heavy rain/wind and it was considerably dark outside because of it... There are a lot more stuff that the documentary either completely ignored or lied about that when you see you realize it's just kids being scared.. that being said I love watching documentaries about it and it's a very very fun story hahahaha for a more serious one y'all can search "Operação Prato"

Hey my friend. What I'm going to tell you I've already related to some people who just made fun of me. I live in Manaus city in Amazonas/Brazil, right in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.
I worked fixing tv just in 2019 and I covered an area that goes from my city to a small municipality called Iranduba. If you put these names on google maps you will see that they are real places.
The job wasn't the best, but it paid very well. We traveled by canoe, boats and rafts to small villages within this territory called iranduba which, by the way, is an island.
I can't say the exact day, but it doesn't really matter, because the facts that matter I will relate now.
We were returning from a village called paricatuba where there is one of the oldest ruins in brazil. Which is where the first hospice created around here used to be. The trip was normal, at that time my cell phone was addicted because I was charging it in the car and our car had a bad battery which meant that we were often stuck alone in the middle of nowhere.
It was around 17:50 the sun was setting on the left side of the road towards Manaus. I used to make stories to post on instagram and this resulted in my phone almost always being discharged. However, my partner's cell phone even looks like it had an atomic battery because it was never low.
It was then that close to the Iranduba point I asked my partner why the sun was on our side and in front of us at the same time. In that we froze and we got goosebumps instantly, despite having other cars on that road it seemed that no one had noticed but us.
A sphere on fire and rotating on its own axis was in front of us at about 20 meters and quickly it ended up on our right side at about ten meters. The ball was like live fire, it followed our case for about two minutes and entered in the direction of a trail in the woods.
We followed her as far as she could, mysteriously my friend's cell phone had no battery. We got out of the car and continued in the middle of the forest for a short period until we saw the sphere of fire entering the Solimões river, which is blacker than the universe itself. What was this? To this day, I don't know, but my work partner and I were always thought of as crazy.

It's incredible to think that even after more than 25 years, the "Brazil's Roswell" incident remains a mystery. The personal accounts of witnesses, like the girls who came face-to-face with the creature, the doctor who took X-rays, and the military officer who drove the creature around, add a fascinating layer of authenticity to this enigmatic event. These people were brave enough to come forward and share their experiences, despite the potential backlash and ridicule they might face. The consistency in their stories, from the unforgettable stench to the military's strange behavior, only fuels the intrigue. It's important to remember that many of these individuals didn't seek fame or attention; they were tracked down and begged to share their stories. Regardless of one's personal beliefs about extraterrestrial life, it's hard to deny that something truly extraordinary took place in Brazil all those years ago.

I’m a believer. My story comes from my mom, who I truly believe. Not because she is just my mom; but because I’ve seen her tell us the story over and over and over and recently something brought even more credibility to her story.
Story goes: back in the late 70’s/early 80’s she was in her young 20’s and was on a date with a guy. Wasn’t a serious relationship, just basically a short fling according to her.
On their drive home, at night, they saw an odd craft with bright colored lights and what appeared to be shiny metal hovering. It was odd enough to where the guy slowed to a stop and basically looked at her and they looked at each other and he kind of was the first to say, don’t look now 👀 but is that a UFO ? And they got out of the car, and roughly 5 other cars stopped and all got out and were in shock staring at it.
Then it made an intense sound and flash of light and disappeared and then reappeared in a snap on the other side of the sky as far as they could see. Then hovered there, did the same thing, then disappeared again and was gone.
She said everyone was just blown away and speechless. And she said to the guy she was with; “should we call the police” and he said, “what would they honestly do”? “And they’d probably think we were crazy” and that was it. They got back in, left and drove home and then not too long after that they stopped talking and never saw each other again.
Well she’s been telling my brother and I that story since we were young kids as well as my Dad. We always pretty much believed her but shrugged it off like: ya maybe it happened, maybe it didn’t, maybe they were all high lol 😆, or maybe they just saw something that had an explanation.
Well over 40 years later my mom decided to look that guy up on Facebook and shoot him a message. And basically writes the guy: “hey not sure if you remember me from back in the day, but have you ever thought about what we saw that night”? Mom is 66 yrs old now.
After not talking for 40 plus years- the guys response was:
“I’ve thought about it everyday of my life”
And that just blew my socks off and sent a chill down my spine.
All I can say is, I believe. And logically it kind of makes sense there is other life in the universe.
(I edited to add this: to the sick freaks of the world- No I’m not 40, and when my mom reconnected with the guy on Facebook, she was surprised to find out that he was a retired police officer now) also the location of the incident was near Braintree MA, it was off the road in either the hills or small mountains of some funky name I don’t know how to spell: like Chicatoba mountains or something. You take it how you want. Believe it if you want or don’t, but I’m just sharing what I’ve been told my whole life, and now verified by a complete stranger 40 years later, and I have nothing to gain by making this up. But that’s you to decide.

I'm Brazilian and this case is undoubtedly one of the most interesting in the country. not because of the story itself (which could be a lie) but because of the solid facts that happened:
the policeman who had been scratched died of a generalized infection and the report was only released a YEAR later with missing pages.
the hospital where the creature was taken was closed the next day with the incredible excuse that it was because a dwarf couple was giving birth
And the city zoo lost 3 animals qith the same simptoms of the policeman.

The way the authorities found to dismiss this real (in my opinion) case was to incentive people to mock and make jokes about the event and people involved. Which was not difficult, because Brazilians usually make fun of everything, even with their disgraced situation. The city authorities also realized that this case was a chance to raise money with tourism, so that also helped to undermine the case, unfortunately. I feel sorry for the people involved. Interesting how they still managed to make some "documentaries" about it, without giving any real clue or even doing serious investigation; they are masters of manipulation. In the end, those who took it seriously got stuck on a dead end and the rest of the population just made fun of it and moved forward mindlessly, as usual.

We are in the midst of disclosure. One night back in 2016 I had just gotten back to my dads house after visiting some good friends and I saw a ufo. It was just after midnight, maybe close to 1am. I step out of my car and look up in the sky and there was this giant black triangular craft floating through the air. It was unusually close to the ground and it was moving very fast. I was totally in shock. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The craziest part was that it didn’t make a sound. It was dead silent. The way I felt seeing something so large move so fast and so close to the ground and not make even a trace of a sound was the weirdest shit of my life. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I still have a hard time believing it even though it happened right in front of my eyes. I instantly felt like a rat in a maze. I went inside and googled black triangle ufos. I learned that night that those are the most commonly reported ufos. People tell me it was government stealth bomber, but it wasn’t. There were no lights and it was an equilateral triangle, which isn’t what stealth bombers look like. And why would there be a stealth bobber over my suburban neighborhood? It makes no sense. It was truly insane.

They could have a social structure, but it might be completely foreign to us. Also, as I said earlier, splitting up isn't entirely illogical considering they could cover more ground than if they were together. A good chunk of why human beings stick together isn't just for pragmatic reasons, it's because we feel fear and we feel more comfortable not being isolated. Not to mention the fact that we don't even know how they communicate. It could be telepathy or something we have no concept of. In general though, I would agree that there are more questions and basically no answers.
