Hi. Just got off this ship a few days ago. The highlight was Syd Normans. Our ship was only about half full. We did not have any problems watching the band perform. Would prefer if they were in a larger venue such as Headliners. The rest of the entertainment was sub-par. They need more big shows in the theater.

I’m on the Breakaway right now. I booked in Jan. Then a month ago NCL cancelled our stop in the BVI. So we had an extra day at sea, bummer right? Then tonight we discover that due to wind we can’t tender at Great Stirrup on Saturday. Instead we will dock in Nassau, which is a dump, no disrespect intended. Just stating facts. In short - this is my first AND last NCL cruise. Only Royal Caribbean for me in the future.

I love Breakaway and would do it anytime, but in the evening, I generally like going to the pool/hut tubs/gym, or the casino.
Makes total sense. It’s a great ship. If you don’t mind doing that it’s perfect
I am not a 'show' guy. I would rather watch a classical string quartet or a smooth jazz trio while sitting at the bar. On Celebrity Edge there was a young lady playing upbeat fusion on an electric cello on the dance floor next to the martini bar. It was heaven.
Just got off the Breakaway and I met a lot of great people. I did Dominican Republic, Bahamas, and U.S. Virgin Islands. My family and I had a great time overall but not impressed with the food aboard the ship. Will I travel again on Norwegian…..no.
Nice & honest review..I too, prefer my cabin cleaned daily ( early, NOT 3 pm!! ), mostly for the towels..agree the nightly entertainment on these ships can be difficult to see due to the lines..question: we have booked the Bliss for NYE '25 and I know the Bliss is your favorite NCL ship ( we have been on the Encore, Joy, Escape & Getaway recently..)..how is the entertainment on the Bliss compared to the Breakaway? I LOVED Choir Of Man on the Escape ( like you )...I also don't like that NCL no longer will include shots as part of the beverage package..I.E., I like a B-52 ( Kahlua, Grand Marnier & Bailey's..wonderful!) shot, but on the Escape in December, the bar tender said NCL has stopped doing shots UNLESS you have the upgraded premier package..was pretty bummed out, as I love this shot..thanks again for your reviews & input..
Bliss entertainment is great. You have jersey boys and generally a lot more entertainment around the ship.
Thank you for the tour! I'm sensitive to cigarette smoke - can you let me know if you could smell smoke in the public areas near the open air casino on the Breakaway?

I took this cruise in March, my first cruise, and I'll never do another one. Bonus, I got the flu 4 days in.
So how do you feel about the announcement yesterday by NCL about saving $300 million dollars over the next three year? And the majority of the savings is going to come at the ship level. Where will those cutbacks come if crew can only maybe get to your room once a day?

we're you able to use your priority sapphire status to disembark on the Breakaway? I was off the ship in 30 minutes. same on the escape. I did not.
Wait for an announcement. I looked for the time that I could leave. I did not have any problems getting on the elevator at all.. The itinerary you were just on. Was my second favorite norwegian cruise.. I think the other passengers made it fun. I love their southern hospitality. I Asked the norwegian employee upon embarkation. If I was priority, she said you are more than that.Come this way! I agree with you On burn the floor. Looking at the breakaway next april out of barcelona..and me too will be so excited by the port stops That what is on the ship won't matter as much.
Hi John. That's a great question on status. I don't think they even honor it at that point since there were delays. Breakaway in Europe will be amazing.
New Orleans is the worst port I’ve been to.
I know it is expensive, but the actual broadway shows are what the theater was built for. I thought it was a downgrade to replace Rock of Ages with Six, but to basically replace Six with nothing is horrible.
I’ll be on Breakaway for the fourth time in September, but is solely for the Canada/New England itinerary that we’ve never done before, not for the ship.
That’s a great itinerary at least and you won’t have a ton of downtime
