Amazing stuff. Im an engineering student designing a gas turbine for my project. CFD simulation will save me workload, enabling me to do more with the time i have left to compleat it. Thanks for your time.
Hi, Is the webinar file available on SimScale public projects? I just want to know how do you compute the pressure drop/difference between the inlet (before the duct fitting) and at the discharge ends. Thanks
Question: - It is a very good example for engineers new to CFD; at 39:49 Your present: - "Pressure Loss Reduction" for the 3 options - how was this data extracted from the Output Results ? and Was "Design 2" Really any better than "Base Design" ? Can you show how to extract "Pressure Drop", "Flow" at exits from the Simulation Results ... Can you show what parameters are used to assess a Duct's Performance and how they are extracted from the Results ? ... Thanks
Hi Mark! You can have a look at this project which will answer your question: www.simscale.com/projects/Ali_Arafat/hpac_webinar-duct_flow_analysis_1/ - there you can see that a result control item has been used to identify the pressure loss. The post-processing data can be extracted in different file formats (PNG, JPEG, SVG as well as CSV!). The latter file format can then be used to create a chart as you have seen in the video. Hope that helps! Jousef

Great news! Thanks!

Hi there!
You can find the project here: www.simscale.com/projects/dlynch/hvac_pressure_loss_project_1/
See you in the forum!
