3:30 I know you guys know all this, but I’m glad this guy explains the basics. I know a family who’s currently stepping into the world of autism diagnosis. And they don’t always know the what’s and why’s.
Mimicking and on his own path. That was my child and it was so glaringly obvious. But he was diagnosed with EVERYTHING but autism. Sensory Modulation Dysfunction, Retained Primitive Reflex, ADHD and they said he had a low IQ at 4 when he was 2 years advanced across the board. Poor child finally was diagnosed correctly this year as being high functioning but because he masks so well half of the school is on the fence about it still.
Yeah, my son getting evaluated soon and I don’t think he’ll get the diagnosis because he’s so high functioning, but I’m 90% sure he has it. It’s frustrating that it’s still evaluated in terms of deficits instead of having brain scans that can show that the brain is developed differently even if it’s not bad
Where that video had followed with a conclusion regarding his results, does that indicate he exhibits vast amounts of criteria for Level 3 Autism? I may have been incorrect regarding that result.
@MariamClosetsUnfortunately, you had communicated to the wrong person, I am not Dr. Oyalo, I am Aquais. My sincere apologies for any confusions that I may have caused.
@@knlckerbockers This isn't even a full ASD eval... it's a cog, speech, and fine motor, with ASD pre-eval - 115 is just on the cusp of very likely, and for a 4-yo at that. By now he would need to be re-evaled, especially with changes/growth in all of these areas. If cog is this low, might be ID. (Special Educator here, and mom of a neurodiverse child)
… That doesn’t change the fact Autistic people can’t feel their body in space. I hane many stims involving movement and sound, because my body always feels in hyperspace. YOU try feeling like you’re floating away in space and all that can stop it, is an itch-like feeling you have to let out and looks weird to everyone in society. Literally everyone.

He's so patient and has such a soft voice.

I see this was 6 years ago, looking for more of his videos next.
Just FYI this is NOT a full ASD eval
I hadn’t realized how much I still do the “commenting” thing, that’s interesting
I feel like my 3 year old is not going to cooperate when its his time to test.
Same 😂
How old was he in this video?
Can i ask all his signs at age 3 and how hes doing now, and what level was he diagnosed at, thank you
How old was Alistair here? My son is almost 4 and is being assessed next week.
I think he’d just turned 3

Unfortunate when content creators ignore all comments.

There is gravity in space. If there weren't, the earth wouldn't orbit the sun nor would the moon orbit the earth.
Wrong.

HAAAAA I DID not HIT THE TABLE WITH HIS KNUCKLES.
How old is he here?
Hiw old is alistair here ?
Is Alistair intelectually disabled cos of that difficulties with echolalias and understanding speech?
Yes Alistair has autism as well as his 2 older brothers
@@SonicfanFhWcCt how much is his IQ then? Autism does not always mean intelectually disability and retardation.
Speech doesn't determine intelligence.
Nothing in the video suggests intellectual disability. He has problems with speech recall and social relevance.
