Oh my God I know right I was thinking the same thing I just came back here to reminisce about the first time I started watching this back in 2015 It was good times. I have good memories with this anime and the cards from it but then I see it’s been almost 9 years good God it’s crazy when I think about it!
Who's here feeling nostalgic about Vanguard G now that Zero has entered G era? 2016 was a good time, despite getting into vanguard after G started, that's when I started playing.
Me too. I first got into vanguard when the G era started and watched all of the episodes up to G and it was cool to wait for new episodes to come out and see new cards be revealed.
I remember when this episode just came out, and I was watching it hyped since the previous series finished telling my older brother it has a new season 😊
It's so nice and bright and vivid, I love it. The voice casting thus far (episode 1) I am satisfied with. Chrono having Baku's voice I'll have to get a bit used to, but he can probably pull it off.

Well done! I wish Bushi would put subtitles for the stuff that we can't read, (like in Buddyfight) but oh well. Chrono's voice is perfect, and the writing is just as good :) "Liberating the Generation Zone" is kinda weird though lol
I just like aichi's reaction when Chrono past him. Imagine it. If a swirl red headed kid jogged past you, your immediate reaction is definitely stare. But Aichi just shrugged and continued with his business. What would be your thought process or reaction if something like this happened to you? Mine would be a cringing confused look XD
Bushi missed a good opportunity to actually _explain_ Stride here. I've heard that the Cardfights will get a bit less "haphazard" in episodes after 10 or so, and the anime might go back to actually explaining some things instead of just spouting game terminology.
In the subbed version it instead takes the time to explain how much the game changed the ( fictional ) world but if u want to know how to stride the wiki does a good job
at the fist fight with chrono and kamoui i sont notice at 10:42 wen kamoui remove a card from chrono deck and put to différents zone there your opportunity to explaine the stride you just mist it lol :P
There's a difference between showing the stock footage of Striding and actually explaining it. Maybe keep the explanations less ham-fisted than season 1, but Chrono has literally never played the game before. Having that much explanation happen off-screen seems rushed.
The begging actually reminds me of my impression of vanguard the first ep im like its what monsters fighting it took me months to get into the anime and eventually the game

Just finished the latest episode of the V Series, now I’m gonna watch the G Series again. Hope it’s not as confusing as I remember Edit: One observation I’ve made is that V Series is more simple with more easy pay off, while G Series has the Stride, witch does allow for the player going second to have some kind of advantage, though like I said, it is still more confusing with less power overall
Also, hello oversaturated colours that aren't in the Japanese TV rips or the Crunchyroll subs... EDIT: It's been fixed as of January 5. Wonder how they screwed it up when the other two episodes weren't...

@@corpsejr.3491 I've recently gone back and watched the original run of the Vanguard anime (the one that predates G and the 2018 reboot), and the quality is night and day. I can actually follow that anime's story as opposed to the reboot series, and despite how goofy it can be sometimes, its still a really good watch. That being said though, I'm pretty interested in building a Narukami Kaiser Vermillion v-deck out of a modified trial deck. The standard format seems pretty balanced for the most part, although I've heard issues about lackluster support for clans like Gear Chronicle. I tend to gravitate towards more of the meta clans though, so it doesn't bother me too much I guess.
It's all a little bit bright haha. Is this the effect of Neon Messiah? Glad to see the Legion Mate arc get skipped, but I do wish this new series explained the cardfights. The actual battles were the best part in series 1.
People can you please STOP with the complaints about G having no plot... look back at the original season, it had NO plot in the first 10+ episodes till they finally got to episode 7 when the card capitol tournament happened. Even then it wasn't that big of a plot impact, the major plot didn't start till half way into the series. So give it a REST! Also to those who don't play attention to their Facebook and the Vanguard Wiki, no we're not skipping BT17 and going to the G stuff, BT17 Ver.E comes out on the 23rd of this month, then we get the G-Trial Decks starting February with GTD01, 02, and 03 in the 27th, followed by G-Booster set 01 on March 13th. It's already been confirmed by bushiroad the rest of the release cycle of stuff as well all they way till June, which by then we will only be 1 booster set and an extra booster behind japan, those being G-BT03, and the Booster Triangle Extra Booster which if the pattern continues we'll be seeing TD03 in July, and the Bermuda Booster in August, which then means we'd see G-BT04 in September since in japan, G-BT04 will probably come out in August since G-BT03 is scheduled for May, an they have a 3 month break between booster sets.
Problem is that's not how japanese television works. They had episodes pre-planned, but they can't just put the series on hiatus till it's closer because they'd lose their time slot on their network.
