Okay so Guys first things first, the reason this is our second reaction in the MCU and not "The Incredible Hulk" is because unfortunately we reacted to the wrong one, I don't know much about this universe and before I had the current list that we are now following I thought "Hulk" was the right one, so we watched the 2003 movie and not the 2008 one, needless to say that movie was terrible, and as it wasn't even the right one we watched I'm not going to upload that reaction to UA-cam, (its on Patreon if you want to see it but watch at your own risk lol) Anyways "Iron Man 2" now this movie I know Monica and I enjoyed, a lot and Im really looking forward to you guys seeing our reaction to the rest of Phase One, hope you guys enjoy the reaction and hopefully UA-cam doesn't take soo long to approve the rest of the reactions like it did this movie, if you can't wait to see the rest or want to get ahead of the uploads then as always the full unedited reactions to phase one is on the Patreon under full moon tier!!!!
Does that mean you are going to watch/react to the right one (meaning 2008) or no? Because even the a lot of people don’t like it I do and it is the second movie in the MCU so you got to at least watch it once. Also asking here because if it was in the video I missed if you said you were or not. Also characters from that movie do show up later in the MCU so that’s also why I ask
That’s funny. It’s not a big deal to watch iron man 2 before the Incredible Hulk. At this point the movies are pretty standalone.
What? You thought that movie was terrible? I get it's not as fleshed out as Superhero films at the time weren't as 'worked on' but it was still a good movie in my opinion.

Yeah won't be missing anymore, was very new to the universe so I missed that but now ive been told about it and witness some I won't be skipping them!

Old Rhodey had some issues with his pay, and also went a bit crazy inventing new math. Cheadle is a ride or die Rhodey anyways, nothing missed.

Yeah he was asking for more then they where paying RDJ at the time, and RDJ was the star of the movie.
Didn't he also not think the franchise was going anywhere either? Lol
when he asked for more, i beelieve he also said 'you can't fire me, im iron man's friend' & then they replaces him lul
i've heard the rumor that Terrence Howard was asking for the same salary as Robert Downey Jr. for this movie and wouldn't budge on his negotiation, so they recast Rhodey as Don Cheadle. not sure how true that is, but it's the recurring story i've heard about the recasting
It’s true, and he asked for even more money than Robert Downey Jr because he also got more money in the 1st Iron Man movie.
The reason he got so much in the 1st movie and RDJ got so little is because RDJ was still a major risk and a lot of people (including Jon Favreau who plays Happy in the movies) had to pull a lot of strings to allow a movie with RDJ as the main character.
They brought Terrence Howard in on a high salary because they wanted a famous household name next to RDJ. When the first movie turned out to be a succes and RDJ proved the doubters wrong, that was no longer necessary and the crazy salary demands meant he was just replaced
They made the same amount in the 1st movie and Howard thought it would continue that way.
Dammm for real!! if that's what happened then that makes sense, its a shame though I bet he's big mad considering where the franchise went in the end
@@dellcoc well I don't blame terrance howard if marvel studios bring me on to play a role and I'm making more than the star then u tell me in the sequel I gotta make less now becuase the "risk" worked out ...I would ask for the same amount as well. Feige shouldnt of never brought howard in making more money in the first place. They set themselves up
@@RicoPresents It's almost all true, except its thanks to Terrence Howard that RDJ got the role because he vouched for him as a friend and agreed to have his salary slashed so that RDJ could get it. For the second movie, he wanted more money, but at that point everyone knew that RDJ is there to stay and without him its nothing so they did not agree with the demands.
Tony is such a great character in just 2 movies he’s gone through a lot. Nice editing

I love Tony and Peppers relationship throughout the franchise . For most of the first two movies, they are not an actual couple but their vibe is sooo obvious everyone thinks they are.
It’s only at the end of the movie that they truly embrace what everyone already knows - they belong together.
Some MCU movies have a mid-credit scene as well as an end credit scene. Be sure to stick around for them all.

The joke Stark made in the senate hearings "I'd consider Secretary of Defense, nothing else" is extra funny since he was Secretary of Defense at one point in the comics lol.
Fun fact: The kid Tony saved at the end was confirmed by Tom Holland to be young Peter Parker

Bonus fact: The kid that is now young Peter is played by the director Jon Favreau's son.
U guys missed the end credit scene in the first iron man... Samuel jackson was in the scene.

I always enjoy an aspect of this movie that usually gets skimmed over. Tony built his suits with impregnable security redundancies to prevent anyone unauthorized using them, but Rhodey can put one on and is good to go. Stark programmed his system from the beginning to accept Rhodey using the suits.
Rhodes and Pepper. that's why he truly wasn't fighting Rhodes to get it back. He was likely going to give him one eventually.
In the beginning of the Harry Potter sieries I was like: “hopefully she will grow on me.”

The thing with Rhodey is that he took the suit so the government wouldnt take the rest of the other ones so securing one would be enough. and he's the one that wears it so it was really him looking out for Tony. I thought it was a betrayal in the beginning as well.
I'm sure someone else has said it already, but this was the introduction of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. Also, very entertaining reaction! Looking forward to more MCU
For anyone who has seen agents of SHIELD, when tony picks up the phone and says hey how's the land of enchantment. Kinda funny but probably unintentional (If you know you know) it is a bit early

To answer Monica’s question, Natalie Rushman is one of the Black Widow’s aliases. Her American Aliases is Natasha Romanoff, but her actual name Natalia Romanova. She is a Russian Assassin and Spy who was originally an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D until she joins forces with them with the help of another avenger. In regards to powers and abilities, in the comics she is possesses a Peak Human Condition, Intellect and she is a very dangerous fighter in combat and weapons, specifically her Widow’s Bite and Batons

35:10 - Marvel later confirmed that this kid is a very young Peter Parker. Guess Tony did give him something that lasted a lifetime.

What i love bout the mcu is the things u find out bout characters like the senate guy
If you think back to Iron Man, remember young Jimmy, who "threw up the peace sign" for his picture with Stark. Of course, Jimmy lost his life trying to protect Stark. Since that time, Tony has incorporated regular use of the peace sign in his life. Some say it's in tribute to Jimmy.

If I'm not mistaken one of the director says that the kid Tony saved (the one that wearing Iron Man helmet) is Peter Parker.
So this movie is kinda also start of the Spider-man story.
Almost all the villians you will see is because of Tony Stark (in some way or another)

In case no one told you (I found this out myself just recently) Vanko/Whiplash said he'll make salyut (fireworks in Russian), which pretty much sounds like the word 'salute'. Think of it as a double meaning; the drones saluted, and displayed fireworks.

its clear you didnt pay attention to Rhodes and the suit. He gave the suit to the military but he kept the arc reactor. He kept it because he knows Tony has good reason to not trust the military with his proprietary tech. so while they get a suit, they dont get tony's tech. even when hes pissed at Tony, and Tony deserves it, hes still protecting his best friend.

when he said he could only make them salute i think he meant with the software not the hardware but he had been updating th esoftware while hacking them allowing full drone capabilities

MCU Incredible Hulk was pretty good even if they did recast the Hulk for The Avengers, you need to watch it as all these MCU movies are interconnected just like the Marvel comics universe. Also these movies have end credits scenes, in some movies like Guardians of the Galaxy 2 about 5
Marvel Studios retconned the kid wearing the Iron Man mask as a young Peter Parker (Spider-Man).

They actually went there and put in the comic book story of when Tony was an alcoholic. In the comic book it kind of later longer, and I believe he lost his company because of it. The best part of this film is the Black Widow fight scene.

Love the reactions, but I gotta say the huge water mark isn't transparent enough and the movie is too dark in comparison. It makes it very hard to see what is going on. Anything you can do to make that better would be appreciated.

Some people have a hard time saying things like that face to face. Sometimes people are better at putting it in writing or saying it to a camera. And knowing his ultimate goal was to not have Tony end up as indulgent as himself, he seemed like he was trying to be a strict father so as to instill the values he wanted but forgot to be a dad in the process.

Great reaction! This movie is actually my least favorite within the MCU, but that just shows how great all of them are lol. I think there were too many intertwining plot lines, and there wasn’t enough action to keep me fully interested. Nevertheless, I’m glad you two enjoyed it!
