      Hello all. Yes, I totally agree with you. Nice video. Flaps on Ranger 1800 are great.
      I fly with FMS Ranger 1200 since Oct 2021 and really enjoy this plane for beginner. Gyro is a good security for beginners and you can easily de-activate it on the radio (3 modes : Beginner/Off/Expert).
      I keep Expert mode for aerobatics.
      Beginner mode for take off and landing phases.
      For a beginner Ranger 1800 is to big. 1200 was the good size.
      So, my return of experience with the smaller Ranger of FMS is very positive. High level of quality. Great price. I think it is a good deal when you compare with similar other planes E-Flite or MPX for example.
      One point to mention : unfortunately, the factory is in China and you really must buy spare parts when they are available.
      For example, currently discontinuity of stock for spinner set glider FMS ASW-17 since... 3 months and no date for next availability in 2023 !.
      This is the only negative point I could share with this trade mark. But it is so important! Because it could force you to stay on the ground for several months if you break an element of the structure (example : rudder, spinner, gear, wing etc.). So, be attentive to spare parts in stock and try to order them when you don't need them 🙂🙂

    Nice flight with that Ranger 1800, really a nice plane that would be easy to see for those of us with older eyes.

    A little bigger and heavier does cut through the wind better, that would be the one complaint i have about many of the smaller craft is always waiting for the wind to go down. thanks for the video

    The Biggest Fault FMS did with that plane was putting the wing fastners on the bottom side its a pain in the but to break it down to fit in say a average size vehicle

    Blimey, that's a big monster.
    If it's larger is it easier to control for a beginner?
    Thanks for the video 😉

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  Рік тому +2

      Yes. Bigger models always fly smoother but they obviously cost a bit more.
