Grimsby, by the way, got it's name from the Vikings, and so did the name of all the other British villages ending with ”by”. ”By” is a Scandinavian word, the meaning is slightly different today in the different Scandinavian languages, but at least in Swedish it means village.

Yes on the Tea contest I’d suggest Tetley, Yorkshire, PG, Typoo and my favourite Cornish Tea Smugglers Brew (I was a Tetley drinker before trying Cornish Tea).
Buns, in Canada, Amanda. That wind-tunnel is maybe where Williams or Haas go in the Winter, to test their Formula 1 Cars. Good video, Amanda, thanks. Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
Tetley is from yorkshire, but the branded yorkshire tea does come up stronger in my experience. Definitely leaves not bags, much better flavour and also if in London visit the twining tea tasting shop opposite the Royal courts of justice for a great experience.
Yorkshire tea is decent because it's a good blend, fairly strong, and as teabags go, on the large side, so you can't fail really. I like Tetley though, they're good, strong, but very ordinary tasting. Personally i use cheap Co - Op ones most of the time because i'm not too fussy ... it's still a fairly decent blend.

Loved this video - and your snorting just made it funnier. And to put the tin lid on it the image of the Union Flag that kept popping up was upside down - probably deliberately :-)
It would of course be correct if the flag pole was on the right (though the wind blowing it appears to indicate a left side pole). Did the video cover British pedantry?
Yorkshire is not the best tea but they take up a huge amount of space in the supermarkets when we are looking for our favourite brands. I think Twinings was one of the earliest tea brands to bring tea to Britain also there were Lyons tea rooms (Indian tea i believe).
On the topic of which type of tea is the best then I must say it has to be Twinings Earl Grey. Definitely loose tea and none of those nasty little teabags. Loved your video. Thank you
Amanda, You know very well tea in England has many guises, black, green, lemon, apple, cinnamon,Raspberry, and more flavours. Yorkshire, Tetley and PG tips are the fast teas, always in bags so they can be pushed in every pocket to work or every trip by transport. But Yorkshire is in my opinion the best of the rest as it has strength enough to be used more than once in a mug and reasonably priced.
Loose Leaf for 'Blending' 2 scoops Darjeeling 1 scoop of Lady Jane Grey for example T bags for quickness, even with a minimum 3 min 'brew' time. As a proud Yorkist I can confirm Yorkshire Tea is loverly, still not my preferred though, that would be Twinnings Strong Breakfast Tea, maybe use that in your taste test? (PS Tetly's is also a good 'Northern Blend') Anything originating from the wrong side of the Pennines is not worth considering. That means Lancashire by the by lol
Teabags v loose tea. Loose tea every time for flavour, but there’s so much faffing around, what with warming the pot, tea strainer, disposing of the spent tea leaves, it’s just way more convenient to drop a teabag into your cup, even though they do take a hundred years to decompose.
Hoop and stick, young children would have a hoop that was probably about two feet across and they would have a stick, they would make the hoop roll along by using the stick on top and rolling the hoop in a forward motion but really this was about 90 years ago, it sounds like great fun to me.
Loose tea made in a teapot. You get a much better cuppa as the tea can circulate freely in the pot. You can also get better quality of tea leaf and a much larger variety of flavours to choose from.

This is our, British, sarcasm at its best. This is wonderful!. I am, too, a Tetley teabag person. Hoop-and-stick was a Victorian children's pastime. Get the hoop rolling and keep momentum up by whacking it with a stick. I consider Yorkshire Tea as rather strong. It would be classified as "Builders Tea" defined by the tea bordering red brown in colour and which the tea spoon stands up unsupported as it so strong.
Dull is twinned with Boring in Oregon. It's lovely and has the Highland Safari and Red Deer Centre is there. Nothing like taking the piss to be more British.

Its well known that the best tea is grown in the lower plantations of the Yorkshire Dales above Harrogate. Its taste is produced by being fed by sheep shit which also gives it, it's distinctive aroma.
Wind tunnel fairy lights it runs down the side of sainsburys in bude cornwall
Fun fact for you Amanda: Yorkshire Tea is different all around the country as the blends are selected for the different types of water.
Ah I didn't know that
what i would say. let other people have their own things so long as it hurts no one else, . Your Freedom ends when it impacts others. Work as a community for the greater good, the good of all, to strive to be better,

Giving or receiving?
Amanda, this video is a very good example of British humour. 😊
Dull is twinned with Boring in Oregon. It's lovely and has the Highland Safari and Red Deer Centre is there.
Nothing like taking the piss to be more British.
