To sorta explain the "Herobrine" stuff going on at 27:30, from the research I've found across videos, update logs and the wiki, using Lure blocks on their own apparently doesn't reduce Evolution Points anymore, instead they inflict a cooldown to prevent Parasites earning points. Building a "Carcass", this 7x7 setup of Lure Blocks, reduces Evolution points depending on what blocks are used, especially the one in the center.

You know I have a question about the assimilated Enderman. Does it have a ‘chunk loading’ feature? Cause I swear there are times where I’ve completely covered literally every spawnable location with a light source and those bastards are still bringing mobs that shouldn’t be able to spawn anywhere near my base. And the reason I’m asking if they have a kind of chunk loading system to them is because perhaps they can travel to chunks outside of the player’s render distance and pull mobs that would be able to spawn there is there was a player loading them. Kinda like how the Wither Storm mod had the boss able to chunk load I believe a 3x3 area around itself so it could track the player across the world.
I think that goes against Mojang's EULA for mods. They strictly prohibit the ability to directly profit from a mod. This is why Orespawn became its own IP, because TheyCallMeDanger was upset that he could not make Minecraft modding his job.@@troubled_boys

7:05 you just wasted 3 diamonds for a thing that deals 6 damage instead of 7... With 3 diamonds you could craft a diamond axe which damage is 9. Whyyyy you wasted 3 diamonds on that sh1t?? diamond sword is made with 2 diamonds and deals even more damage than that tr4sh.
In my opinion, it is going down the same route as mascot horror games like Hello Neighbour. In which it is fun to watch, but frustrating/unfun to play yourself.

Like super OP guns and swords n' stuff. Like some mods that add powerful magic, firearms, OP melee weapons. I use Flans Mod and Engendered and Ice & Fire to even the odds against the parasytes.
That is what the developer intended it to be as for all of the newer versions. However, "Fix it for us/fix it yourself" is a horrible mentality to have as a developer. Just look at how much backlash Bethesda received for practically asking modders to fix Starfield for them. All of the similar mods for modern MC versions such as Spore, Sculk Horde, From Another World, and Flesh That Hates do not require the player to install 50+ cheap mods and edit a text document for 2+ hours to guarantee more than 5 hours of playtime on a single world. @@SgtHawk45

I like watching Scape and Run, but I don't like playing it. It's too unfair, and even people who do play it do so with mods. It's just a broken and unbalanced mess. Like, if I were to make changes, first off the vast majority of parasites SHOULD NOT spawn naturally. I'd start off with exclusively flying carriers, because it makes sense if they are invaders from another world, and there would only be one a Minecraft day, until they get more points. The only time higher-tier parasites should spawn naturally is in parasite biomes, otherwise they should work together to create higher-tier forms. I think the assimulated Enderman could help with that, so instead of just gathering all the infected to the player, they instead gather them to make higher tier variants. Also, having their natural spawns be tied to the darkness is silly, since caves immediately get filled with parasites and feed off the hostile mobs so quickly, while you can't even get to them. Instead, it should be tied to the surface at the edge of render distance, and they should coordinate lock on the nearest infectable lifeform, so they actually have to find their way into the caves to infect them. There's too much, too fast to get a sense of creeping dread, you just get bum-rushed.
To put it in perspective: I built my house on an island, just far enough from the mainland to where mobs do not spawn. When I explored for a tiny bit before deciding to stay on my tiny island, I heard yellow eyes in the caves below. For awhile, I stayed on my island trying to build my fortress. However, guess what the first parasite I saw was? A DREADNAUT. It had spawned, because beacon spawned underwater, DROWNED, spawned it. I did survive though, despite not having good gear, because boated over the nearby ocean monument, and the guardians WRECKED it. I however never played the mod again after logging, I found it too unfair that you could be as careful as possible, and still get overwhelmed. You can't really play it in vanilla, you have to have supporting mods. I wish it was compatible with the dragon survival mod though, because that might give you enough power to actually fight the parasites...you know, because you could eventually become a living fire-breathing C-130, essentially.
Take your time. I think that it is a pretty fun challenge. Although, you may have to adjust the rules such as the one life rule if you play with mods.@@troubled_boys

I would still recommend the 'Corail Tombstone' mod as it makes retrieving items much easier but i guess the ghost mechanic might be a little OP
